Currently driving a BM camry. 1 costly difference between BM and PI camry is the ride height. BM is higher. Resulting in more roll, poorer Aesthetic and handling. 5 fingers can go into the gap between the top of tyre and car body, like a SUV clearance on a sedan. Only way is to spend 2-3k to rectify the issue by going aftermarket, time and effort to tune, PLUS voiding part warranty. Head unit is smaller from BM with no secondary usb connection for Apple Carplay. Meaning a cable has got to be permanently sticking out dangling from the face of the HU. Can also rectify this by switch out the HU of your preference. Beside voiding the part warranty (like usual), improper electrical works on hybrid ‘can’ result in more issue than convention vehicle. Oh, One more thing. The factory filled engine oil is 0w16. BM filled it with closest oil they have which is 0w30… There actually more differences but i will stop before it gets too long. This version of camry is a 200+hp with a real world FC of around 18-19km/L. Rarely can be achieve for vehicles with ‘decent’ power. Just need to consider the underlying cost when choosing WHERE you buy the vehicle from,
For the auto unlock feature, I remember there was a setting (ex few gens) can be done on ACC mode, press and hold the lock with gear at "P" position. This feature was disable in factory setting. Check the manual.
All doors can unlock once shifted to park. Just get the dealer to set this. Pretty common setting to be on. Wonder why BM had it off for their test car.
Camry is Toyota's version of Mercedes. It's meant to be driven chilled and relaxed. And yes! TOYOTA is known for their strong A/C. Even a 10 year old altis is freezing cold!
Can't agree more with your sentiments towards the end! I had a good laugh (in a good way!) Always a pleasure to hear your honest thoughts too about cars beyond the paper specs and how well they can carve South Buona Vista :)
I recall Jullian has a passion for camry lolol. Btw just a thought if opel crossland GS line will be in your list of review. Tested it and was a fun car to drive thou opel is underrated frequently.
The central LCD screen look really terrible. Like a more than 10yrs old designs. A Korea smaller Avante or Cerato look much better. Can't toyota put a nicer screen there..
Pre facelift center console looks much neater than this facelifted one. And now, that central screen location looks like an after-thought and the center console looks cluttered. As usual by Borneo Motors, give their buyers a cheap looking and smaller infotainment unit.
Yes, smaller than PI’s, also smaller than compare to Camry in other countries like US, China, australia. Car play need to plug in front the front of the HU… permanently.. Yes, even on the Elegance
Where a Japanese car designers heading? Blood red interiors for a test car, fengshui maybe? Dashboard is overly designed for an executive sedan. The Japanese have lost their way. Sad.

Will buy. Looks Lexus & premium. Cheap at only 150k. Interior looks plush.
Camry makes you feel home!
Your family will thank u for the Camry. 👍

Good & honest comment! Well done. It is still a uncle car but with outstanding aircon.
No mention of TNGA , TSS ??
Which is pretty impressive
Which set aside this Generation 8 Camry from the previous generation uncle Camry
The red interior looks genuinely horrifying
This is much better than the previous petrol camry. Now with the bodykit this model is equivalent to the US spec XSE
Not sure if i'm being too critical, or is Julian showing abit too much of his 'love' for japanese cars, making this review pretty subjective?

wheres idris 😔
omg! i cannot accept the super red interior leh.... Like attending a wedding inside lolll
can sgcarmart review older taxi in sg? i40 / Renault.... their engine noisy AF, as passenger, but seems fast
I thought my screen was dirty at certain part of the video towards the end.

How come too expensive
What is ur currency talking about?
150k USD or SGD ???
Model 3 review next?
For that price might as well entry level to conti car
if toyota launch an aircon, daikin and mitsubishi might go out of business
It is a comfy car, certainly the end of the road for the driver

carmart i reccomend yall to stick with this presenter compared to the prev past few videos, sounds more confident and natural
I'd rather get Harrier hybrid. It's like a Camry CUV
Nice show by him, but 2.5 hybrid don't make sense by Toyota
how so?
@@Alphapunk2 roadtax too high. 1.8 hybrid or 2.0 hybrid will be just nice.
