I saw 2 young homeless teenagers and offered my pizza, they gave me condescending looks and said no, I don't know if it's cuz they preferred money or because I'm black so I kept going. Then I passed an older homeless man and offered him some, he took a slice I asked if he'd like a second he said he didn't want to eat up my food, I told him even if he did I'm going home and there's enough food and I just want him to have some too, so he took a second slice and was beyond grateful. My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

Wawa was the best place since at night if u need a bathroom it's a shorter walk than Walmart. And couldn't agree more on the gym membership. This was back when 24 hour fitness was still around and it'd be 2 in the morning and I'd be hanging in the pool there.

I’m a college student and work full time to pay tuition. During one of the summers all my friends left town and I was left to live in my car for a month. It took about a week before I started to feel a bit of the mental toll really start to hurt. I found myself also getting stares, and being looked down upon by people. Staying clean and healthy was even harder without a space to prepare a meal properly. It really taught me a lot and made me look at the homeless and people in need in a whole new light. They’re people too. They need friends and love and all the things the rest of us need. I urge anybody that sees somebody homeless or hungry to take a minute and get some sandwiches, and have a conversation. It really brings life back into those with no hope left.

I was homeless from the time I was 16 until I was 22. I was living out of an abandoned trailer from an 18 wheeler. In that time I saved any money I could then when I was 22 I bought a car and started living out of that. I didn’t consider that being homeless tho as it was shelter that I owned and even tho it was a 1991 CRX (literally one of if not the smallest cars you can find) and I’m over 6 feet tall, I tore out all the plastics from the back and had a futon mattress that I could roll up and unroll so when it came time to sleep I could just put the seats all the way forward and unroll my mattress and it was actually really comfortable. I bathed every evening in the river that ran thru my town so that was never an issue. I met my wife during that time and we both saved up money and wound up getting a place together. Now 10 years plus later I’m almost 40 and we have 3 kids ages from 9 to almost 2 and are on the verge of being homeless once again to no fault of our own. Funny how thing go full circle.

I’m 24 and my girlfriend is 23 last year we had some rather unfortunate events that led us to living in our car for about 6 months, life was hard, everything from eating to going to the bathroom or even showering was an every day challenge and you could never do it on your own time only on the opportunities presented to you . Every night was always a lingering thought of whether someone was outside your car or if you would be woken up in the early hours of the morning by police trying to harass and ticket you . The whole city of San Diego hates the homeless by the way . The warmth we had was that of eachother to keep us going . So many hopeless sleepless nights . When you lived like we did people look at you as less of a person but it was the most humbling experience of my life and for any of you reading this going through it too. There’s always hope so long as you fight for a brighter tomorrow . I promise .

My mother had kicked me out and my at the time Gf's family wouldn't let me stay with them so being an college student I talked to college security and they let me stay parked there overnight and even drove by and checked in on me. I took showers there and I was able to go to work and not be an mess bc of it but I did this for about 3 weeks.
Doing my laundry at an laundry mat, washing in the near by river and at the college. I lost a lot of weight about 15 to 20 lbs over the time all I ate was the shift meal I got at the restaurant and a coffee. As a man who once slept on the streets of Philadelphia for 3 years. I admire your compassion and understanding for the less fortunate. You got a lifetime subscriber because of it. Thank you sir. And keep fighting the good fight

Thank you Challenge Guy and Infographics for bringing this into the light and helping these men. I had tears in my eyes by the tile the end of the end of the episode came around. If I wasn’t a huge supporter of your show before, I’m even more so now. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your hard work and your compassion.

Problem with this kind of challenge, and the one living on the street for 3 days, is you have the end of the challenge to look forward to. As soon as it's over with, you go home to your house/apt, take a nice hot shower, and sleep in a nice comfy bed.... It's so much harder knowing you are going to be in that situation indefinitely... Thank you tho for the attempt to make it seem realistic.

You do it 3 days at a time. It's not that much different.
Do you sit around worrying about all the health problems you might have when you're 80-90 years old as well?

I think it's really awesome that you went back and tried to be a blessing to those men.

You are such a nice guy. The world needs more people like you in it. It’s not everyday someone gives a full paycheck to some homeless people who work for less the minimum wage. And the fact that you also got them in contact with a better job deal so nice of you considering you only knew them for like a week

I feel you buddy on the kidney stones. It's worse then back labour. I've been told this by women who had that.

I lived in my car for a year. The amount of planning it takes just to stay warm, wash your body, and to get something to eat is amazing. It will definitely teach you who you truly are deep inside.
