- DMZ 6 man platoons are everywhere in DMZ right now. Some people think they need to be reworked in season 4, others do not. Regardless, the 6 man fights are some of the most intense fights you will ever get into while playing DMZ.

While I acknowledge the issue of pre-made platoons and admit that's unsportsmanlike, the bottom line is that platoons are only a problem for people who don't platoon. 🤷♂️
I play both as a solo and squadmate. Playing solo or not assimilating means you are willingly making the game more challenging, and I feel people need to accept that.
The mechanic is there, you're making a choice to use it or not, and you bear the consequences.

@@fergusonja8 I respectfully disagree. Assimilation is a risk/reward gamble, sure, but so is even playing in the first place. The name of the game is survival, and like it or not, there's safety in numbers. Ultimately, it's the Devs call, but given they've already rolled out maps that don't allow assimilation or pleas, plus a unique call out for platoons via the comms vest, I don't think it's going anywhere.

Played DMZ yesterday and my 3 man got wiped out 30 seconds after spawning by a team. Fun exemplified.

This is some smooth gameplay and teamwork, great stuff, as usual! I'm 50/50 on platoons. They make DMZ more fun and chaotic and sometimes help to finish missions if you play solo. On the other hand, sometimes there are so many it's almost unplayable. Like, what do I have to do with a platoon on 2 turreted LTVs on a final exfill? Same for turf wars on Ashika 😆
The worse ones are the 6 man hyper aggressive players that push a 2 man all at the same time after an Advanced UAV and while moving with bomb drones.
These guys were trickling.
If they are going to keep multi grouping in the game mode (which they should not), they should at least make squads above 3 players suffer all forms of friendly fire damage.

i infilled with 2 randoms.. i asked whats our mission and they just no they meeting with a team in city to make a full squad.. i had a feeling they would join and kill me as i was geared and they werent but luckily i was spared.. we didint kill any squads at least,m just went after commanders and train stash

Dmz is dirty right now, the days before the season 2 wipe were bad. This time with the assimilation is hell. Yet I see it as a challenge. If i can complete my faction missions in pre wipe DMZ, I can do anything in DMZ. #endassimilation

DMZ is a social experiment that has failed miserably. The emphasis on PvP (PvP isn't a bad thing) is getting a little overzealous.

A head shot doesn't down a player who has full health w a 3 plate vest unless that's explosive rounds.

Personally I prefer smoke grenade to stim for tactical. Snipers don't usually have any sort of thermal scope, and if it's close range, thermal sights require ADS which isn't that great if you're running away/evasive when closer. Essentially, your probability of survival against any number of fools is pretty high with smoke, and it does inch you closer to regenerating naturally.
For lethal, frag grenades are good if you expect to push. This includes erasing a team that hops on an exfill chopper. Claymores or proximity mines are you go to when you expect to occupy a building and will get pushed. I don't get what the throwing knife gets you. Just use bullets to eliminate people.

You know everytime you play dmz there is someone trying to kill you. Today I was playing with my friend and a platoon was hunting us, in that game I killed 5 operators and my friend got 2.
Man had a game last night that started with us almost getting wiped off spawn, pvp the whole game, by the time the gas started closing we had an extra team mate and 6 confirmed squad wipes. Everyone just kept coming to where we were it was insane

Yeah, the final exfil 6mans are the worst, no co-operation and no discussion just thirsting people at final exfil, they don't even get anything for doing that.

I think the new Karma system is gonna have a good deal to do with addressing this issue. Hopefully, you'll only be able to team up with certain operators who align with your faction you're currently set to, so that you won't never be able to find operators to join up with, but that hopefully the first team you come across every time won't be able to squad up, only when your factions align. Something like this could be good at decreasing the amount of platoons. I think that also, perhaps when operators form platoons the game should incentivize players to group up through a "Urgent contract" like an HVT squad hunt. If the platoon extracts in this time they get a good bonus, giving them incentive to get off the map too. Possibly a load of cash, since that'll be a thing now. A special exfil bird that marked, but has like Gasmasks, Kill streaks, 5 star weapons, etc maybe gun turrets? Could do a lot of things.
The new "faction" system will be nothing more than a bar that goes up in the mission screen. It will have no impact in game or on gameplay

This is all we see nowadays and for those of us that are only ever duo’s (and not on PC) it is getting to the point where I’ll soon be stopping playing.
The majority of us simply can’t compete against 5-6 man platoons and it is game breaking…

Looked fair to me. You actively chose to engage teams that didn't even know you were there. Could have easily flown away in your helo or drove away but decided to stay and fight. Comms vest told you exactly the situation you were pulling up to.
From what I could tell, all you wanted was to fight. Then you choose to run as a duo which is below the trio standard, and when you do (accidentally) pick up teammates, you don't even want to play with them or even show us how that scenario ended. You cut straight to another raid.
This killing for the sake of killing. You're not doing missions. You're not picking up people after you beat them (which is a sportsman thing to do)... And then you end up dying at a final exfil when you could have made it out safely if you weren't so busy hunting . Your decisions led to the demise.
Now you're entitled to play however you want, but don't lie and say it wasn't fair. You had other options.
And let's be real ON1C. You have pro level skill. If you weren't facing 6 man teams, DMZ wouldn't even be a challenge for you. You, Stodeh, Stone and others, are the last ones who should be complaining. 1 of you is worth at least 2.5 of the average player.
You don't want to be outgunned, be friendly and squad up. If you choose to run solo, duo or even trio then kill people, they plea, and you're not willing to team up afterwards; You deserve to get killed by a larger squad. You chose to be outnumbered.

I destroyed what I thought was a 3 man in ashika and picked my guy up. 3 more come back to kill my buddy right when I pick him up but I get away just to be ambushed by them at the exfil. to hear that they're keeping 6 mans makes me not even wanna play DMZ. at that point I'll just stay in warzone cause I'm not part of those rejects that go to DMZ when they lose warzone.

Using a UAV on PC appears to be total AIDS...one small victory for us console peasants.
I downed 3 operators out of 4. I took one of their gold bar and left. As a solo player I didn’t want to take anymore chances with no more plates on

assimilation was cool at first but now it’s just corny af with people joining lobbies at the same time to make a 6 man off the rip, like how is that even fun just stomping the servers, less people on the team means more kills for you and maybe 2 other people… assimilation should be 4 MAX not 6, and 4 is pushin it

Six men teams need to be reworked and nerfs badly because of pre made six men teams without comms and it major problem in DMZ I know that they bugs and glitches as well but pre made six men teams are far more a problem that needs to be deal with soon as possible before it ruins DMZ experience

Platoons are either genuine friendly nice people who just wanna do tasks and exifil and have fun and know each other but also players who suck and arent skilled enough to have succes on their own
