CHALLENGE - how do you handle sleep deprivation for a week?
Not really a "challenge" for an insomniac like me. 3 hours per day for a week ? You're lucky 😉

Easy, I put on autopilot. I rarely get that much sleep when I have the morning shift.
ask me how am i managing it for about 3 months .... just concentrate on one particular thing you are doing so intensely that it will engage you .. thing my senior told me at the paratrooper training centre .

My norm is about 4-5 hours but sometimes it’s less than two. I feel your pain.
I had bad insomnia for a few nights. I was waking up only 4 hours into sleep. Then i found out my decongestant has that side effect.

Try doing this for 3 weeks during the end of a school semester. The walls talk to you and working 30+ hours a week is next to killer
currently going through this, I just put in my two weeks for my 40hr a week job while taking 5 senior level college courses full-time. I've noticed terrible health decline.

Actually, it could be uni, but you’d have to be a serious procrastinator and time optimist to have to miss out on proper sleep.
@@JonSnowIII when you try to juggle school, then go straight to work after classes, just to realise after work that its bedtime but you still have papers due the next day.
Not every person in school is still living at home with mommy and daddy cooking and paying all the Bill's.
You cant just blame it on procrastination.
Leon Austin You can, most of the people who cannot sleep more than 6 hours usually waste too much time.
You cant possibly think you have a paper everyday right? You can easily reserve a couple of hours, or even an hour for making a part of a paper to the deadline. Planning is key, procrastination is the enemy with many of uni students.
Also most people just waste time at their free days, saturday and sunday.
You have the entire day, i could make several papers.

I sleep 3h a day and i will say and i am fine fysically just my blood presure went from 145/105 to 100/65

I remember once I got 2 hours of sleep one day and stayed up until one am the next. I wasn’t angry, just a strange version of being high without any substances

The first 3 months after having my son I slept very little and experienced a lot of what this guy is experiencing.
I've beaten this challenge so many times, im almost always sleep deprived and the few times I actually sleep 8 hours I feel so exhausted the next day and my whole body aches. I guess that's my body finally resting and trying to heal from all the stress I put it while being sleep deprived

I slept far more in college than I did in High School
(Or every now and then when you procrastinate on a stupid school project and get 2 hours of sleep because you had to cram it the night before the due date. Then, of course, the due date is the day of some test and you zone out when you take it so you almost fail. That’s happened way too many times.)

I get 3 to 5 hours a day, ever since my son was born. I feel the huge difference in my health. Before he was born, I use to sleep at least 10 hours a day. Now that gyms are closed due to covid, I am really feeling my health deteriorate. My memory use to be sharp. I am still better than average but I notice the difference.

Just like a regular week for touring sound/lighting engineers , except you dont get that 3 hours regularly, sometimes you're lucky if you get any
