1988 for me! I got in to Clapton when I was about 7 after hearing a tape of Cream in my Godfather's car and he has been my firm favourite ever since! :-)
00:20 Eric’s former guitar player, George Terry, is widely credited with introducing Clapton to the music of Bob Marley - playing his Burnin’ album, which included “I Shot The Sheriff”, during the recording sessions for 461 Ocean Boulevard. Slowhand was an alcoholic and he acknowledges his memory of those times can be inaccurate.
Never seen that before so thanks for the upload. Rare footage indeed. Similar to the Paula Yates interview.. Eric in .. 'relaxed mode' .. before his trip in Nov '87 which changed his life.
I've seen the I shot The Sheriff clip but didn't realise he spoke as well. This was before Clapton had stopped drinking. Who was the interviewer? She's really pretty!
I cannot remember the presenters name. She was the main presenter on a CH4 music show called "Switch" around 1982-84, this show with clapton, was the last time I ever saw her on TV

I always enjoy Eric's interviews.
Thanks for watching and commenting Evan, so few Clapton fans ever bother to do so.

CompleteCretin What trip in 1987? Where, what happened?
@@theippster8891 I was referring to him going Hazelden treatment centre, after which he no longer consumed alcohol.
Cómo se nota que le encantaban especialmente en esa época las Damas de piel de ébano.

There is a link to the live performance at the end of the interview, so watch until the very end.
