I told them to guess my sign based on my personality, two chances each, no one ever got it right, and of course they're gonna ignore how wrong they are (most of the time) and affirm themselves based on the few other times they get things right by chance. If they say Yes then they'll most likely base their personality around their sign, only if you know how zodiac signs are "supposed to" act. I dont believe in them because I came to a realization that anybody can have the traits and display the same emotions as every other zodiac sign. Yep, in astrology, you have more than one sign: there's the dominant sign (which is the one told by the month) and the ascending and descending signs (told by the time you were born). There's also a bunch of minor signs too, and the only reason I know this is because I had a friend who was so crazy about astrology that she paid for private astrologers to read her horoscope frequently, and once tried to talk me into it. Astrology is quite interesting for character building though, and even Araki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's author) uses it to create some of his characters' personality.
I've noticed that to get around someone not matching the sign for their birth month or whatever, they have the other "rising" etc. signs so the mash up of signs can be used to cast a wider net to make them fit the astrology stuff

Its just the Barnum effect, whereby information directed to a specific group (personality of zodiac signs) relates to those individuals themselves, yet is proven to be vague and could infact occur to people outside this groups aswell.
The thing with zodiac signs and why most people believe it is mainly cause each birthday like months are given specific troupes and if that troupe is slightly just very slightly close to a habit you already have, you just straight up believe the rest of the bullshit written on there. It's literally basically self diagnosing yourself when you read into the facts about your astrology sign which generally makes you wanna believe it slightly when in actuality you were literally nothing as described by the sign. Yep, in astrology, you have more than one sign: there's the dominant sign (which is the one told by the month) and the ascending and descending signs (told by the time you were born). There's also a bunch of minor signs too, and the only reason I know this is because I had a friend who was so crazy about astrology that she paid for private astrologers to read her horoscope frequently, and once tried to talk me into it. Astrology is quite interesting for character building though, and even Araki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's author) uses it to create some of his characters' personality.
The signs have symbolic qualities that make it good for character arcs

When I was younger I thought astrology was cool but that's only because I liked stars and constellation but I never took it seriously it was like a fun personality quiz. I have friends who joke about each other's signs but it's all a bit of fun. I was shocked to discover that it was taken very seriously and treating people weirdly for their birthdays was okay
I never was able to get into it because i was born on the summer solstice, the solstice is when it changes between gemini and cancer, once i read a bit about it i was like these are polar opposites and gave up. I nevre tried getting into after that, but will admit one of these astrology chicks called me out about my whole personality and knew my sign completely after 5 minutes of meeting me without me telling her really anything. Kinda freaked me out lmao

The thing with zodiac signs and why most people believe it is mainly cause each birthday like months are given specific troupes and if that troupe is slightly just very slightly close to a habit you already have, you just straight up believe the rest of the bullshit written on there. It's literally basically self diagnosing yourself when you read into the facts about your astrology sign which generally makes you wanna believe it slightly when in actuality you were literally nothing as described by the sign. This in turn makes you act out the way your sign just tells you too and your forcing yourself to develop those "stereotypical" behaviors. It's literally slight manipulation in disguise that basically sums up the zodiac signs

Basically the sign most people think of is sun, and it’s which constellation the sun aligned with when you were born, then moon, then I think rising was what constellation was on the eastern horizon? i think there’s something to astrology, like a few specific traits abt someone, like virgos being nicer and geminis being two sides, or like comparability tends to be pretty accurate. it’s not a science tho that’s for sure and you can’t just ask questions abt hobbies and look at a person to figure it out.
I’m a Pisces which is a water sign. And yes I am a crier. Not just movies or songs but in general I have a lot of emotions. Astrology is fun and sometimes things do makes some sense but it’s crazy to live your life by it. Having said that here’s a fun fact about Pisces. We are the last of the signs and every sign holds some traits of signs above them-basically it means Pisces be kinda crazy because we got a little bit of all the signs and elements.
