  • Hi there! We look at stamps from Fiume very briefly and then go through my France folder! There are some really enjoyable French stamps in the philatelic world. I find most of them to have a beautiful design. I love those old Napoleon stamps. I'm pretty sure they are MCV even though they are so old. I had fun this episode and hope you enjoyed the search!
Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe if you enjoy my videos!

Ya for sure, that's just what i'm doing. Stamping while watching and listening to your episode, I love all your finds with the particular stamp you love I can't remember what it is but you have found like at least 6-8 of them. Thanks Kyle, nice job and don't worry about taking too long on your episode as we all like being here and seeing too what you come up with.

Fiume is now called Rijeka and is part of Croatia. Comp means complete as in a complete set. The French satellite pair is part of an omnibus issue by various French colonies. The purple stamp at 8:50 is not a postal cancel but a precancel. You have many of these precancels throughout the video. Not native Americans, the painter Gauguin traveled to French Polynesia. Love French art stamps. The stamp at 16:17 that you are not familiar with is a Parcel Post stamp. I love the star cancellations as in 19:19. The two stamps at 36:44 are not France but New Hebrides. One definition of Condominium means joint control. Both the French and the British issued stamps for New Hebrides. The stamps at 40:57 is actually Reunion. The CFA overprint means French African Colonies. Comoro Islands is listed separately in Scott. The stamp at 49:18 with the overprint Tanger (Tangiers) you will find in French Morocco. Both Guadeloupe and Martinique are overseas departments of France. They once issued their own stamps but not anymorre. Most of thise stamps are Marianne. Only the older ones with the Roman like hairdo are Ceres. The Mont Blanc stamp is French.

The stained stamp is a tape stain. Someone used tape for a hinge. The red one with selvedge is advertising. The neat round cancels are precancels.

I always enjoy the Kyle's cabinet episodes. An hour or so's relaxing browsing through stamps. I don't mind the length of the videos because they are so relaxing and not intensive thinking necessary. Thanks Kyle! Enjoyed the French stamps. Most of them are really beautiful!

Can you suggest on where to store double stamps? Is glassine safe for many years? If not can you give other sugestion? 102 cards are not available in Europe

Glassines are just fine for quite a while. When they start to change color to yellow or brown it's best to replace them. It usually takes years for them to become acidic and discolored.

Another good solution would be stockbooks or stock pages like Vario pages. It’s all preference and budget. I’m still trying to figure out my favorite storage solution.
