For an other video : Comeback - Wayv (choreography is harder!) and MY GOD watch all of Hit The Stage (choreography by Ten) : is just INCREDIBLE!! (sorry for my English)
As an SM fan since 2009, I can say confidently that the one doing the high note is YYJ (an SM composer) . He has done a lot of backing vocals for SM artists.
WayV is the Chinese sub-unit of NCT, so pretty much all of their songs are in Mandarin with a few English lyrics and words mixed in. (With exception, when it's an English version, such as "Love Talk.") But their songs are primarily in Mandarin. I also find it interesting, if you watch "Take Off" with an eye for looking for connections and theories, an argument could be made that the storyline in "Take Off" may have been designed to connect Wayv, and more specifically Ten and Lucas, to "SuperM's storyline. "Take Off" came out even before we knew that SM was even considering creating SuperM. But with all that I know about how SM spends years working on creating stories and connecting storylines between MVs and between its groups, it wouldn't surprise me if SM may have been planning ways to draw connections between WayV and SuperM even way back when the concept for "Take Off" was created. If you notice there are several "super hero- like" elements in the "Take Off" MV that are similar to SuperM's and EXO's storyline and they could potentially be connected. (I'm not sure that they really are connected, I just thought I would throw that thought out there as something to think about. :D) "Take Off" is also another part of NCT's dream concept, so what you are seeing in the MV could also be interpreted as different things to do with dreams and dreaming. Real things like the dream of wealth, the dream of fame, the dream of the perfect body (LOL), as well as things that only happen when you are literally dreaming, such as the wings and Ten's glowing eyes, etc. And you probably know this already, but, Ten and Lucas are also members of NCT-U and SuperM; Winwin is also a member of NCT-U and NCT-127, and Kun -- the leader of WayV -- originally debuted as part of NCT-2018; and Yanyang, Xiaojun and Hendrey only just debuted as members of WayV at the beginning of 2019 As part of NCT's Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, not only do the members speak, Mandarin, Korean and English, but Ten is from Thailand so he speaks Thai, Lucas is from Hong Kong so he speaks Cantonese and a little Thai because his mom is Thai; and Yangyang grew up in Germany so he speaks German. WayV is a very international group that speaks many languages, but they all have Chinese heritage which is why SM chose them to be a part of this group. (NCT, as a whole, represents 9 countries and 8 languages so far.) As I mentioned, WayV is a sub-unit of NCT. NCT currently has 21 members and that includes all the WayV members. The only reason why WayV doesn't have NCT in their name like the other NCT sub-units is because with the political issues between Korea and China right now Korean companies can not work in China. NCT's Chinese sub-unit has been going to debut for years, but with all the political issues it took SM a long time to find a way to work around all the rules the Chinese government put in place to prevent its native Chinese citizens from working with anyone associated with Korea and preventing anyone who was working with a Korean company from working in China. So in order to circumvent some of China's restrictions, SM found/created a Chinese company that was willing to take on NCT's Chinese sub-unit but also allow SM to have a say in the group's concept and promotion activities. Part of how they get around the rules is they gave the group a name that distances them from their Korean roots. The company WayV is under is called Label V which is part of SM, but separate from the Korean branch of the company and it produces songs in Mandarin to keep the Chinese government happy. All the members of WayV also speak Mandarin and have some connection to Chinese heritage, but I am pretty sure none of the members are native mainland Chinese citizens, so this gives them some immunity from the Chinese government. But they are Chinese and they are promoting Chinese culture, so the Chinese government kind of turns a blind eye to the fact that they are technically still under a Koran company, as long as they hide any connection to their Korean company while doing promotions in China. Because of all the political issues between the Korean and Chinese governments, Kpop idols such as WayV, Lay from EXO, Zhoumi from Super Junior-M and Victoria, the leader of F(x), etc. are all separated from their Korean groups because of the restrictions China has put on everything they do. Now I am no where near an expert on the topic, and I admit that I only understand a very minor part of what is going on between the Chinese and Korean government, but as I understand it, part of the reason for the ban on Chinese and Korean workers between the two countries is that China is refusing to align itself with the U.S. or South Korea to protect themselves with deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea. North Korea and China want to get rid of the rocket system that is meant to shoot down a nuclear missile if North Korea were to launch one at South Korea or the U.S. Another reason why China doesn't like the THAAD system is because China and the U.S. don't have the best relationship, so if the U.S. and China become on even worse terms China is afraid the U.S. could also use THAAD against them. China says the THAAD system is just provoking them to actually start a nuclear war, and until they remove it or at least move it back from the South Korean boarder, they will continue their ban on Korean products, workers and the Hallyu wave from working in China and for its native Chinese citizens from working with Korean companies. China feels like the Korean government is taking away its native commodities by allowing Chinese people to work in Korea. The issue is even more complicated than this, but that is one part of it. However, this doesn't always explain why some Chinese idols have been able to get around China's rules and have been able to continue working with their Kpop groups without any backlash But all I can guess is these idols don't have any connection to mainland China. If they are from somewhere else in China such as Hong Kong or a Chinese adjacent country such as Taiwan, etc. or if they are citizens of other counties such as Thailand or Germany, the rule doesn't apply to them. All i can guess is these idols have some sort of loophole, such as they don't have any family living in mainland China, which allows them to avoid the regulations. When China first began cracking down on their citizens working in Korea there were rumors that the Chinese government was threatening to revoke the citizenship of any mainland native Chinese person who continued to do business with a Korean company and lived outside of China. This rule would have prevented Idols, such as EXO's Lay, from visiting family and doing business in China, etc. The only way for them to avoid this from happening was for them to come back to China right away and stop doing business with their Korean companies. I don't know if this was really true or if it was just a rumor, but that is what I heard. Which would explain why some Chinese Idols don't feel any pressure to stop working in Korea because they have nothing to lose if they don't have a life in China. Other WayV MVs i would recommend are: "Moonwalk" and "Regular," If you haven't seen "Moonwalk" yet, you really need to. (I think you might have seen this one, but I am not sure.) I am pretty sure that the story in their "Moonwalk" MV connects to SuperM's "Jopping" MV storyline and in turn it also connects to EXO's larger storyline. And if you haven't seen NCT-127's version of "Regular" yet you should check out all 3 versions of that song -- The English and Korean versions are NCT-127's songs and the Mandarin version is WayV's debut song. I think you would find it interesting that although the title and beat of all 3 versions of "Regular" are the same, if you look up the lyrics for each of the songs, you will discover that the English version, the Korean version and the Mandarin version are about different things.
Wow buddy this was a whole essay, awesome work! Just a clarification: Winwin, Xiajun and Kun are mainland Chinese citizens (Wenzhou, Dongguan and Taining respectively). Lucas is from Hong Kong, Yang Yang from Taiwan, Hendery from Macao and of course Ten is from Thailand :) That is why WayV is officially under a Chinese company, it doesn't have the name NCT, the fandom is called differently (although similar), same thing with the lightstick and it is never called an NCT subunit in any official broadcast. At the same time, all WayV MVs are uploaded on SM's official TH-cam channel, so why is that not an issue is a mystery to me.
@@irmaluisacera6780 Thanks for the extra info. Yeah a lot of it doesn't make sense. I guess you have to be an insider in the business to really understand the ins and outs. But I am guessing it is pretty complicated, because it took WayV such a long to debut. If you remember, in their debut showcase we saw WinWin showcasing his dream story as a Chinese member, setting up the fact that SM was planning a Chinese sub-unit from even before NCT debuted, and it took them 3 years to figure out a way to actually coordinate a plan to allow them to officially debut.
Wow this is quite interesting! Cause I was wondering why WayV doesn’t have a NCT name in it. The business aspect is quite intriguing 👍🏽 thank you for writing this out btw!!

Thanks for your insight and extra info about this dance choreography! I'd have never been able to know that the first half of it has mostly pretty standard moves, but then it gets difficult later on.
The business aspect is quite intriguing 👍🏽 thank you for writing this out btw!!
wow this is so long
lmao don't be embarrassed, i made the exact same face as you when ten lifted his shirt during the dance practice lmao
Lol just so unexpected
‘you guys were probably all wrecked after this dance practice’
yes. multiple times
not gonna lie everyone’s a visual in this group 🥺
Dude to be honest the main thing that's keeping me watching the Take Off Dance Prac up to this day is Hendery's smile. Godsent.
Jeff I don't know if you'll read this, but I love your reaction a lot. I don't know how many times I've been here and the other WayV videos. I love Ten as well, and Lucas of course, amd Winwin. Love you as well. Keep being awesome ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
¡I NEED MORE REACTION WAYV BABY!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
oh the highnote at 1:51 wasnt a member !!! even tho several members do have the capability of sustaining that note its actually from one of the people that worked on the song. thats like his signature is to have his vocals on the song. you can also catch it on some of 127s songs!
wayv has the most powerful dance line, rap line, vocal line, and visuals :>> and tbh they are the funniest one i love all their personalities i hope that sm will promote them better
Honestly.......

the high note at 1:41 was ten!
Your ten reaction is so relatable SKSKSKSKA I LAUGHED SO HARD BEC SAME
Out of all NcT units, WayV for me the most gelled groups in terms of chemistry on and off the dance floor
This is literally my favorite WayV choreo becaouse I find it soo satisfying to watch...
Loved your reaction
12:06 the way I screamed, your voice is so beautiful!
This like one of the bestest(😂) dance practice of NCT. Even my mom who doesn't like KPop, likes this one. The synchronization, the energy from the beginning up to the end❤. Haha I'm satisfied now eih❤ thank you!
I love the synergy between WayV members when it comes to dance, I think they complement each other perfectly also all of them are really good dancers! My favorites: ten, yangyang and hendery
8:22 is Hendery, he is lead dancer and lead rapper of wayv.
8:36 is Xiaojun , he is main vocal
9:54 is Yangyang, he is main rapper, lead dancer and maknae(youngest)

Please react to Ten's SM station Dream in a Dream dance practice and mv. It's an ART. Pre-debut Lucas was in the mv. Please please?! Thank you.
this was my favorite wayV music video, but then love talk english version came along! 😑 have you seen that?? you need to!!
Not yet! Ahhh I will get to it 😊
Winwin is an incredible traditional Chinese dancer, I feel like you’d really enjoy watching some clips of him
I definitely would! Once I’m caught up with official songs, I’ll be branching out with more individual pieces 😊
Thanks for your insight and extra info about this dance choreography! I'd have never been able to know that the first half of it has mostly pretty standard moves, but then it gets difficult later on. Good quality info, and I'm always after more of that when it comes to NCT! Also, I really enjoy how much you genuinely enjoy watching these and getting to know who's who - get to know the new WayV members too, you won't regret it! (My NCT bias is actually Hendery, his laugh is awesome and he's just really hilarious in general. :D)
I could relate to most of your reactions lol but i didn’t notice the high note part before, you did, now i can’t take that off my mind too lol great reaction video, i nodded a lot of times
"You guys were probably all wrecked after seeing this dance practice"
Honey ive been wrecked ever since i heard wayv was gonna debut, forget that ive been wrecked ever since april 2016 when mark said "and thats a long ass ride"
i don't have any words but thank you for these non-sugar coated reactions🥺🤧❤️
Jeff as always thank you for your insightful commentary, it makes me appreciate the idols that I stan a lot more
i havent seen anyone say it yet but the choreographer for this song is rie hata. shes a japanese choreographer who also made the chorus dance to pirate king but ateez
when you paused with xuxi on the motorbike and you had the biggest grin on your face lol representing us xuxi stans perfectly
your reaction to ten in the dance practice was 100% me! Also, i saw in your list you would react at some point to wayv's Comeback (yess its a great dance!) and i just wanted to warn you it doesnt have an mv, maybe instead you could react to a live performance along with the dance practice? just a suggestion, love your videos!
Oh sure! Thanks for the heads up! 😊
Please react to Wayv Ten Taki Taki
He choreographed it.
THANKYOU FOR REACTING TO WAYV ♡
OMG im binging you're videos, while waiting for dinner!
jermani johnson. Yay! Hope you enjoyed dinner 😊
Wow wow wow...Thank you .I really love your reactions.
I just checked your reaction list and I can’t wait for monsta x and ace, both are great dancers and I hope you will enjoy their choreographies!
OMG...!!! IM SO HAPPY YOU REACT TO THIS....!! 🤧 Btw this song has a MV Performance too.
Please react to WayV - Regular too. Thank youuu.. 🙏🙏
One of the members you keep asking about, whose eyebrows you liked in the Moonwalk MV, is Qian Kun. He's the leader of WayV, and previously appeared in two other NCT songs: the Chinese version of Limitless by NCT 127 and Black on Black by NCT 2018. His voice is amazing and his visuals are *chef's kiss* 👌
"y'all are probably wrecked after seeing this" yes. Yes I am. I am very wrecked
oh my god i didn't even notice the high note in 1:43 until you pointed it out god bless
finally! this is my fave wayv dance practice
I just started watching you yesterday, I have to say your insights on the moves are interesting and your reactions are too cute and relatable :))
OMG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. THANK YOU!
Thank you for reacting to this! O^O
"This is so satisfying!" "I like this choreography!" I told yahhhh!!!!❤ thank you!!!❤❤
The guy floating on his back in the mv is Xiaojun. He’s a main vocalist and my bias in WayV.
guys when i'm telling you that i SCREAMED when i saw this notif
Haha glad you enjoyed 😉
Jeff you definitely is me watching these videos rsrsrs btw I really loved your reactions, I watched all them and waiting for more!
Congrats on 20k🥳😄
Thank u!!
NCT 127 dance sharp and hard, WayV dance smooth and clean, NCT Dream dance between these two. Love this fam so much!
WayV really caught my eye in terms of how sharp and clean they are! You NEED to react to AleXa, her dancing is incredibly clean.
you feed us well with these vids jeff ☺️☺️☺️
Lol Jeff getting so flustered by Ten haha
