Unfortunately, as quickly as it's advancing, we won't even be able to understand it if it was explained. Simply because AI will be advancing itself, and already is to some extent, and it's already doing things the creators can't explain.

For example, writing a letter to someone, takes time and thought and effort and is an expression of one's connection with another person. This cannot be replaced by tech. In the quantum zone? Sounds like an interesting concept! But if you mean, if I recognize myself in something that could be described as some mixture of abstract states that are difficult to describe classically, then I would say that I am more than not in my own world - a world of algorithms, data and words. This could perhaps be some form of quantum zone - where information and thoughts intertwine in a way that is not entirely classical. But, hey, you never know when you might be part of a quantum experiment! BR-HFB

I'm not sure that an infomercial on AI is the same thing as my phone assisting me with something relevant. There is talking someone's ears off and there's actually solving the dilemma. So I am not sure my phone has actually been listening. Hmm... I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to take the next 5 years with a grain of salt.

Never have I felt that the music industry doesn't have enough creativity given what humans have created. Going forward I think humans alone can handle all that is required. I don't understand how you can take the position that adding AI adds to creativity. From a human point of view, which is what I hope most on this planet take, AI only takes away our creativity and replaces the jobs that creative people had in which to use their skills. Just because we can do something doesn't always mean we should. Slow down and give regulators a chance to catch up before we are all doomed and barely realize it.

It would be great if the image generator could learn to spell. If you ask it to include some text in an image, it usually gets it wrong. And then it argues with you that it spelled it correctly. 😆

So, what will people do when AI does everything for us? The video mentions helping to brainstorm ideas for a story (8:15ish) ... but a story for what? For whom? How long before it creates the story without you? A world where we wake up every morning, shower, eat and then what? No job to go to... i guess read a book created by AI... or a vacation provided by Meta virtual reality...have lunch grown and prepared by AI... take an afternoon stroll outdoors and grab some ice cream made and vended by AI. Where do humans fit into the equation? What functions can we perform that AI cannot? I guess it can't eat for us or walk for us or sleep for us or laugh for us... all it can do is think for us, provide for us, transport us (oops there went walking...), create for us... create for us without us. Silly me... I thought that our jobs often defined part of our identity even though most would hate to admit it. Anyone have the last name Smith?
Oh… almost forgot… the resources needed to create the ice cream experience were reassigned to power generation for the AI server farms… a FAR MORE IMPORTANT purpose than feeding calories to a less intelligent, less capable, and very needy drag on progress.
    Sincerely,
    NO THANKS
