Nice catches Amigo! Everytime I go there, I go to the wrong spots.😂 Maybe we can go fishing together some time. Is that north or south of the flat rock, my friend? Oh and Happy Belated Birthday!
Since you guys go to Torrey Pines often, do you pay the yearly pass for parking, pay for parking, or do you go so early that you always find free parking?
Interesting you did not get any calicos but several sand basses. Perhaps that spot has more sand than rocks? Usually I catch more calicos than sand basses (and usually calicos are bigger).
Is not like that . The razón is the bait . Ghost the calico bass doesn’t like ghost much . For calico them like more anchovies, mackerel, grunions and regular shrimp. But sand bass them bites more on ghost shrimp, sand crabs, and squid . Both of them are bass but them have different diet
@@jlhafishingisnotjustfishing and one more thing, why such a heavy weight? I use 1.5 Oz barrel sinker for carolina rig, you have much higher weight 5 Oz, seem pretty successful with it.
The razon we use size 4 oz 5 oz or 6 oz for many razon One because it stay longer at the same spot 2 it can go farther than smaller sinker do to line is 50 pound a small sinker can’t even go far . 3 most the time wave are stronger deeper water Or windy days it also help but for perch or fish from front line surf we use 1 0z calrolina rig
@@jlhafishingisnotjustfishing great advice, what size rod do you use? Seems to handle all that weight well while casting. Tambien donde compras esa lina para que el camaron se queda en el hook? Alguien me dijo a comprar en amazon pero debe estar un lugar en SD no?

hi what weight do you use
Torpedo 5. Oz
How do you not get caught on rocks and have to cut line there? In that rocky area I always got stuck
That is normal . But if you loose line after you stock wait 3 to 5 min your sinkers will get ways from rock . Also we use 50 pound braided line
@@jlhafishingisnotjustfishing thank you!
