Denzil was my instructor and let me tell you he is this guy is a true legend, did so much for the community.
One of my proudest moments was when we were all lined up in a row and we had to take a punch each to the gut, I was near the end and I thought the procedure was take a punch do 20 press ups because that's what everyone had done up to my turn, I took the punch and breathed out while my belly swallowed his fist and I felt nothing, he looked at me with a smile and said stay standing carried on up the line. Then it was our turn to punch him again everyone had to do 20 sit ups then it was my turn I reversed handed him with meaning but shouted at the same time and he scuffed up my hair and said stay standing and twice I was the only one standing. Hadn't long started up then. Miss those days.
The things I don't miss is having denzil lean on your back while your lanky body is trying its best to do the splits so that your chin touches the floor lol we used to have a window sill and he used to put his feet up on that and his body weight on your back. I can still picture the burn to this day.
