Moving on we view stamps from the Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, Fiji & Finland! I enjoyed this journey through these folders and I hope you did as well!
I hear in your voice that inner struggle all stamp collectors face in choosing between hoarding and collecting. Choose quality over quantity and avoid burying yourself in mounds of common paper you will never have the time to enjoy......at least in a single lifetime. ;-)
Hi! Quite a large accumulation of Finland stamps. The dog and owl stamps are lovely and adorable. I enjoyed, as always, to discover and look at the stamps. Now I have a better idea of Finland stamps, as well as those islands. I think the pronunciation of place names, or any names, can differ a lot depending in which language it is pronounced, even in different English "dialects", e.g. British, American, Australian. Maybe one should check how it is pronounced in Finnish, but then English speaking people might think it is the wrong pronunciation. 😆So, to find the "right" pronunciation is not so simple. I thought to remember it as "all land" as you said is probably the easiest.
Good afternoon, I looked at the excellent postage stamps with pleasure
I can’t wait until you get to Guatemala. That’s one of my primary countries I collect

The stamps on your last card were actually Norwegian. Presumably Norway Post had a booth at Pacific 97 Expo.

I agree that the dialect must be the determining factor! Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed and hope you are having a wonderful weekend Charnie!😊
@@KylesStamps May your weekend be excellent as well! 🙂🙂🙂
Great video, very good!!!
Thanks!
Love your vids .
Thank you!
Åland is pronounced awland (aw like in law). The a in land is pronounced like a in marble. I am Scandinavian.
ALAND = in English will be said as A-LAND. Perhaps what you say it was Oland could be in Finnish.
That could be!
