post metal is my favorite subgenre, and maaybe blackgaze is different enough to say you missed it
Blackgaze, blackened crust, crustcore, d-beat, crasher crust, stenchcore, brutal death metal with beatdown influence (like Kruelty), drone and the list goes on.

Goregrind, Pornogrind and "Kawaii Metal" are my favorites out of the weird subgenres, but I'll definitely have check out some more Estonian Fliptronic Gilgamesh Pudding Metal!

(0:43) That was Groovy Goregrind. Since regular Goregrind is Grindcore and Death Metal influenced it's less bouncy and faster with blast beats.

band maid is not kawaii metal, it's more hard rock. kawaii metal is a "subgenre" limited to few groups like necronomidol(partly), death rabbits, babymetal, ladybaby of which only necronomidol and babymetal are Good, especially the first.

Necromomidol it’s definitely pretty good. I feel it’s a more honest Babymetal.
I feel that kawaii metal is just electronicore but with idols as vocalists.

Considering that Babymetal started as an idol group from one of the big agencies in Japan, they are as industry plants as you can get. Not to say they are bad but yeah not a organic band
i love babymetal, but they're not really a band as much as they are an idol group with a supporting metal band. if you want Kawaii Metal BANDS, you should check out Maximum The Hormone, BRATS, Bridear, TELECiDE, and C.LitZ (yes, that is actually their name, I love it)
Kawaii Metal idol groups include: BABYMETAL (obviously), Ladybaby, KaqiryoTerror, Candye Syrup, FruitPochette, BiS, BiSH, Necronomidol, and also C.LitZ (Mone plays the bass but performs as an idol)
I feel like the idea of Babymetal being industry plants is a bit of a misconception due to their being mislabeled as a *band* in the west, while in their home country it's very clear they're an idol group, not a band.
Kawaii Metal and alt-idols are one of my special interests, so I know a lot about the subject.

Yeah you’re right! That’s why I did a “trying to be Mick Gordon” riff on the video I posted today and I added some chainsaws there (subtle, but if you pay close attention you can hear them).

I think Amon Amarth are definitely more Melodic Death Metal that happen to have viking themed lyrics. I did include Beatdown in the part 2 of every metal subgenre tho.

I'm not sure why I've seen so many people online group Swashbuckle in with those other groups, Swashbuckle is just a thrash band. They're pirate themed but they aren't remotely folk metal.
