Punch above your weight with the duel wielding life hack! Not only limited to carrying a knife (obviously) this can be really useful to pawns using single use weapons like the doomsday rocket launcher, orbital power beam targeter etc. For local engagements (fights on your colony map) you can really arm your pawns to the teeth and give them many, many options to with which to murder things! :)
Such a sick trick. So useful in so many ways, like others have already said. I've definitely used for my traveling caravans. Having my guys be able to range and then melee out on the road when you get ambushed is great. Using it to force carry medicine to squeeze out those extra seconds. Normally you have to wait til your colonist gets in bed or in a sleeping spot before you can queue up tending. Also subbed because of this. I also enjoy your other videos as well. Point of constructive criticism though... you sorta drag on or feel like you are just saying things to say stuff. I would recommend trying to either edit just the clips you need together of your gameplay, instead of doing everything live. Or have some sort of script you read from or notes or something. Your accent keeps me interested though:) Thanks again for your helpful videos. Keep up the good work.
Actually yes thanks! 😊 I should totally have edited this down. Next time! I do a lot more heavy editing with my guides, but these I try to keep simpler, however some basic editing here is actually a legit idea! 💡
@@sprintonwater it's a shame you quit. Channels take years to build. You have what it takes to be a great content creator. You would likely get some traction if you keep at it.
This is an interesting way of doing things but Idk if I’d use it for that exact situation, I use the side arms mod but say if I didn’t, it just seems like this would get in the way and lose me those precious seconds right before getting clobbered by another pawn. Ways I do think this would be helpful tho is to get one of your pawns to keep herbal meds on them or like you said the one use weapons or something very specific would be carrying a steal helmet. One of my pawns is a really good speaker so I usually have them wear the bowler hat and just the other day she got her head peeled the fuck back so a steal helmet would have been nice to equip real quick before a gun fight :(
Yup good points! 😊 Can definitely be used for more than just carrying weapons, there's quite a few things that could be useful to have in a pawns inventory depending on the situation.
Like Axøи sayed there is a mod fore that "facepalm" but you chould just make the colonists pick up the item, they dont drop it if you made them pick it up
Dragonbutter nah. The side arm mod is waaay better for doing this. They just auto equip the best weapon like say if you’re holding a high dmg melee weapon and an assault rifle, if you get rushed they’ll switch.
I don't understand why anyone would be so keen on vanilla. The mods make every game better. Where would Skyrim be without ak47's? 🤷. The mod community MAKES this game so amazing. Even if you have a stolen copy of the game you can still get mods from the developer website and install them manually. No need for steam.

I thought this was going to be a cool bug or something but this is easily achieved by a single shelf next to your shooting positions.

you can only do that outside your base on a map when raiding or getting ambushed etc. At your base you have to form a caravan
