Wow, you had a great year in photography Mads. Epic. What I enjoy about your photos is.....your personality. Yes, strange but true because when you think about it, it is what strikes YOU as being a great photo that makes you take it! And then we get to enjoy it. It's easy to see that photography is part of your soul. Have a great 2023!!!!
Your Lake District videos are some of the very best vlogs of 2022. The collaboration with ND and JP is something that you must continue, they're brilliant. Well done and thankyou
Photo 10 with the heather and the trees of different ages in the background speaks to me. I'm a forester in the Pacific NW and that photo exemplifies a feeling I get when I'm out in the middle of nowhere all by myself at the top of a hill looking out and all I can see is trees. Love it.
What I enjoy the most with this channel is that it's not all about epic places, but rather to find beauty where you don't necessarily expect it. I find it more inspiring than watching videos from locations visited by a billion photographers every year. Happy New Year!
Always nice to have the retrospective. I appreciate the fact that you chose photos you think are good rather than those winning popularity contests on social media. I have enjoyed your photos of Denmark. I'm tired of seeing Iceland, Antarctica, Norway, etc. Every photographer on You Tube all seem to be going to the the same places.
Just watched this a second time after several months, and I wish I could like it a second time. These photos are all fantastic. I always feel so inspired after watching your videos. I love your clear passion for photography. Thank you for sharing your work and enthusiasm.
I think photo 15 , The Shire, does it for me; the light in it really pops. As a Brit (albeit living in China), it amazes me when someone can make my own seemingly ordinary country stand out as something special, perhaps a similar feeling to your "discovery" of some of the wonderful scenes to be had in your own country. There are many positive things that draw me to your videos, but one in particular is your ability to spot a scene within a scene, often small and distant, and to capture it and make it into something special. Happy New Year, and looking forward to more of your good work in 2023!
So many beautiful images. I always come away from your videos feeling inspired and tingling all over. That Lake District photo of the tree has the tingle factor. It is my very favourite of all. Thanks Mads. Please come back soon. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
A great retrospective of your year of photography and some wonderful images. My wife and I enjoy your channel every week and in this video I really like the volcano images. I like your characterization of the "shire", too.
I especially love how its not always the epic image that is a favourite and I totally get that. I have to make the most of my surroundings as at the moment I havent had the resources to do anything else. I think my favourite photo is the swans or the sand bars..... Thank you for everything you do.
what a year, Mads, filled with such beautiful pictures,. You shouldn't doubt the year to come, I am sure that you will run out of walls to hang your favourite shots on :-) best wishes for 2023!
Thanks for that Summary of your great, great 2022, Mads! For me, the top three fotos are: 1. The Denmark tide pools. This photo is so amazing! I sit half an hour looking at it - cunldn't belive that such a great photo where all all all comes thogether in such a perfect way is possible. It is crazy too, that you planned it! 2. The Swans in the mist 3. The volcano with its great lava structure. But I love your typical England-Tree-with-light photo, too. Keep going your way :-) Wish you all the best for 2023!!
I LOVE your enthusiasm and absolute joy in sharing your work! Thank you so much. I’m 70, taken photos, happily, since I was young but am all over the place with types of photos and, honestly, a lack of confidence. Thank you again! ❤
Fantastic. Love these images. Such an inspiration. I also like how you share photos that are important to you, but ones others might not have the same appreciation. This makes the photo even more special.
I absolutely love how expressively excited you are about each of the epic photos. You have had a wonderful year of great locations, conditions and memories. Can't wait to see what you are up to for 2023. Happy New Year!
I always look foreword to your year-in-review video, and as usual, this one did not disappoint!!!! It’s fun to relive the best of the beset of 2022… Bravo Mads !!!!
These photos are absolutely gorgeous. It’s the best hobby to have, it can really change your life. Happy new year and thank you for taking us along on your journeys.
I've stopped watching so many youtube photographers lately but I remain a subscriber of this channel. I still watch Popsys because he's usually witty but I've dropped Heaton and Danson. Fine photographers and TH-camrs but I waste too much time watching instead of doing so I'm being more selective. I find your videos and your style so relaxing - don't change. HNY.
Congratulations! Outstanding images taken in ordinary locations. Please don't ask my favorite. Thank you for all the great information you present in your different videos.
I have bought bought your e-books and i can recommend them to everyone.. Thank you so much for all your share, as a beginner i have learned a lot and i am looking forward to the continuation. I wish you happy new year from Norway.
Thank you Mads for all your videos & stunning photos in 2022. This selection was superb, just shows what a brilliant photographer you are. All the best for 2023 & a Happy New Year.
This was very enjoyable especially since it recalled all those wonderful videos over the past year where these photographs were created. Hard to pick a favorite but I think the lone "green" tree was mine. Maybe because we've had such a harsh winter so far here in Wisconsin USA and that beautiful photo helps cure the wintertime blues. Also heartening to hear that even master photographers post photos that they love only to see them met with a tepid response on social media! Have a safe, healthy and happy New Year Mads!
Super Awesome photographs! I can see why they are your favorites. I don't know how you can even narrow your selection to 18 they are all so gorgeous! Hope you have a safe an happy new year!
Totally blown away by your beautiful images, Mads! Thank you so much for sharing them, and for you inspiration. Happy Christmas, and wishing you all the best for a wonderful 2023, from Portland, Oregon.
All incredible images Mads, my top three (and it’s a difficult choice) are the shot from March and the misty lake with the birds flying through the scene, absolutely gorgeous. On a similar theme, the Swans, minimalism at its most beautiful and I would have to go with the drone shot of the volcano 🌋 in Iceland, I know this was a huge hit on social media but how often do you get to fly above one and get such an angle, simply epic. I was lucky enough to photograph Fagradalsfjall back in 2021 and like yourself it is something that will stay with me for life, the image I got takes pride of place on my wall. You have had an incredible year it has been great following you. Happy New year and best wishes for 2023 👌👍📷
Some fantastic images from a very productive year. Two things I particularly enjoyed were the number of images from your home turf in Denmark, and also how many you used the telephoto lens for. Brilliant!
Thanks, Mads, for all the amazing photos and videos you showed us over the last few year(s). I enjoyed these very very much. Wishing you all the best for the New Year 2023 and look forward to your next tutorials ! Success !
Your photos are my inspiration to get out and get moving! Stunning! I especially love the low tide- cloud reflections with you standing in it! Looking forward to 2023 and thank you!
As you produce sooooo many stunning pictures and videos over the year, I‘m always looking forward to this kind of video! It‘s so amazing how many different but nevertheless beautiful scenes you captured. 😱🤩 I wish you a nice start into 2023! Hopefully February brings you a nice picture next year 😉
Those are great choices for your favorite photos of 2022. I like that you chose them for the ones you like and not the ones that got the most likes in social media. I’m looking forward to your 2023 videos.
Stunning photos. I so enjoy your videos. They are always educational and your enthusiasm for photography is contagious. Wishing you a Happy New Year and may your upcoming year bring you new and exciting compositions that will make you smile. God bless!
Hey Mads, I really enjoyed this video of you reviewing your photography for 2022, you got amazing shots. I think that your shots which were not popular on Instagram are beautiful. You captured many beautiful moments, but I have to say, the picture of the swans is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. Also, I love your Lord of the Ring shot. When I first saw it I thought the same thing… WOW… that’s a GORGEOUS shot of the shire!😁 Congratulations Mads on a fantastic photography year and I wish you an amazing 2023. Happy New Year!🙂
Happy New Year from the far side of the world (Tasmania) and thankyou; your craft is an inspiration for us all, but it is your enthusiasm and generosity of spirit that makes your channel such a joy to watch. Image #1 is glorious masterpiece, but that which touched me most is #3 - a brilliant abstraction of colour and form in the tradition of the great Franco Fontana (who nobody seems to acknowledge 🤷♂). Keep up the great work, your channel is a gift for those who love landscape photography.
Some outstanding photos Mads. My favorite is the 15th photo with the sun behind the tree. It doesn't get any more English countryside than that and is the epitome of The Shire. I'm sure Bilbo's front door is just on the other side of that hill.
Firstly, well done to create so many fantastic images again this year and so interesting to view and hear the reasons why you chose them. It was interesting to see so many with a longer focal range. I liked the fact that images from your homeland took priority and especially them possibly being original. It must be rewarding to get a composition and conditions locally that is unique. I was a little surprised not see any seascapes from your recent amazing trip to Cornwall but you have so many to chose from for different reasons. You had spectacular conditions especially at Botallack Mines. I’ve had countless outings battling with strong south westerly winds and sea spray on that coast hanging onto my gear watching several items fly through the air and into the Atlantic. Have you been to Cott Valley (Porth Nanven). It’s one of my fav coves. Looking forward to your videos in 2023. Best wishes from Devon.
Yeah, it was a great year and as you exactly say, my home country photos do take priority often. I did get quite a good amount of photos from Cornwall that I liked and one did make it into the montage, but there were just so many other photos that came in on top, especially from Wales abd the Lake District. I'm also a bit surprised not many more seascape photos made it into the top, but looking back at it I actually haven't done that many seascape photos in 2022. We did visit many other locations in Cornwall, but they're going into another project I'm working on ;)
Outstanding series of photos Mads. Enjoyed all your videos and looking forwards to following you in the upcoming year. Have a very Happy New Year to you and your Family.
You should be proud of your work even the one that didn't make it were beautiful, you have a great future in photography, keep posting the videos ill enjoy them very much, thank you have a great and healthy 2023....
Cheers Mads, it’s Sean in Atlanta! I have happily followed you for the last seven years and each year I am amazed at the impact your images have on me! This year’s album takes my breath away! You should know that I follow practically every major photographer on TH-cam and you always end up at the top of the list! Thanks again for another year of such beautiful photos and videos! Sean
You have been one of the most inspirational image makers for me this year, many thanks Mads. Looking forward to seeing your new work. All the best for the new year and may your success continue.
Very Happy New Year. I just wait to see your awesome photos and videos again next year! I'd really like to experience those beautiful places with my camera, too. Maybe some day:)
You have a lot of magical landscape images and my fav ones are of the active volcano in Iceland. One day I will make it to Iceland! Thank you for sharing your photography journeys! 🙂
Vert nice presentation. I would say I have not a favorite Photo but I like a lot four of them: the one with the birds flying on the lake in the fog, the one with the swans in the fog and the first two photos from England.
Very glad to see and hear the differences in a true artist’s vision vs that of novices. Of course most of the images presented here seem universal, pleasing in the eyes and moving in hearts of all. Thank you, indeed!
Amazing pictures and great expressions your feelings. It keeps me inspired for the next year too. Late of this year I started to carry my camera and stick to your style. I love it 😍 Merry Christmas and happy new year to you 🎉
Your work is absolutely amazing! I watch all of your videos and I'm never disappointed! This re-cap of the best from 2022 is mind blowing. You are so fortunate to be able to access so many wonderful places and to have the good luck, skills, and opportunities to create such wonderful images. It would be impossible to select a favorite from these photos. I would be very curious to know how many days of the year you actually ventured out with your camera with the intent of making photographs? I'm looking forward to 2023 to see what we can all accomplish with our cameras in the year ahead. Thanks for taking me along on your adventures.
Congratulations and thank you for sharing your best shots. There is a lot of work to be able to accomplished all those fabulous photos. Bravo and happy new year from Canada.
Thank you for showcasing your wonderful best work from 2022; a source of great inspiration! Thank you as well for producing the videos over the course of the year; I have greatly enjoyed watching I think probably all of them! All the very best to you and your family for 2023.
what a fantastic reflection of your 2022 photography I am not sure how you will improve in 2023, the images & videos you have produced to date are first class. I am a novice/beginner at photography & have been following you along with ND & JP for my own learning journey, long may you all keep doing what you do.
Thank you, Shaun :) I'm not sure either. It's a hard one. I'm very content with the quality of my photos, so it's hard to aspire to "improve", I think it's mainly about just trying a lot of new things, get different photos (not necessarily "better") and maybe try to fullfil some projects :)
Many thanks Mads for a super year of vlogs and images. The favourites are great - plus also your montage of those that "didn't quite make it" ! All brilliant. Happy 2023!
Fantastic, I enjoyed that so much that I'm going to watch it again - thank you! What an amazing year of stunning photographs, I am inspired by your work and look forward to 2023.😀
Your photos are amazing , the mood , light and nuances , so difficult to achieve results like these . Amazing quality images . Looking forward to seeing your work in 2023 .
I love that one of the gifts of Covid times was that you really started to explore the beauty and splendour of your own country, and have continued to do so. You definitely show off Denmark in a wonderful light (no pun intended!!). I very much enjoyed your Dolomites and Lake District epic videos as well, and it never ceases to amaze me the immense effort you put into your videos. Wishing you a very Happy New Year Mads, and I am excited to see what you have for us in 2023!!
As much as I like your photography what I really enjoy is your enthusiasm. I hope 2023 is another great year for you.
Your swan photo is mind-blowing! Of course, I enjoyed all your "best of 2022", but that one has to be my favorite, so romantic.
Your Lake District videos are some of the very best vlogs of 2022. The collaboration with ND and JP is something that you must continue, they're brilliant. Well done and thankyou
Thank you for reminding us that, while photography can be work, we can have a lot of fun too!
Photo 10 with the heather and the trees of different ages in the background speaks to me. I'm a forester in the Pacific NW and that photo exemplifies a feeling I get when I'm out in the middle of nowhere all by myself at the top of a hill looking out and all I can see is trees. Love it.
Love the March photo with the low flying birds on the lake. They are all good in different ways. All the best for 2023.
What I enjoy the most with this channel is that it's not all about epic places, but rather to find beauty where you don't necessarily expect it. I find it more inspiring than watching videos from locations visited by a billion photographers every year. Happy New Year!

Just watched this a second time after several months, and I wish I could like it a second time. These photos are all fantastic. I always feel so inspired after watching your videos. I love your clear passion for photography. Thank you for sharing your work and enthusiasm.
Beautiful, as always. I agree that there’s something special about the photo you took five minutes from your hometown.
23:17 the image reminds me of the flying hills in Avatar, which are also in the clouds. What a beautiful picture
I think photo 15 , The Shire, does it for me; the light in it really pops. Photo nr 5 and 13 are my favourites! But photographing a volcano must have been a once in a lifetime experience! Stunning photos!
what a year, Mads, filled with such beautiful pictures,. You shouldn't doubt the year to come, I am sure that you will run out of walls to hang your favourite shots on :-) best wishes for 2023!
My favourite would have to be the swans. Clean, simple, and beautiful, yet still compelling.
Thanks for that Summary of your great, great 2022, Mads! For me, the top three fotos are: 1. The Denmark tide pools. This photo is so amazing! Mads, superb photos. All of them. But that one with the volcano......Love it!
Beautiful photos. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with next year.
I LOVE your enthusiasm and absolute joy in sharing your work! Thank you so much. I’m 70, taken photos, happily, since I was young but am all over the place with types of photos and, honestly, a lack of confidence. Thank you again! ❤

Great Reflection Mads! Looking forward to 2023! Stay well!
All of your photos are jaw dropping and have a very emotional element to them. Thank you for the inspiration to keep trying. :)
A great year of photos! Thank you for sharing your expertise, enthusiasm, and infectious joy in being out in nature.
I always look foreword to your year-in-review video, and as usual, this one did not disappoint!!!!
It’s fun to relive the best of the beset of 2022…
Bravo Mads !!!!
As always, such a great experience watching your content. The Lake District pictures blew me away
Mads, thanks so much for bringing so much enjoyment to us in 2022. I wish you all the best for 2023. Thanks for talking about photos not gear. 😊
HNY.
Incredible shots! Can't wait for 2023!
Thank You Mads for showing Your favourites to all of us and have a nice and healthy new year 2023! Manfred
One of your best videos as such a good reminder of the quality and amazing photos that you have got over the year, very inspiring.
I've enjoyed all your videos and images from 2022. There are quite a few epic scenes, but I've also enjoyed your lovely shots of Denmark.
Love the different subject and lightning. New inspiration. Have a good 2023 with lots of perfect hits.
Super Awesome photographs! I can see why they are your favorites. I don't know how you can even narrow your selection to 18 they are all so gorgeous! Hope you have a safe an happy new year!
Love the shot of that tree Mads..Ive driven past it myself many times and thought wow...
Your 2022 photas are amazings, you have really improve your photogtaphy trough out the years. Congratulations
Totally blown away by your beautiful images, Mads! Thank you so much for sharing them, and for you inspiration. Happy Christmas, and wishing you all the best for a wonderful 2023, from Portland, Oregon.
Love your photos from Denmark, much more subtle and thoughtful than the admittedly dramatic photos from Iceland. Happy New Year!
Wonderful finish to 2022. Good Luck in 2023
All incredible images Mads, my top three (and it’s a difficult choice) are the shot from March and the misty lake with the birds flying through the scene, absolutely gorgeous.
Brilliant!
You really are a rolemodel for me concerning landscape photography, I personally like your photos most out of all landscape photographers 🤩
Happy New Year, Mads.
Your boundless enthusiasm is very infectious.
Looking forward to what you come up with in 2023
Thank you for sharing your favourites and why they are so special. Just loved the images and enjoyed your happiness in explaining them. xxx
Lovely year for you, Mads. Mostly landscapes this year over seascapes. Love the goat one. Happy New Year!
You've had quite a year Madz, congrats on epic photos.
As you produce sooooo many stunning pictures and videos over the year, I‘m always looking forward to this kind of video! It‘s so amazing how many different but nevertheless beautiful scenes you captured. 😱🤩 I wish you a nice start into 2023! Hopefully February brings you a nice picture next year 😉
Always such a treat to see your favs from the year! 🌟🙏🏻👍🏻💯
God bless!
Mads, You had an exellent year of photography!
Brilliant year, brilliant photos! Thank you Mads. Best wishes for the New Year!
Awesome photos from this year mads, arguably your best to date.., 😃👍🏻
Fabulous video, gorgeous photos and a pleasure to follow you through the year! All the best!
Some outstanding photos Mads. My favorite is the 15th photo with the sun behind the tree. It doesn't get any more English countryside than that and is the epitome of The Shire. I'm sure Bilbo's front door is just on the other side of that hill.
Amazing pictures! Happy New Year and I am looking forward to more next year.
Thanks for sharing these magical moments!
Wolfgang
So many great images, Mads - thanks for sharing! From the 'other favourites' I really like the tiny tree in golden like from the Dolomites
We did visit many other locations in Cornwall, but they're going into another project I'm working on ;)
Wonderful to take this walk back through the year with you. My favorite is the swan photo - but it is really hard to choose. 😊
Outstanding series of photos Mads. Enjoyed all your videos and looking forwards to following you in the upcoming year. Have a very Happy New Year to you and your Family.
Thank you for the ongoing education, also for sharing the variations of light.
Sean
Thank you so much for such a kind comment, Sean! Really means a lot you follow along for so many years! 🙏
great year, can't wait for 2023
You have been one of the most inspirational image makers for me this year, many thanks Mads. Looking forward to seeing your new work. All the best for the new year and may your success continue.
Some of them photos are phenomenal, best photographer on TH-cam in my opinion, can't wait to see more in 2023. Have a happy and healthy new year 🎉
Very Happy New Year.
Thank you Mads for all your beautiful photos, all the inspiration and the interesting videos! :) Happy new year! :) /Tommy.
So many wonderful photos Mads. I have enjoyed the journey watching them each week. You are quite the fog and mist finder I must say.
Fantastic selection of images Mads.Have enjoyed all your videos and have learnt alot from them , Happy New Year
Its been wonderful to be able to follow you on your photographic journey over the last few years. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for taking us on another great year of photography Mads. I've enjoyed every moment of your videos. A very happy 2023 to you and your family.
Wonderful selection of fantastic images throughout 2022. Congrats, Mads! Happy New Year! Can’t wait to see what epic light 2023 brings for you …
Amazing pictures and great expressions your feelings. It keeps me inspired for the next year too.
Late of this year I started to carry my camera and stick to your style. I love it 😍
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you 🎉
Your work is absolutely amazing!
Thank you, Shaun :)
I'm not sure either.
What an amazing year of stunning photographs, I am inspired by your work and look forward to 2023.😀
Great photos. They are a symphony to my eyes. Happy New Year.
Your photos are amazing , the mood , light and nuances , so difficult to achieve results like these . Amazing quality images . Looking forward to seeing your work in 2023 .
Mads do you have many trips planned for next year ?
I love that one of the gifts of Covid times was that you really started to explore the beauty and splendour of your own country, and have continued to do so. You definitely show off Denmark in a wonderful light (no pun intended!!). I very much enjoyed your Dolomites and Lake District epic videos as well, and it never ceases to amaze me the immense effort you put into your videos. Wishing you a very Happy New Year Mads, and I am excited to see what you have for us in 2023!!
