Deepstrike with Orks Combat Patrol is pretty much the only way I was able to win any game. Tellyporta and the Deffkopta deepstrike is really valuable to get ganks going against range armies

I suggest starting Combat Patrol first, the same game they are playing you could play as well. You can buy the combat patrol box of the faction of your choosing. So look through the boxes, see whats available, then go through the rules for them. Save up alot of cash, and once you get use to the basic rules through Combat Patrol, buildup for 3k points to have different things for different lists.
I remember you played Star Trek attack wing a while ago, you should check out the cooperative version of attack wing. The third and final Dominion war campaign box just came out, it’s called Star Trek alliance part 1-3

Totally agree that the black templars combat patrol is underpowered against a lot of matchups. I've lost all the games of combat patrol with them. It's like playing worse ultra marines especially since you're stuck using oath of moment instead of vows.The loadouts for the crusader squad feels off.
The black Templar combat patrol is all wrong. Sword brothers and crusaders squads without an impulsor would be better, should have given them a Dreadnaught
Unfortunately you cannot call the WAAAAGGGH when you did, it is at the start of the battle round, as Black Templars went first you missed the opportunity.
The black Templar patrol is easily the worst. Their centerpiece model is a humble transport that likes to miss with it’s one melta. while everyone else gets war walkers. Not fair man.

The Orks Combat Patrol (530 points) is NOT balanced with the Black Templars CP (445 points). The Orks get a second 10 squad of Boyz for FREE. Also, BT’s leader Marshal Siguard isn’t even as good as a generic Marshal because he doesn’t get the abilities Rites of Battle and Finest Hour; whereas Orks Warboss Gordrang retains his Dead ‘Ard ability. The problem is that many of the Combat Patrols were originally built as DISCOUNT boxes - to give players a good variety of units at a good price point - not to be competitive Combat Patrol armies. I agree that the Black Templars Combat Patrol is one of the weakest, primarily because it has 5 Intercessors whereas BTs are a melee army - they should be Assault Intercessors. Also, even though BT’s Impulsor equips a Multi-Melta, it’s nowhere as powerful as the Redemptor Dreadnought from the Dark Angels CP; and in this battle, the Orks’ Deff Dredd is far more kill-y than the Impulsor. Another problem is that only the 5 Intercessors can fit inside the Impulsor, and transports must start the battle loaded or they’re lost; and it doesn’t make sense to transport shooting units CLOSER to the Orks mighty melee units. All you can do is deploy the Intercessors at the start of Turn 1 and move the Impulsor into Multi-Melta range. As a Black Templars player myself, if I was to re-design the BT CP box, I’d swap out the 5 Intercessors for 5 Sword Brethren, and the Impulsor for a Gladiator Lancer tank or Ballistus Dreadnought. That would raise the points to 560/570, which is more balanced with the Orks CP. Even if the Impulsor was retained (reducing points to 515), at least it would make sense to transport 5 Sword Brethren into close combat. I have lots of experience with Black Templars fighting Orks because one of my WH40K friends plays Orks, and I have a good track record in 2000 pts battles with units of my choosing. Having one or two Redemptors and a unit of Eradicators to soften up the Orks before they close to melee range makes a big difference in battles. More recently I’ve been using a Brutalis Dreadnought (from the Agastus box) instead of a second Redemptor; the melee dread is more thematic for Black Templars. Whenever the Brutalis solo box is released, I plan to buy a second one for my BT army.
@@classyyachtmaker3138 Unclear if you’re referring to old school Crusader Squads or the Primaris Crusader Squad in the Black Templars Combat Patrol. For the latter, both Initiates and Neophytes can take all Chainswords and Heavy Bolt Pistols for a total melee squad. But since wargear is free, 2 Initiates per 10 model squad should always take Power Fists (or Pyreblasters). The problem was that the Crusaders were melee attacked first by both the Boyz and a Deff Dread. If they had charged and attacked first, they would’ve killed at least as many Boyz. That’s the problem with Combat Patrols: There aren’t enough units that you can recover from losing a unit early. I would’ve played Black Templars more conservatively, utilizing their superior shooting to thin out the Orkz and used the Impulsor to try to pin them down, hopefully buying another round before the inevitable Waaagh charge. Unfortunately, the 85 points disparity - giving the Orks 10 extra Boyz - is probably insurmountable in a Combat Patrol game. Only perfect shooting from the Black Templars and failed Charges by the Orks would allow Black Templars to win.

I'm not gonna be buying any armies anytime soon but these can be interesting to learn about 40k universe. However one thing is Jay cam be hard to watch, especially on the full playthroughs. He's very whiney and pouty when he's losing and can rly turn off the feel of the match. The 1cm ruling he was adamant on on a previous match comes to mind. Hoping some new ppl in the crew get into this more.

How did you get the gfuel flavor that you wanted. I ordered your gfuel and had it for a while, but then my parents investigated and stole it from me, and threw it out, because they thought it was too much caffiene and that I was drinking too much of it, I hated that.
"Orcs arent a bout shooting" tell me you have never played orcs before huh? Real orcs want ALL THE DAKKA! You just had bad ranged units the boys arent well rounded, they are strong chaff thats all. Try a group of Lootas with a Big Mek with a Kustom force field for 4+ saves on them all, then the command tactic to force your enemies to shoot at grot meathshields. Lots of Shooty fun I promise!
I agree. His boardgame fetish and movie hot takes are relatively amateur compared to his work in Angry Reviews and rants. Almost every time he releases a video, I half the time expect it to be about stupid board game shit.
And even now, his Angry Reviews are hit and miss. The format where he's discussing a video game with OJ and Alex, or whoever, is not nearly as entertaining as a true Angry Review.

"Orcs arent a bout shooting" tell me you have never played orcs before huh? Real orcs want ALL THE DAKKA! You just had bad ranged units the boys arent well rounded, they are strong chaff thats all. Try a group of Lootas with a Big Mek with a Kustom force field for 4+ saves on them all, then the command tactic to force your enemies to shoot at grot meathshields. Lots of Shooty fun I promise!

I agree. His boardgame fetish and movie hot takes are relatively amateur compared to his work in Angry Reviews and rants. Almost every time he releases a video, I half the time expect it to be about stupid board game shit.
And even now, his Angry Reviews are hit and miss. The format where he's discussing a video game with OJ and Alex, or whoever, is not nearly as entertaining as a true Angry Review.
@@chrisgreen2884 it clogs up my subscription feed, he uploads these types of videos too often (table top games and movie/tv). when he first started doing these people complained but he didn't care. if he creates a second channel he will find out how few the people interested will be. Ideally he should create a channel for table top games and another one for movie/tv.
