What a wonderful video. Apart from learning more about Sashiko I really felt encouraged. It was good to hear such an enthusiastic exponent say that it doesn't have to be perfect work and that there is an element of fun along with the Zen. I'm not a quilter but I really loved the Sashiko embellishments on the quilt once they were explained. Thank you. I'm looking forward to watching more and learning more.
Thank you- I really appreciate this encouraging video. I live in Japan ( retired foreign wife/ Japanese husband) and I have long adored all the beautiful sashiko items here but was always too intimidated to try it. Just today I got some supplies and have decided to get my feet wet...so I appreciate your relaxed attitude and encouragement!
This video was extremely helpful and informative! Even for me, who is interested in sashiko for denim repair (or perhaps beautification since i'm not incredibly patient with waiting for something to need a repair). Anyway, I was having trouble understanding some of the words you used, like "katesome," (not sure how to spell that) and was wondering if you could lead me in the right direction for vintage japanese indigo fabrics? Thanks so much, and thanks again for this video!

Those specific fabrics are all long gone, but we have several reproduction fabrics in stock that look good, mostly from Sevenberry.
