Would be pretty incredible if you could scan a QR code on a bag of coffee and it adds the roaster’s recommended recipe & flow profile straight to the machine.
My E1 Prima arrived on Friday. (Ordered from a different supplier to Coffee Parts) I ordered a black one, and inside the box was a white one. The label on the box said that it was black but it seems someone at Victoria Arduino doesn't quite get colours/labels. No big deal, it was still my dream machine and the wrong colour is very much a first world issue. Brought the E1 out onto the bench and couldn't figure out why is wasn't sitting level. A quick look underneath revealed a bent leg just like the Tower of Pisa. The whole machine was able to rock back and forth like a child trying to self sooth. I wasn't even able to lock the portafilter in it without having to cradle the machine. So my E1 Prima is now waiting to be collected for repair/service without having even been plugged it in or turned it on. For a $7,295 AUD espresso machine, somehow I was expecting better than that.
Ohhhhh no… The guys at Victoria Arduino Australia are awesome. So if you have any issues with getting the machine repaired from the supplier your bought it from, just email us and I will reach out to VA for you. They are a beautiful machine, so hope once it’s sorted it makes you smile for years to come.
@@CoffeePartsTV Thanks so much for your offer to help. The other supplier contacted VA Australia and I had a call from them within 10 mins to arrange for the machine to be picked up. That has been awesome service so far and I expect to get the machine back in perfect condition once they work their magic on it (and change the panels). It is just frustrating that I have to rely on the wonderful coffee community here in Aust to get this thing sorted, when for that much money, I should be getting a perfect machine from the factory. You guys may want to check any boxed machines you have in stock to see that the colour of the machine matches what is on the box. Hopefully my machine packaging is only a one-off, but it doesn't hurt to double check. Thanks again for your offer to help, it is hugely appreciated. :) :) Steve
@@pfeliciano5976 Yep, it sure seems that way. I was talking to my local coffee roaster who has one and the shot screen on his E1 stopped working a while ago. They make amazing coffee but the issues with them.....
Hello guys! What are your thoughts on picking this machine for a cafe with 100-150 cups a day? Will this boy have a hard time dealing with a line of cappuccino orders like 5-10 in line? Thank you!
Is it possible to adjust the pump pressure while pulling a shot? Something like pressure profiling where for instance I start at 5 bars and ramp up to 9 bars and drop down again to 5 before i stop the shot.
Is it a fixed or programmable pre infusion? I’ve worked on a white eagle and loved it but wish it had customizable pressure profiling like the mvp hydra or slayer. It’s a shame because I love the look but id rather choose a machine that let me adjust the pre infusion to fit each new coffee I was working with.
For the price alone for this machine should come with dual boiler but it is advertised as Neo meaning single boiler then as a user can’t brew coffee and steam milk at the same time.
They are speaking with such intussiasm about this machine and the key points that I run straith away and bought a Rocket R9 One, it seems they don't understand what's the point of this machine and why it is so expencive without some key controls and just paying for the brand. Thanks for the video, it was really helpfull for me
R91 is a worthy competitor but it's around the same price point as this one so I'm curious as to what other factors lead you to make that decision. Can you please elaborate?
@sohailhines the rocket R Nine One has pressure profiling and programmable profiles for that. The eagle doesn't which is a huge reason to buy the rocket in favour of this
Another app idea. Allow users to rate shots after each extraction and use an AI engine to recommend profiles and recipe changes. I really like this machine, I hope it’s as good as it looks.
I have one, but unfortunately it broke this morning. I took it apart and found several leaks and a broken fuse holder. I emailed tech assist early morning, so we shall see how they handle the repair.
Ohhhh no! The early models, as in from the first few batches had fuse issues but they have since been resolved, and really ready to replace and update even if you have an early model. I'm sure your local tech's will sort it out easy.
@@CoffeePartsTV Wow, what a great company. They overnighted all the parts needed. The tech even put together all the threaded fittings to make it easy for me. Then they held my hand on getting an AA and A4 error that showed up after the software update. I am overwhelmed at the professionalism the techs showed.
In Australia they update them on bench-test. But yes, down the track you will need a usb port, hopefully in time they download firmware updates over the air.
I am sending mine back. Poor build quality. Cut hand getting water tank out. Drip tray not level. Extraxtion of a double shot is programmed in. Five seconds? Worst coffee ever
Ouch... Sorry to hear. In regards to the the water level tray is easily adjustable, could of move adjustment when putting machine on bench... I feel all buy one of our customers who has bought the Prima have loved it, yet online do see a fair few comments regarding quality. Wondering if these comments relate to early batches, as we have not seen many issues with them.. Or maybe we have had a lucky run with our deliveries... Personally I had a Prima and loved it. Have since changed machines, yet for me that's common, I tend to change every few months..
@@CoffeePartsTVI've heard so much about questionable reliability on this machine here and elsewhere. I'm in Seattle US and there isn't an official dealer near my location so reliability is even more important.

Geez I want one. Thanks for the review!
They are a super cool machine, we really enjoyed having this machine and filming it.

Thank you for your honest feedback!
So many people have so many issues with the machine.

Great review. I want one!
I love André Eiermann
HAHA...
What is the dif between this one THE E1 PRIMA and the E1 EXP ? @coffee parts
Will you be doing a comparison between this machine and the Linea Mini? Been a Linea fan for a while but liking the Prima.

How is the brew group heated? Is it an electric resistance wire?

What type of pump does the machine have ? Rotary or vibration.
Rotary :)
I like that the Josh Brener from the movie The Internship is now into Espresso..
lol
Is the grouphead stainless steel?
The portafilter holder is stainless steel, the group head is made of brass.
Thank you @andre for confirming :)
I hope you will upload the Video that you mentioned about the App. cheers!
We will! I'll be sure to let you know once its up :)

Wow. Commercial machine chopped in half. Great idea! What is going to be chopped next?
Great machine, great video 👍 Is it possible to switch off the steam boiler? For example if you just want to make espresso? Many thanks.
This function has not been integrated, but I take it happily to the R&D department.
@@andreeiermann7638 Would be a great option for those only wanting espresso, less energy waste also.
Unplug a wire to the steamboiler and call it a day 😊
Also machine requires update on arrival. i am mac user so I am out of luck as there is no USB

No USB on macs, really? All my macs have USB ports. Your mac would have to be over 20 years old!
$6k
We sell them in Australia for AUD $7295
Yet prices will vary around the world.
