Kevin, what a lovely flower arrangement, as are all of them you do! I grew up in my Grandmother & Aunt’s flower shop. I was 12 when they retired. Although t I did not have formal instruction, I watched carefully & with left over flowers, I did my best to copy their arrangement! I still visit that flower shop & have for 61 years! It smells amazingly the same. The long work table is the original table where all the arrangements were created. It is ephemeral art. Blessings 🌼

I modified the chicken a bit, but it was gorgeous. I marinated the chicken with salt, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika and herbs de provence. Upon recommendation I did stuff a lemon slice under the skin. Because it worked better with my other side, I cooked the chicken lower and slower (about 170°C for 50 mins). The chicken was unreal and the lemon slices were tender and totally edible. My roommate called it a triumph! I love your wonderful content, Kevin!

I grew cauliflower once, but learned that to keep it white, I had to pull the leaves up over the heads! So, I believe that your purple caulflower is not an unusual variety at all! I agree that it is beautiful!!! :-)
Inspired by this, I ran to the market yesterday for ingredients for a late supper. Of course I couldnt find purple cauliflower, but I served the chicken ( which was very good) with au gratin spinach. I can't bring myself to eat chilled soup, but it was delicious served hot with some croutons. I didnt have time to make panna cotta, so i served a bakery cheesecake with strawberries. Big hit! Really, you could fool everyone into thinking that you DO have professional training in flower arranging=well done! The soup looks divine! Trader Joe's carries prepackaged rainbow-like cauliflower with purple and other different colors. Yes, I have seen purple cauliflower. You can also find/grow purple green beans, carrots Brussels sprouts, and purple potatoes. I haven’t noticed a different in taste, but they sure are fun to serve!

I was shopping in Giunta’s Meat Farms today,(one of my favorite shopping stops), they have the most beautiful produce section, which has a vast array of unusual fruits and vegetables. The colors were truly amazing, You may have one near your home. The store I visit is in Port Jefferson. I truly recommend a visit. Blessings…..

I have always enjoyed arranging any kind of flowers!!! When I was growing up my maternal grandmother grew just about every flower imaginable!!! We always had fresh flowers in the house when they were in bloom. In the fall and winter she would go outside and cut magnolia, juniper or cedar boughs. She could grow the most beautiful azaleas, camellias, roses, gladiolus and zinnias I’ve ever seen-snapdragons, tulips, irises, dahlias, daffodils, you name it-if it would grow in central Georgia she had it in our yard!!!
