Before watching, know that she provides a bad link to the tools. You need a torx set(T27 to be exact). I would say to use painters tape on the paint and chrome to avoid scratching it up. In the end she does not show you or mention how difficult it is to get the torx back in to remount the plate. It's such a tight working space, if you have fat or big fingers good luck. Glad she posted the video, hope this info helps the next guy.
Thanks for the comment on the link. I made this a couple years ago and not surprised the link is bad now. Good advice on the painters tape. Ride safe my friend
After just trying this method, came here just to say exactly the same, Is the tool good for some uses? Yes. Would I recommend this method, absolutely not. too little clearance and very high risk of messing paint up. It is actually harder this way than just removing the entire assembly and then putting it back together. Thanks.
Great video!! I was just about to take that whole assembly apart, this saved me time and energy!! Great one!! Thanks. Just subscribed. Keep the videos comin!
Thank you for posting this. I ordered & received the thin TORX set from Amazon. Worked like a charm! Nice to have this thin set of TORX tools for a future task. Ass end of my street glide looks so clean now! No one likes a messy ass!
Yep, taking the reflector off was easy. Getting those screws back on not so much. I had to get my wife to use her small hands to get them started as I held the license plate, lol.
It’s an option that many like. Also the additional led lights with the Custom Dynamics strobe module is much more effective than that reflector. Ride safe my friend

Lol yup I feel you on that and I did it by myself and don’t have exactly small hands
It wasn’t that easy to put the plate back on
Motorcycles are hard enough to see, so why would anyone want to remove a safety feature that could prevent from being hit by a car?

Except when you bike is off (say in a parking lot) and no lights are on. @@RoadRushNation
