OVERLANDING in AMAMOOR State Forest | Creek Crossings, Picnic, Walking Track, Waterfalls

We head out to Amamoor State Forest with our first stop at the Amama Day Use Area. Perfect spot to stop and have a cuppa, let the kids and/or dogs out for a play. Across the road is the start of the Amama walking trails. We then went for a drive around and found a nice spot down on the Amamoor Creek for lunch and a swim.
Truly a great spot and certainly recommend the trek out there, whether it be for a day visit or even over night, Cedar Grove is just up the road. We'll be heading back out there for more exploring and 4x4ing.

Yeah it was quite muddy. (Did the creek crossings twice and made the kids get out and wash the mud off haha)

They're shutting gates up there now. We went up a few months ago and a number of the forest tracks were closed off. Very disappointing.
