I’m a very strong believer in all of us belonging to a village/tribe/clan. What we call it is not that important, how we live in it is important. Music soothes, is an escape from or head space, and gives us strength to fight. I encourage you to use Dan and his music, along with the village he has created for all of us. Thank you❤ My daughter has been battling depression, attempted suicides and ptsd for almost 6 years; Shes stronger now and gives those demons a run for their money, but its a daily battle.... Listening to this song, I realise she needs to hear these words from someone other than me; music is such a powerful tool. Ive added it to her morning playlist. I know this is an old post but Ive seen many where youve been supportive and informative regarding mental health. I dont have the words to express how much this means. We all need reminding there are people.out there who arent judgemental and accept life can be a more difficult journey for some. Yesterday I send your song to my “adopted “daughter, she is calling me mom for years.Her mom died but even before that she called me this way.She is a friend with my oldest daughter since middle school.She has many problems ,I won’t go into details, but actually she scared me last night when we were texting. To cheer her up I sent a song which I’m listening almost every day, and many others after my son died 2 years ago ,will be July 11. This is sooooo beautiful and true! So many lifes are lost in vain, and for some it is the only way and we just has to deal with it. Some years ago my phone rang in the middle of the night. It was a man, he didn't say his name, but he wanted me to sit with him the last hour of his life. When I hang up he lived no more. I cried, of course, I cried so much, I wanted to save his life but I realised that it was not my choice to make. He was content and we prayed, and I sang to him. I learned so much that night. And I think this song, and the awarness of suicide prevention can save peoples life. When you sang Dan, it felt as you sang directly to me, eventhough I know you didn't. But I believe that you can reach peoples heart with your song och your sincerity. God bless you, and may he keep you safe from wandering off from the path he has given you to follow.
