- This is a full Route visual / Timelapse (Live View) of TFL London Bus Route 299 which runs from Cockfosters Station to Muswell Hill.
The round trip at normal speed will again be used for driver training purposes.
Sullivan Buses now operate TFL London Bus Route Route 299. Previously operated by Go Ahead London but now the route is run from South Mimms Bus Garage using new Wright Streetlite single decker buses with Stop-start technology. This visual is filmed on SL92 JJ67SUL,
This was my first ride on a Wright Streetlite, and the engine is not as refined as you would like. I still can’t get used to the “bulging” front window, so I’d rather go for an Enviro200 anyday.

1:18 road name on the left the vinerie's is similar to the name of a school near Richmond that I have recently passed on the 337. I will try and find out the full name next time I'm in the area

Heavy traffic at 2:14 just cos one geezer wanted to park his car. This is why we need more bus lanes
wasnt affected by that much, the bus lane at the end of the video wasnt used
this route is the strangest route i have ever seen the 299 is also part of some other separate routes 😆

What Camera/Phone do you use? I'm looking to buy it as the quality of it is awesome, and would be good for my future visuals.
+VolvoTrident I use a dashcam...the same quality as a go pro ( costs hundreds) but a fraction of the price
Placing the camera in this position is cool as you get to see the windscreen wipers. Because you speed up the footage, they hardly get in the way at a all

Great. I want to do a single decker as well but I'm not sure if the driver would let me film from the front.
Im not a big fan of rear window visuals but you could do that, most drivers will probs say no, so its usually double deck
LT Buses 2002 if you end up doing a single decker route I recommend you do the 380

What is that bus station around 2:20 and why is there only one lane apart from where the buses stop. Surely this could be dangerous and also slow everyone down if two buses are going opposite ways. This is not helped by the fact that you might have buses in front of you before you start the overtaking manoeuvre that could block your view
