Got my unit (CST150XLU) from Costco over 4 - years ago, and it stopped working. Thanks for having Costco in your title made it easy to find this video. I ordered Mighty Max Battery, ML9-12 - 12 Volt 9 AH SLA Battery - Pack of 2 from Amazon cost $44 with free shipping. Batteries arrived next day and I was able to do the replacement in less than 10 minutes, thanks to your excellent video. The hardest part was getting all 8-plugs back in were they were, with all the dust over the past 4 years I never moved this unit...again many thanks.
@@LoveMyRottweiler1 wow that's quite expensive batteries you bought, I bought them from a website and I had to wait for a couple of days but it was worth it saving half a price
@@IvanRossS I live in area of Southern California where the power goes out a lot, well worth the extra few dollars to get my system protected, plus the Might Max batteries had great reviews with over 10,000 4.5 stars.
Thanks a bunch for making this video ! Note to any cyberpower viewers in the future. I use a 1350 cyberpower AVR and the battery setup is identical. Kept getting error E02. Most places were saying it means a bad charging circuit. A couple said it means bad battery. I was on the edge to spring for a new UPS but decided to see if new batteries would bring it back to life. Pulled both batteries from UPS. One read 13.11v and the other read 8.21v. Tossed the bad one. Labeled the old good one with the original buy date from 3 years ago. Labeled the brand new one with today's date and kept the 2nd new battery as a backup for the future. I decided to go with 9Ah batteries for a little bit more running time. These are the 2 batteries I purchased. ExpertPower 12v 9ah Sealed Lead Acid Battery with F2 Terminals (.250")/2 Pack All in I got my UPS back in business for $22 rather than blowing $190 to replace my old UPS from 2020.
!Excellent Information from you! I have EXACTLY the same Cyberpower Unit of this Video (Exactly the same) Would your ExpertPower 12v 9ah Sealed Lead Acid Battery with F2 Terminals will fit this model? (and of course have a bit more running time)
Great video, I am looking at purchasing this unit from Costco as it seems to be much cheaper than other offerings of similar capacity. This video is the only one I could find of the exact costco CST150UC model. Good to know it works well, lasts quite a few years and the batteries are user replaceable to not create extra waste buying a whole new unit.
this model that is sold by Costco has a side panel!! The other TH-cam videos were showing them as opening from the front! This had me stuck for a while.
Got my unit (CST150XLU) from Costco over 4 - years ago, and it stopped working. Read my full comment above...super easy to replace and yes it opens from the side, just like his video shows.
yeah, it was a bit confusing as some of the TH-cam videos were showing as removing the Front panel and this one (From Costco) has the correct right-side panel
Comes with 3 year warranty so you would assume 3 years. No way just couldn't be that simple why the hell not fully charged it fully drain it everyday that's what a warranty is for. Sealed lead acid give between 2 to 300 cycles so if you drained them every day about a year, I would recommend buying them from like Walmart after one year take it back for a replacement or refund, a little bit of sabotage always helps with a refund 😁 Eazy to do on electrical.
I tried running a small coffee maker it shut off and when i attached a small fan it shut off too.. guess i need new batterys shows baterrys are good but when surge goes on it dies in madder of seconds.
Yup, me too. I tested it with an electric heater on low. The UPS said it was good for 5 minutes on battery, but when I unplugged it from the wall, it immediately died. So I ordered new batteries.
@@IvanRossS that's great. Thanks to your video I didn't break the front cause I saw about 5 and in all of them you had to take the front in order to take the batteries out. So I was struggling whit the front plate 😅
When my unit was new it powered a 21 inch tv for seven hours and could still go longer. The tv was attached to an antenna. But when connected to a 40 inch TV and a cable box with a hard drive and my security camera box (with hard drive) the power supply lasted about 40 minutes.
It just small terminals, you just pulled them out and that's it. On the terminal itself there is a little metal tab. maybe that's what's stopping from pulling out terminal. If it band to much it will be locked ! And will be grabbing on battery terminal. Use thin flat screwdriver to band this little tab
wait....the replacement battery should have the same specs as the original - the control circuitry in the unit may be sensitive to the .5 amp difference!
No, Its not. Work perfectly ! I ran all kind of tastes. Drain test too. U can plug it in you PC over USB and download Cyberpower battery manager. There are all kind of futures u can enable and disable, change protocols. Connect wirelessly
I was just thinking about buying 2 massive 12v batteries and let them outside the device to have more hours. I only get like 15 min with a 42inch TV connected to it.
That's why the mute button on your keyboard was invented. If you do not like anything just mute it momentarily. Reminds me of the retards that call tv stations and complain about the show. If you don't like it change the channel.

Exactly what I was looking for
great. quick easy to change battery. what CyberPower model is?
Thank you, I need to do the exact same thing, this helped me a lot.
Glad to help
are you saying that with a dead battery, the LCD screen still says that the battery capacity is full?
Yes. Still full capacity. Just replace battery
Thank you! You just saved me a bundle! Cheers!
Thanks for a very well done video.
How long did the unit last before you replaced the batteries?

I thought I mention this in the video, I had this device for about five years

what UPS model do you have?

I had exactly the same thing it was telling me that my battery are good 100% just go ahead and replace battery it's only like 20 bucks
Yup, me too. I tested it with an electric heater on low. The UPS said it was good for 5 minutes on battery, but when I unplugged it from the wall, it immediately died. So I ordered new batteries.
Can this be use as a power source to power car amplifiers?
No of course not lol. Only battery it self can be used. Just get you a full size 12v battery for that
Thanks! Great vid
Was the ups also powering your TV?
Oh yes!!! Xbox and PS too !! More I have connected less time I have to use it
For how long it will handle your tv and consoles?
Well about 20 min but I had audio reciver connected too

@@MrMorganf15 Same issue here as some have only one screw and then the front comes off instead.

Thanks, helpfull and worked for me.
$32 its not bad.... but I wonder how much cost the original CyberPower batteries. Any idea?
$75 - $100+
How the heck you remove the cables with ease!? Looks like your video is prepared...smh

Grab end of wire with needle nose pliers and then tap them and they pop right off.
22 mins? yikes. Mine says 1000 mins
Because you do not have no load on it LOL..

Won't matter. the AMPS is all about compacity. Long as the voltage are the same as the original you're good to go.

do we need the fucking intro dude?
Of course we need !! your fucking welcome.. and how about you make your own video, yourself without intro :)
