This was the era that I became a fan of Eric Clapton. I love the "August" album!
08:31 ... Townshend was correct: After Clapton got sober, his playing went to the next level, peaking between '93 and '05. Unquestionably.
Are you high 92 -96 was his last peak tbh he’s nothing special his playing is easy repetitive no drive etc. he was only playing with aggression and tension 66-71 after that boom basic
Every shallow observer jumps on drugs and alcohol as a negative. Most artists did their best work under the influence.
He looked like a stud here. He's quite possibly the greatest all time guitarist/ vocalist package.
Nice interview😊❤❤❤
Does nobody know who this fkn man is?! HES ONE THE BEST GUITARISTS/MUSICIANS TO EVER LIVE
06:19 ... a bit of irony there, because at the time of this interview, Clapton was still very much abusing alcohol, although he would later admit that "I just got better at hiding it."
if it weren't for drugs and alcohol the music would not be very interesting
@@davidrice3337 That's what you learned from it all? Grow up, dummy.
Brenner looks like the love child of Pete Holmes and Roger Waters circa 1985.
Where is part 1?

For my money, he is IT. Songwriting is exceptional, great leader in live and studio scenarios, rip your face off, or make you cry kinda guitar player, great vocal tone and property. He is a 1 of 1. But i think John Mayer is a great place to pass that torch, as i believe he did
