Fun fact: when I was learning English at school one day I felt like I could change my voice in English any way I wanted but couldn't do anything with the way I speak my native language. Now years later my English voice has come to the same state as native and I can't change it anymore. So yes it is all about the habits.

My voice was VERY high-pitched before I was 10 and now it’s lower pitched but it still keeps some of my old voice which doesn’t work out to well when I’m going for higher notes I don’t have a problem with singing them, I just have a problem with making them sound smoother and not like I’m straining my voice. But then with the super high notes it isn’t a problem anymore because I switch into another way of singing taught to me by the teachers of the Choir I’m in.
I've only watched a few of your videos so far but I love them. You're very positive and it really does bring a smile. :)

The issue with my voice is that it has a ring to it, and it’s because my voice isn’t natural. It’s forced. Growing up I had a soft, quiet voice and I was always told to speak up so I’ve forced my voice to be loud which not only has damaged my throat because I have to clear it so often, but it’s also not healthy to constantly yell. My doctor told me I need to get my old voice back but it’s so hard to get back what for so many years you were told to get rid of. Yk what I mean?

My voice sounds small/high pitched and even shaky sometimes even if I'm not even nervous. Definitely slams down my authority :( + I sometimes find myself catching my breath while speaking, like I'm running

I have extremely deep and loud voice. When whispering people who are over 3m from me, hear me talking. I can literally speak in Congress room without microphone, and everyone hear me just perfect. Often when I let more of my voice out, people get scared and drop things out of their hands. It's starting to be very stressful for me with my strong deep voice. When ever I speak everyone stops what ever they are doing, and look at me, it's annoying, I feel like I'm bothering everyone around. My work colleagues get used to my voice, but i always need to have in mind to control my voice. I want it to be more feminine and softer, higher... Is it possible.

I have problems with my tone of voice and authenticity behind my voice simultaneously as i speak. Also on top of that I have poor pronunciation of words that makes me feel insecure when I hear my voice. Ive downloaded some tongue twisters to help me concentrate on speaking clearer. Videos and articles like these always seem to be for normal people. I have had 22 surgeries near my vocal cords for a medical problem I had as a child. It is in remission now and I havent had one for a long time but I'm wondering if with the scar tissue is changing my voice even possible. My voice is raspy and empty sounding and people are always asking me if I am sick or losing my voice and I just say allergies to avoid the conversation but it would be so amazing if I could do something about it because it really affects my daily life and how I feel about myself.
You’re right I’m not medically trained and focus on improving a body which is without damage or physical trauma. A speech pathologist might be the best option for working with you on improving your current sound and delivery to something more in line with your goals. Sorry I can’t be more useful on this. I’m continually learning but at this time cannot offer advice.

I hated my voice when I was 14 or 15. It was deep and I sounded like a boy. I started speaking more high-pitched on purpose. I did this constantly. Now, I am almost 22 and my voice is higher. It’s my permanent voice now. If I try to make my voice sound deeper, it still does not sound as deep as it did in my teens, so I did a great job permanently changing my voice

I sound like a clingy dying chicken 😭😭😭 Everyone who hears my voice for the 1st time teases me and eventually laughs at me 😭 I've been trying to change my voice all these years, but it's really hard. the problem with my voice is that i talk in a higher pitch than how i used to naturally talk. after a couple years it became my natural voice, but it still affects me in the same way it did before. i have to clear my throat constantly and i cant talk very loud, but it's my natural voice now

@@silentangell The nice thing about making your voice higher is that anyone can do it. Vocal cords can be stretched with practice. I'm naturally a baritone, but most of the songs I wanted to sing with my band and most of the choral parts I enjoyed were in the tenor range. I simply practiced my upper register every day and sang along to higher vocal parts. Don't be afraid to sing OUT on those high notes. As my upper range increased, my speaking voice did seem to naturally rest on a higher pitch as well.
Now as an audiobook narrator I'm trying to make my natural voice lower and more relaxing again, but my range is still quite impressive in both directions.

It's funny, when i was a teen i wanted my voice sound deeper, i even forced it to sound like that (I probably looked stupid af), then as the time went on, i don't know if i got used to it, or my voice really did became deeper, but now when i'm not tryin it sounds pretty deep, i have had people tell me my face doesnt match my voice at all, but because of this, i often tend to make it sound less deep to appear more friendly towards people, or so i think, i honestly don't know what my real voice is, since im not sure i tried so hard i fooled myself, or it just is like that.
Whenever i wake up i sound like a 30 year old drug addict tho, so i'm not sure.

I don't understand my voice at all. A lot of the time it's kinda forced out, through a tight chest, and doesn't feel good to talk. Then occasionally it's really deep and resonant, and is really pleasant and relaxing to me. I wish it was like that all the time, but it just seems so unpredictable.

I unknowingly changed my voice to a lower pitch because when i had a deep voice people couldnt really hear me or understand me but as i grew older i softened my voice to speak more clearly but the problem with that is i dont like the voice i changed it to, i really just want the deep voice back

When I talk my voice is amazing(not really but workable) but when I get aggressive it gets pitchy and it's too smooth, so gets weird in recording my songs, so it takes more takes
I'm here cuz my voice changes constantly and usually outside or when at school or at cities when I start to talk to people my voice softens and it's very low so I think I was forcing my voice or smt and it only happens with other people not my family - but at home I'm with my family I'm very loud and very silly 😂😂😅😅so that's why I want to change my voice permanently

I have a habit of speaking in a very veryy loud voice, very fast speaker and stuttering very frequently.

Actually when I speak, people says that I sound like husky. However to my ears it is always bold. Also with my mom and kids I sound like normal voice(bold) . But my tone changes automatically around strangers and elders. What should I do to change my voice bold even around strangers and elders?
I have a question. I noticed my laugh has changed since the start of puberty. I feel like I can’t laugh the same long, contagious laughter I used to have. I am Brazilian living in the UK and I wonder why my voice is deeper when I speak English (my accent is mostly americanized because that's the one you're taught in South America) compared to Portuguese.
My voice sounds deeper when I speak Finnish. It’s likely because of the different use of air placement in each accent! I imagine if you notice a drop then you might be someone who is good at picking up unconsciously details from the speech! 🤘

I just discovered your channel and I'm trying to make my voice less nasal when I record it on audio/video so I'm going to try your methods and tips.
If it sounds that way recorded you can also adjust your position to the mic to pick up less nasal lift and more chest/mouth frequencies

Which areas are more/less prone to picking up the nasal kinda sound and more likely to pick up more of a chest frequencies? It doesn't sound like I'm talking through my nose but it sounds as though my nose is stuffy lol.

When I sing, I sound so good in my head but when I hear it on recording, not even exaggerating, it's horrendous.
I feel the same. Try not to judge yourself too much and keep recording your practice. Make adjustments where necessary and repeat so it will all come together.
