Really? Is this really happening? I need specific tips to know about in order enjoy an average game that masquerade as triple A title? A good game doesn't require someone to tell people how they should play or what they should do in order to make sure that they enjoy the game. Do you not see how stupid this is? Why do you insist on doing this? The game is at best decent. Stop acting as if it's really a good game.
Care to explain? You know, being a blind fan little girl who insists on defending an obvious flawed and unfinished game is not going to help us get better games in the future. It will only encourage developers to keep launching shitty games under the triple A tag and price. Again, it's sad that you don't value your money and time enough to demand the quality you pay for, but if you are not capable to have a constructive discussion, then I would suggest you keep quiet.
Same. I've just been enjoying the story and seeing the views and the atmosphere. It's an amazing game imo. You can't miss it if you're into sci-fi. So many hours of work must have gone into making this detailed word while all these critics can probably barely bake an egg. I'll be playing this for weeks to come, no doubt.
Nah alot of the hate is deserved. I'm having fun playing it but there are some major hang ups that detract from the experience. Dialogue, Character models, and glitches. The beyond ugly faces just look laughable from certain angles. Does it mean the rest of the game is garbage? No, but it is valid and in your face constantly during conversations. Similarly issues with glitches like twisted limbs, people facing the wrong way, and texture clipping breaks the immersion as well. However the worst part for me is with the lack of Paragon/Renegade my personal dialogue choices feel so meaningless. the dialogue mostly comes down to choosing to be a little sarcastic or overly nice. You can't walk in someplace and have a "fuck you doing this my way" conversation with anyone.
Cole Oskiera A lot of games have had bad character models but I don't know of any game that has gotten anywhere close to as bad of press for it. It deserves criticism for it but wow it's just been constant shitting on the game for it. And I personally haven't seen any of the other issues you're talking about in my playthrough so far. I've had a bug and glitch free experience except once where I had to restart the game because it wouldn't let me interact with a console.
Cole Oskiera There is no reason to hate this game. If what you just said are the only reasons then everyone should have hated mass effect 1. Nothing made that game more frustrating than having no save points. The gunplay was weak as all get out. There is constant texture popping, Sheppard is generic and stiff, and boy did the exploration Suck balls! and yet that game was Amazing!
*+Kragthor* _Assassin's Creed: Unity_ got just as much flack for its animation glitches, if not more so. Bear in mind also that this is the latest entry in a series that sells itself on compelling character interaction; facial animation work is just as essential to fostering an emotional bond with the characters as voice acting is.
Number one thing when landing on a planet, go to every single forward drop sire so you can then easily fast travel around the map, it cuts SO much time.
This video gets a like just for that lovely voice. Plus I have enjoyed what I've played so far. It's not the original trilogy but it's still mass effect.
@@elliotwatkins5383 just because the writing was not as good and it was not as polished as the other games doesnt take away the fact its still mass effect, the setting, characters, weapons. Everything about the lore is mass effect.
@@commandshep06 Regardless if you think its a completely different game, which to me even the gameplay very much feels like mass effect, it is still the world of mass effect.
@@commandshep06 obviously... ME3 was the end of a trilogy. Any new mass effect game has a lot to stand up to. You have to introduce a new world and bunch of new characters that no one has a connection too. MEA didn't deserve all the hate it got. Everyone was just stuck in nostalgia and didn't want to move on. Not saying there aren't problems with Andromeda but it's still a pretty great Scifi RPG.
@@joshuawhite7239 Nah I got past the nostalgia; the game is good with the cameos, it makes up for that. But the development of characters and world building sucked. The environment was not known, and obviously it was a new galaxy they were exploring but as you got towards the end the environment still isn’t really known and the building of the world is not good. The trilogy has great world building. You understood how the civilization worked, all the species relations with each other, all wars, and differences of society in the Terminus system versus in Citadel space. As for characters, they really really sucked. All were either complete copies or characters who barely had a backstory. None were important and none you can really get attached to like you could in the trilogy. They don’t develop great. EA could’ve done better with the characters and it really would’ve helped. I mean, literally one of the characters only personality or special thing about her was that she’s gay. That was it. And Coras only special thing was she’s a biotic and faught along side asari. No character development, no good backstories, no character arch’s and very cliche rip off personality’s.
@@joshuawhite7239 RPG element lost with the way the stupid wheel was set up. And choices no longer make a difference, there’s only one ending. That’s what got me the most, only one ending. That’s not an RPG game or a Mass Effect game. It’s a disgrace. It’s just liberal propaganda bs for kids to feel entertained by pointless shoot the baddies cuz their sick of screaming on call of duty. Oh another point, there’s really no plot. It’s just a species is mad cuz ur here; shoot them. It’s a basic plot with no substance. They could’ve made it deep like a real mass effect game, or given the plot *substance*
Lol yeah, the Mako missions were great huh? :P (I hated those damn missions haha) As a side note, I wish Ryder wasn't such a pussy emotionally. We went from Sheppard's badassery to Ryder's unsure nature. Not a fan of the underdog hero thing. Other than that, I love ME:A.
yeah I wish everyone would just chill the fuck out about it lol. If you're worried about bugs, wait a few months until there is patches, then give it a go. It can be very addicting and the combat is great. Any fan of the original trilogy WILL find something they enjoy about it enough for at least one playthrough
It's an epic fun filled ride from start to finish. I marvel at people who manage not to have fun with this game. Who gets hung up on trivialities when there's so much to explore, such pacy combat, and great stories to be part of?
people are way to harsh on this game. it's a lot of dam fun and the characters aren't bad at all. the face problems that I saw all over the Internet was off of one cutscene it's really sad that people are bashing a good game so bad people just can't enjoy anything anymore. there's some bugs but they already said there going to be patching the bugs and fixing some of the facial expressions so what's the big deal? every open world game had tedious quests and fetch quests from the witcher 3 to Grand theft auto. people need to just play it instead of bash it and they'll see its a decent game. quit listening to all these haters
Of course you would. You already have a preconceived idea of it and you obviously are going against this person as a point. You don't want to buy it because it's expensive, fine. If you haven't actually played it, then how valid is your argument? All you can comment is that face is bad. It's fixable. Move on.
Some1The4Got10 Or maybe I just don't scream that it's bad before I even played it? Funny, never said it was anything special, yet because I didn't agree with passing judgement before actually experiencing something for yourself makes me a "fanboy." Have fun hating, mate. I'm moving on.
Lolll. You have absolutely no point. You just came in to piss on this guy because you didn't agree. Apparently pointing out that other games contains the type of content that was complained about, too, means you need to go out and buy it. At all. Nope. You don't. Nor do I. But hey, no one's allowed to note that something can be interesting yet flawed on the internet, right? We all have to hate something like you do, because the world must revolve around you. Unfortunately, someone wasted time trying to open your mind as well, poor guy. Go back to your closet, mate. Wouldn't want you to become open-minded, right? Oh wow how terrifying would that be. I'll have fun wasting money on it, too. Because, you know, after all it would be my money... and the money that belonged to the people relaying their experiences with it here. We'll just be off now, enjoying life, and not hating on people for thinking differently. Ta.
Thanks for making me laugh, mate. Didn't say you're not entitled to your own opinion. But we're entitled to ours. Don't want it, don't buy it. We want it, we buy it. The OP think people should play it before they throw out such heavy handed judgement. The POINT is experience it, then pick it all apart, validate the argument. Not ohhh everyone PLEASE BUY IT IT'S SOOOO GOOD WOW. Don't want to spend 60$ because you're scared it's a disappointment? Don't buy it. Done. What are you even doing here? To tell someone who enjoyed it and want to clarify on some on the criticisms they didn't seem to encounter personally what....? That you don't want to buy it? Because... what? They're suppose to care about that, why? Honestly, you sound like a child who doesn't want spaghetti because you heard someone once said it's too salty so while people are saying "Hey, this spaghetti is not half bad. Why is there so much criticism around it? Have those people tried it?" and you just walk in and said, "NO. IT'S TERRIBLE. I WON'T TRY IT. IT'S SHIT. PEOPLE TOLD ME. I WON'T SPEND MONEY ON THIS." +Sci_Ant then comes in "Have you tried it yet? Have you look around for other opinions? No one told you to spend money on it, but saying it's shit before you try it doesn't actually make it being shit a universal truth." From there the argument just goes on and on and on and on in circle. Oh sure, I'm totally hating. How was I hating? Oh yea, because I didn't see the point in your argument against those two, so insistently stomping your foot that you don't want it even though no one cares if you do or don't. Right. Oh, goodie, but then you clarify: "The point is that spending 60$ on something that the majority of people dislike is stupid." So... we're stupid.. then? For wanting to try something for ourselves...? And, in extension, that they're stupid to spend that money on games "the majority of people dislike" and actually enjoy it? That sounds a lot like hate. Oh sorry, buzzword, so terrible of me. So the point you've been trying to deliver is... we're stupid because we choose differently? We thought differently? Let's see here... I'm hating because I point out on your insistent that this game is shit to a person who merely say that after his experience, he found those criticisms doesn't come through so maybe people should consider trying before believing... a close-minded approach. And you just call anyone who bought it despite the reviews and are entitled to their own opinion about it stupid. Interesting. The troll is fed and life goes on.
Haha, you're right. Ugh, it really did escalate. I don't tend to comment on youtube, but I kind of understand how people can be carried away now. I get your view. It is costly, and I agree that it's ridiculous. Even me liking the looks of it, I'd rather wait for the price to come down. I'm really not bashing you for not liking it, but yea, those guys like it so they wanted some answers is all. They didn't mean to offend or criticise anyone, I'm sure. They risked it and got rewarded, but of course it doesn't apply to everyone. You don't want to risk a lot of money on something that doesn't look impressive or you feel is not worth it and that's fine, too. Let's just leave it at that?
I'm playing it for the first time this week, and I love it so far.. The first mass effect game used to give me butterflies in my stomach when I thought about playing it after work, travelling through multiple solar systems.. I liked the freedom to explore and drive around new planets was unparalleled back then. It was wayyyyy ahead of it's time... If the first three mass effects didn't exist, & this was introduced as the first Mass Effect, we'd all be pretty impressed. Jaded people over-criticize everything, and it's a shame that we all believe them
thanks for the advice. i must say although it was heartbreaking to see the many flaws of the new game i am never bored playing the game. its still mass effect at its core and offers a lot of great things the 2nd and 3rd game do not. thanks for seeing past the graphics and making a helpful video for us few true believers. 😀👌
I'm having fun. Love the ME universe and I'm ok so far. (10 hours in). Got it 'cheap' on gold and started on patch 1.06 and very few bugs from what I've experienced. Too close to dragonquest sometimes, maybe.
I am currently about 60% through with the game and I must say I'm really enjoying it. It does have some QoL improvements over the other games such as changing profiles if you get bored of a particular play style
I've been playing it since release. I have run across no gameplay bugs or facial animation bugs. I want to know how people are breaking their games to purposely cause bugs to appear.
Nice tips! My best single tip for enjoying this game? Don't read or pay much attention to all the excessively negative reviews! (Even the "facial animations" are o.k. - no worse than ME2 or ME3 had)... This game is tremendous fun despite some rough edges... Yeah, it can be deep and a little overwhelming to figure out all the mechanics - but just play and enjoy it for what it is!
I like how the people with the game tend to be the ones who defend it from videos like these and the crying people over the facial animations while the people who don't have the game are the ones who hate on it for something that is far clouded over by the story. Maybe the people who actually like the game for the story are true Mass Effect fans? Just my opinion... and my opinion is best.
The game does get grindy. Story/loyalty missions are generally well-designed, though. Despite my irritation with some aspects of the game, I'm currently on my third playthrough, so I guess I like it well enough. My advice for making it more fun: play at a higher difficulty. One thing Andromeda does well, in my opinion, is its combat system. You don't really get to experience that aspect when you can just roll over enemies without any trouble. Insanity difficulty is a fun challenge. It's not ridiculously hard, but there will be some encounters where you'll actually have to think tactically (as opposed to normal difficulty where you can just go into any encounter with your guns blazing).
It's amazing to me how this game has gotten so much hate, undeserved hate. The game is so fun, the story is awesome and the characters are sweet. Critics need to chill.
Honestly, this game has so much potential, and I feel that if BioWare completely remakes it with writers who actually care about ME, it could be worth it. Oh, and headcanon I want to believe as true: maybe Ryder and his crew weren't the first to settle Andromeda because Cerberus stole some Alliance Arks off-screen before the ones from 3 all launched, and Ryder's Ark was the only "legally deployed" one to Andromeda... One of them at least
Tip 1: Ignore all those scrubs crying about anything this day and buidl your own opinion. Oh wait, people nowadays have no idea how to have an opinion of their own.
Well said... One would think that globalisation would bring different opinions not bunch up every attention craving nutter out there. If I mention how I like the prequals and how I think Hayden Christiansen portrayed Anakin well, I will literally recieve death threats from a bunch of 12 year olds...
Giving this game a second chance, and I'm pleased to say Im actually enjoying it so far. I simply look past the bugginess and take it as impromptu comic relief if/when it happens
Finishing first run through the original trilogy, and plan to start Andromeda next (better late than never, right?) I realize they are very different games, but still excited to play Andromeda. This is a GREAT tutorial, thank you!
Tip 9: Make your own character. Fem Shep in particular has a smirk in her neutral face...leading to many tense moments coming off as giggly and rediculous. Lowering proportions can mean the different between weird lip sync and weird face AND lip sync. Also I still recommend the game to people. The dialogue is good...the story is good...and the crew interests me much more than I'd have imagined.
Yeah, it's like her default slider for her smirk ends up breaking the animation sliders, which should be fixable with a patch, so in meantime, avoid her default.
Jacob Applehoof yeah I made my own Ryder and he just looks like an ambiguous but cool race of mixed Middle Eastern and Eastern European races.. definitely a human tho, not a malfunctioning Android
Robert Schäffer shit is overblown. I went in with low expectations and if you get over the mediocre face design I'd give the game a 9/10 about 50 hours in
I have 57 hours in the game currently, and I can tell you, this isn't 57 h of pure enjoyment. It's a struggel of completionist fanatism, that when I started to play this game, I will finish it....whatever the odds. But in my opinion, the face design is the smallest issue. Game is full of bugs. Enemy mobs are constantly glitching into walls and had to reload more missions from start because i couldn't finish the objective because of this. Writing is terrible. The copy+pasted the original ME game and renamed the Collectors to Kett, and Saren to "Archon". (SMALL SPOILER STARTING : in Andromeda 2 od 3, we will also see a trace of the reapers...and cerberus! That's for sure" SPOILER ENDS) Side missions are all like I would play an MMORPG. Half of the playtime is watching this annoying long animation between system and planetary travel which is intended to cover the loading screen. Even ME 1 had more explorable planets than this game. And the list could go on ... :( So verdict: This isn't a bad game. It's a good game. A good game, which you would expect from an indie studio or a small one like Hello Games. But on Bioware scale.....it's a freking disater. And it's about time that Bioware gets bankrupt to put it as an example into the gaming industry.
im very near the end of the game and have had maybe one instance where something glitched into a wall and it wasn't even bad enough to have to restart a mission.... while i agree part of the story are similar to the original series its far from a copy paste and mass effect 1 did have alot of planets to explore each with next to nothing on them all of the planets in this game are full of shit to do and see. you also talk about hello games like they have a good game out which is just wrong and saying a game studio should go bankrupt because they put out a game you don't enjoy is funny. Instead of taking your time to bash a game which isn't even bad and comparing it to games that had their own share of problems when they first came out but had patches and have withstood the test of time... maybe you should instead take that time to go learn how to fucking spell because stuggel fantatism and freking are not words.
- The comparison to No Man's Sky isn't comming from me. Back than, the 1st time ME Andromeda was introduced, don't remember if it was EA itself or just the press, they stated that this game will be the kind of open universe sandbox spacegame which No Man's Sky wanted to be. I don't compare....i just remember what they said. - I don't want them to get bankrupt because i don't like this 1 game. I want them to be, because this is not the 1st time that they don't give a shit about gamers. And the time has come to make an example. - If offending someone on the internet just because of his spelling....on the INTERNET......is only showing that you don't have any reasonable argument left......well done :D
RyuKaguya stop calling it a bandwagon.. it's a full scale realization.. bird shit is gross.. most would agree.. would you say agreeing with that is a bandwagon? just because majority of normal people don't like your shitty game doesn't mean it's a bandwagon it's because people are real and demand more in 2017 not a game that looks and feels like its from 2009
What can we do though? xd We're the little people, they're the big people. People are still gonna buy the game regardless of all the bugs etc that 100% *should not* be there on release, so they don't give a fuck haha. The fact that EA are publishing this game is another fuck you, EA are money whores and give no fucks for the gaming community.
i'm saying fucking play the game before you whine. overreact all you like while its not a perfect game by any means it doesn't mean its the as bad as you think it is..christ -_- and no i'll keep calling it a bandwagon as you all feel the need to pat each other on the back rather than judging a game on its merits and instead only judge its graphics..which by the way shouldn't be expected to be god tier as this was bioware montreal's first game.
When folks complain about an RPG game being too grindy and repetitive.......... it makes me want to say..... what the heck did you expect?!?! It's an RPG! That's what makes it great! You work for your power! Just fight and talk to people. Well in this game you have to do a variety of things to level up which can be time consuming, but it's an RPG of another generation... it's just something to get used to and it comes with the RPG turf for those who don't know. I've been playing these games since I was a kid so I know what I'm getting into. Now those glyph puzzles are annoying as heck man let me tell you. If I wanted a strategy puzzle sudoko type game I would have gotten one!
does anyone know if when you beat the primary story does the game have a new game plus mode similar to Mass Effect 3? basically will I be able to start the game over but still have all of the upgrades and weapon unlocks and everything that I already had?
My expectations were so low, that i am actually really enjoying this game. The biggest annoyance so far is tge lack of awesome music when compared to mass effect 1 and 2.
Jake vs. the world I have talked to alot of people who have played the 10 hours early access and they like the game alot and look forward to it, so am I. There is obviously a hype train to rant on games that is not 110% perfect nowdays and it's all aboard for every internet troll.
I really enjoyed your commentary on this video. Very insightful and well thought out. Not to mention humorous. Thanks for sharing . Not to mention you sound a little like Suvi......
I hate this mass effect andromeda hate bandwagon a lot of people are on, I've actually played the game and I'm so far 15 hours in to the game and I have not seen one bug, btw I've watched many other TH-cam channels doing mass effect videos and Half of the Clips with bugs in this video is just copied from other videos
+Rogue Shadow This footage is all our own capture. Fair enough if your experience doesn't tally, but that doesn't mean anyone is lying, or 'copying' anyone else.
True but honestly, Not that bad. Great game so far, if you like mass effect and story building this game is good. Some things could use a tweak or three. Sam gets annoying but also the story if fun.
I hate the fact that you even made this video with such a horrendous title. My experience is the same as Rogue Shadow's... no issues except for the poor face animations. You have clearly made this video for likes and subs because hating andromeda is the 'in' thing to do right now. So you're basically a bandwagon sheep, congratulations
Nostalgic goggles. That's why. Suddenly the previous trilogy is perfect and this doesn't live up to it. Andromeda is nothing new, it's not perfect, but I've seen worse things done with sequels lately. Unfortunately, the internet likes to be polarize. Arguments make money for shows and people use it to vent. It'll run its course soon enough.
There is a vendor on the Nexus, he's at the desk by the cells in operations the first time you visit the Nexus. He's gone when you leave, never to return, he has some useful materials and weapons.
Your objective views of the game are your opinion and having really enjoyed the trail game with no bugs I think you're really giving the game a grilling. ME1 had awful menus, these are not great but I prefer it to the linear simplicity of ME3 which was designed to please the masses. This game has done so much right, take it easy ...
Tips to keep in mind: 1. Get it very cheap (e.g. £5.99) 2. Go in with low expectations 3. Always keep in mind that the game does not take its story seriously 4. Keep in mind that the game has been patched significantly (I typed this on June 28th, 2020, and not encountered any game breaking bugs). Although you should know that there are still some bugs here and there, not game breaking, which will certainly make lose your shit with laughter 🤣🤣🤣 5. Most important tip of ALL - don't go in expecting the storytelling to be on the same level as the Mass Effect Trilogy! Go in open minded with low expectations 😂 Enjoy the game 😂👍
Installed the whole game, spent an HOUR trying to make some character look at least presentable, gave up, started the game, saw the characters talk and uninstalled. I couldn’t play for more than a minute so I salute anyone that can get through this game
I don't understand the hate. I saw gameplay and it looked good d. I decided to but to make my own opinion and I don't regret it since. I have put 9 hours into the game and I love it. I just love listening to people talking and diving deep into the lore. I love how Beautiful it is. I love the crafting, fighting, missions, etc. Without making this post into a novel I give it a 9/10. Also if you are new to Mass Effect don't worry. They do a good job (if you look around and read) in filling you in.
I've got a one tip for all the haters: play the game. I was sceptical at first but I tried it after patch 1.05 and it's actually very enjoyable so far (the main isue was animations, story is allright although voice acting and the script can make you cringe occassionally)
I loved andromeda even with all the bugs the combat was the best in the series.. the story and characters were not as good but that didn’t stop me from liking it..
I played all four of their games so far and I don't find the big deal about this one besides the animations which is not a huge ordeal to me. if you can get past that then I think this games great! Yeah they put a lot of mods on the guns and such but having those options are what makes this game that much more exciting!
I mean you said it, glitches can be patched and fixed. The game itself is fine. I like the story, I like the skills, combat is a bit wonky, but otherwise fine. The characters at first seem kind of dull, but once you get them going they are actually pretty interesting. So, I'm enjoying the game despite that. If anything, if I see a glitch like that I'm laughing my butt off.
Good choice, I am a little ashamed to admit it but i already have 50 some odd hours on it, and it is probably one of my fav games ever, right next to ME 2, I might even like it more than ME 2
If this game had random events that you run into while exploring, I think just that alone would have boost its score exponentially. The game is so empty. I think there are only 2 quest events that you run into throughput this whole game that doesnt have a "!" prompt. Once you get all the forward stations in place, there's really no use travelling between the stations to get somewhere. Just fast travel and you wont miss anything.
Nice vid, thx for posting. I got the game and ran through it once before I went out and saw the hate on the internet. The hate has some point in minor things, but they almost all come from people who seem to have not finished the game. When I did the first time, I actually DID care about Sara Ryder and her teammates. Her voice work is outstanding - she is quirky, unsure of herself, and put into a leadership role - like it or not. That came off well and I think it worked. And, importantly, she is not Shepard. That's the key to this game imo. Sure, the game has big massive flaws, but having fun with it is the point - and I think it delivered that, in spite of the hate. (BTW, I think the female Ryder is the best part of the game, the male version is a bit too bland and nowhere near as fun as a character. So I can kind of see people who played male Ryder as not liking the game as much as they could have. In some of the hate vids I laugh at how bad they made their Sara - there is a way to make a nice looking one that carries the story... you people making such ridiculous looking Sara's are part of the very problem you complain of!)
I completed the single player game yesterday. The final battle of Meridian cut scenes were one of the highlights. Overall, the game has great graphics and combat game play as well as a good story. I found them enjoyable as well as interacting with most of my squad mates. You should definitely do the movie night side quest. The game is buggy in some locations however. In three instances it locked up my XBox One S and the only solution was a power pull or switching to a new game then reloading ME: A. After finishing the single player campaign I jumped into multi-player mode and so far its been awesome. As with ME3, it will probably be the main force to drive game sales in the long run. Overall, I would give it a B on the ABCDF scale. A+ on the combat systems and graphics, B+ for character development, B for story, and a C for game play because of some of the bugs (which will most likely be fixed in the near future with patches.)
Bioware maybe should have made world and levels smaller, and put a lot of thoughtful detail in it. And have a more focussed stories and relationship (both romantic and platonic). And really have an alien and unexplored galaxy, not filled with knows spieces, but with unknown ones.
I played the trial, and it was alright... but I'm waiting for this game to get some single-player DLC (even just some weapon or armor packs), and for it to be on sale before I buy it. My biggest hope for this game is that it will get an expansion on par with *Dragon Age: Awakening,* with the kind of writing, story, and characters we normally expect from a Mass Effect game... maybe with one or two new explorable planets as well.
There are already far too many guns to try them all, and a lot of armours too. There are three completely different tech trees, and all the ME guns make up just PART of one tree. Add to this there are a lot of Mods to tune them up. Remember, in game development a new gun is basically just a 3D model with a set of numbers. No DLC gun is going to be a superweapon.
"you can't be expected to drop everything for every random with a son story".... that's exactly what I did lol I completed all the side missions on eos, going to the Nexus, getting more, going back to eos, getting more, and now I've completed all of the eos stuff available again and I still haven't even gone to Veold yet lol I'm only moving on because there's nothing left to do but drive around the planet looking for more ppl to help lol
I don't understand why everyone hates this game. I enjoy the fuck out of it. Then again, I started it awhile after the release so I didn't have the apparently horrible bugs it had at launch. lol But if you play it through without bugs, I find it awesome. That head twisting bug, never got that one. In fact I never get any bugs, except maybe a crash if I play it with a bunch of mods. Guess I'm lucky.
Just picked up Andromeda for $6. It’s not a bad game. It’s a little slow in the beginning, but the combat is excellent, the graphics are beautiful, and in some way it’s still Mass Effect. The crafting system is needlessly obtuse and the menu UI is awful.
I got the game, and I must say it gets a lot better later on. I have not witnessed any serious bugs. The faces have been fine. No floating or random movement from the npcs. idk if I got the one good copy, but to me it seems like people have shit on this game before even trying it. Also, I must disagree with it feeling grindy. Each sidemission actually feels like a new mission, although there may be a few missions that accomplish a similar goal, yet the missions are spread through different planets and it makes sense that you would have to do it again. (Even when similar the structure of each planet makes the few "grindy" side missions to feel very different.
9. Consider to lower detail for achieve 60fps gameplay. It's a lot more enjoyable and responsive then 30FPS. Shooting is a big part of Andromeda and it's a lot faster then in the previous game, 60fps gameplay make a lot of difference in positive sense.
If i can deal with with Theresa's dress dragging across scalitiz in Kingdom Come, i can handle an alien awkwardly winking at me. You call that a glitch, haha
Ummm ok I LOVE ur accent.... lol a lot and thank you for the video I'm still not sure if I'm ganna cough up 60$ for this game but I think I might just to see if I can see or experience some weird glitches.... love you BW
2:15 how is that a bad thing? Are we running on the notion that everything that ISNT a streamlined process is thus clunky and annoying? I like more options..and it feels much more like an RPG in that regard. Despite all the harping, I enjoy both the combat and side missions. They give the game a level of enjoyable grind. I don't much care about grind...EVERY game has grind if it's not a one-off linear story.
I just bought this game for 10 dollars and the game isn’t bad I probably ran into one bug and that’s when I noticed my twin out of her stasis pod early in the game. But other than that I’m enjoying it. I needed an rpg to play.
First time I ever played a mass effect game and im not understanding the hate towards the game tbh it's great fun 35 hours in! 40% not rushing bio powers ftw!
"There's more to life than this."
Alex B. Get over yourself!
"There's more to life than playing Mass Effect Andromeda."
Eurogamer Theirs more to life than wasting it making videos on tips on how to enjoy a game
Take the Nomad out for a spin on the asteroid in which Vetra's loyalty mission is on. The low gravity makes driving there super fun
Tip #9: Buy the game when its on sale
Now is the time. 5 dollar bargain bin
I got it for 7.5 dollars
Bought it for 4 bucks and I love it! All the updates fixed most of the bugs .
yeah haha
Got mine 3 years in the future for 8 the super deluxe edition with all the gimmic.
Call me crazy but I'm really enjoying the game by just playing it. All the hate has been massively overblown.
I love this game wholeheartedly sure it’s got its flaws, but i look past those flaws and just enjoy a game I really love to play.
This video gets a like just for that lovely voice. Plus I have enjoyed what I've played so far. It's not the original trilogy but it's still mass effect.
FACTS
It's not mass effect
@@elliotwatkins5383 just because the writing was not as good and it was not as polished as the other games doesnt take away the fact its still mass effect, the setting, characters, weapons. Everything about the lore is mass effect.
@@commandshep06 Regardless if you think its a completely different game, which to me even the gameplay very much feels like mass effect, it is still the world of mass effect.
It is literally a Mass Effect game, one that a lot of people struggle to enjoy, but a Mass Effect game nonetheless.
I'm on my 5-6th play through.I love it, and i do still do the side missions. I'ts great.
Honestly I got the game and I'm really enjoying it so....
i'd rather still live in the past...oh the sweet nemories of the trilogy...awww
Lol yeah, the Mako missions were great huh? :P (I hated those damn missions haha)
As a side note, I wish Ryder wasn't such a pussy emotionally. We went from Sheppard's badassery to Ryder's unsure nature. Not a fan of the underdog hero thing. Other than that, I love ME:A.
I heard they did that on purpose,
sheppard was older and had more training and ryder is younger and well they didn't train to lead the whole thing
yeah I wish everyone would just chill the fuck out about it lol. If you're worried about bugs, wait a few months until there is patches, then give it a go. It can be very addicting and the combat is great. Any fan of the original trilogy WILL find something they enjoy about it enough for at least one playthrough
Yeah everyone complains but if you look at the original mass effect there are a hell of a lot more bugs
Close your eyes when talking to someone...
I select to show helmet during conversations but i use to do that in the other mass effect games too.
Hahahahah
Aww Shit Kicker
I WON'T SPEND MONEY ON THIS."
+Sci_Ant then comes in "Have you tried it yet? Have you look around for other opinions? No one told you to spend money on it, but saying it's shit before you try it doesn't actually make it being shit a universal truth."
From there the argument just goes on and on and on and on in circle.
All this negativity annoys me so much. It's a good game, the gameplay is so much fun and that's what matters for me the most.
Dracane so this game is worth playing
Just play it! It's actually really damn good!
How can I enjoy it when my face is tired from dealing with...EVERYTHING!
Francois van Heerden I say that all the time now I actually liked that line
haha i just started a new game so I actually know what your talking about
3:35 I see you unlocked the levitate ability for your squadmate *oh wait*
+lorcanman Comes with invulnerability too... now if only we knew how to get them back down.
Mass Effect Andromeda was a fun experience, I really enjoyed the game 👏👏👏 Good memories 😊
I am currently about 60% through with the game and I must say I'm really enjoying it. It does have some QoL improvements over the other games such as changing profiles if you get bored of a particular play style
Also. I really liked pebee!
I've never seen so many TH-cam tutorials on giving directions on how to enjoy your game.
Tip 1: ignore their faces
Imagine it's a Norwegian game where they didn't change the lipsync, and the vocal dialog was translated by the folks that did Wing Zero.
lol xD :D
aieden boy liquor
and weed and lots of it. forget how amazing the last three were
I've been playing it since release. I have run across no gameplay bugs or facial animation bugs. I want to know how people are breaking their games to purposely cause bugs to appear.
Small.Green :D human faces. Alien faces are fine for the most part.
Nice tips! My best single tip for enjoying this game?
Don't read or pay much attention to all the excessively negative reviews! (Even the "facial animations" are o.k. - no worse than ME2 or ME3 had)... This game is tremendous fun despite some rough edges... Yeah, it can be deep and a little overwhelming to figure out all the mechanics - but just play and enjoy it for what it is!
funny how oppinions differ...I really loved Peebee
It's not ridiculously hard, but there will be some encounters where you'll actually have to think tactically (as opposed to normal difficulty where you can just go into any encounter with your guns blazing).
now that I know I can keep playing after the main story missions I can stop killing myself trying to complete all the side missions. thank you.🤘👍✊
It's amazing to me how this game has gotten so much hate, undeserved hate.
Building you own opinion costs 49.99£.
Your mom's a scrub
Well said... One would think that globalisation would bring different opinions not bunch up every attention craving nutter out there. If I mention how I like the prequals and how I think Hayden Christiansen portrayed Anakin well, I will literally recieve death threats from a bunch of 12 year olds...
Free oatmeal no, it just means you have a shit taste
Or maybe you have shit taste :P
Hey! This game is actually LOADS OF FUN. Seriously play past the first 10 hours of serious exposition and it'll make the grind worthwhile.
Jacob Applehoof Fem Ryder*
sorry, my face is tired
Yeah, it's like her default slider for her smirk ends up breaking the animation sliders, which should be fixable with a patch, so in meantime, avoid her default.
Jacob Applehoof yeah I made my own Ryder and he just looks like an ambiguous but cool race of mixed Middle Eastern and Eastern European races.. definitely a human tho, not a malfunctioning Android
God, that accent is so adorable, please speak all day long I wanna hear you.
You know something went totally wrong, when you need to watch a guide about "how to enjoy" the game. :D
That's for sure" SPOILER ENDS)
Side missions are all like I would play an MMORPG.
Half of the playtime is watching this annoying long animation between system and planetary travel which is intended to cover the loading screen.
Even ME 1 had more explorable planets than this game.
And the list could go on ... :(
So verdict: This isn't a bad game. It's a good game. A good game, which you would expect from an indie studio or a small one like Hello Games.
But on Bioware scale.....it's a freking disater. And it's about time that Bioware gets bankrupt to put it as an example into the gaming industry.
HAHA ROBERT THE MAN KNOWS WHAT HE IS SAYINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
im very near the end of the game and have had maybe one instance where something glitched into a wall and it wasn't even bad enough to have to restart a mission.... while i agree part of the story are similar to the original series its far from a copy paste and mass effect 1 did have alot of planets to explore each with next to nothing on them all of the planets in this game are full of shit to do and see.
you also talk about hello games like they have a good game out which is just wrong and saying a game studio should go bankrupt because they put out a game you don't enjoy is funny.
- If offending someone on the internet just because of his spelling....on the INTERNET......is only showing that you don't have any reasonable argument left......well done :D
step 1: play it
the game is fine it's silly how everyone is on this bandwagon.
RyuKaguya stop calling it a bandwagon.. it's a full scale realization.. bird shit is gross.. most would agree.. would you say agreeing with that is a bandwagon? just because majority of normal people don't like your shitty game doesn't mean it's a bandwagon it's because people are real and demand more in 2017 not a game that looks and feels like its from 2009
What can we do though? xd
We're the little people, they're the big people.
People are still gonna buy the game regardless of all the bugs etc that 100% *should not* be there on release, so they don't give a fuck haha.
The fact that EA are publishing this game is another fuck you, EA are money whores and give no fucks for the gaming community.
i'm saying fucking play the game before you whine. overreact all you like while its not a perfect game by any means it doesn't mean its the as bad as you think it is..christ -_-
and no i'll keep calling it a bandwagon as you all feel the need to pat each other on the back rather than judging a game on its merits and instead only judge its graphics..which by the way shouldn't be expected to be god tier as this was bioware montreal's first game.
RyuKaguya it's not great but it's good
Ive not had a problem with this game at all. Its got a few bugs but not bad.
its 2020 and the game has gotten better
I don't know if i would consider the looming death by giant mechanical cuddlefish with lasers happier times, but sure, N7 armor is cool.
does anyone know if when you beat the primary story does the game have a new game plus mode similar to Mass Effect 3? basically will I be able to start the game over but still have all of the upgrades and weapon unlocks and everything that I already had?
My expectations were so low, that i am actually really enjoying this game. The biggest annoyance so far is tge lack of awesome music when compared to mass effect 1 and 2.
I look forward to the end of my work days just to get back home and on my PS4 for this.
You used the phrase "bespoke puzzle mechanics"
You can never, ever, downplay Nackmore Drack
How the FUCK did you get that black paint job for your armpit and Nomad??
hey i love peebee you haters lol
You can have her
Me too!
This game is actually really fun, don't listen to the ban wagon trolls
Haruka Minicho bugs can be patched so after that what's the valid point that ruins the game?
Jake vs. the world I really like it as well, everyone is getting all hot and bothered about some bad animations at will be fixed soon enough.
the bugs and glitches? sure... bad animation? unlikely, they will need to do major update or even reworks
Jake vs. the world
I have talked to alot of people who have played the 10 hours early access and they like the game alot and look forward to it, so am I. There is obviously a hype train to rant on games that is not 110% perfect nowdays and it's all aboard for every internet troll.
Stonkish Yeah if you like the other games in the series you'll definitely like this one, other than a handful of bugs, it's a lot of fun
Over 100 hours... does anyone else ACTUALLY enjoy this game or am I alone?
So you're basically a bandwagon sheep, congratulations
yea....keep andromeda....i think i will invest a bit in witcher 3 and by the time i am done with that game andromeda will be down to 20€.... nuff said
Nostalgic goggles.
Tips to keep in mind:
1. Get it very cheap (e.g. £5.99)
2. Go in with low expectations
3. Always keep in mind that the game does not take its story seriously
4. Keep in mind that the game has been patched significantly (I typed this on June 28th, 2020, and not encountered any game breaking bugs). Although you should know that there are still some bugs here and there, not game breaking, which will certainly make lose your shit with laughter 🤣🤣🤣
5. Most important tip of ALL - don't go in expecting the storytelling to be on the same level as the Mass Effect Trilogy! Go in open minded with low expectations 😂
Enjoy the game 😂👍
I actually think PeeBee is them ost interesting character in the new series. A lot of the others couldnt really surprise me in any positive way.
what's wrong with pebee, she got some of the funniest lines (while driving the nomad)
I'm getting more and more of an impression that this game is similar to one of my favorite games of last generation, Alpha Protocol.
Installed the whole game, spent an HOUR trying to make some character look at least presentable, gave up, started the game, saw the characters talk and uninstalled. I couldn’t play for more than a minute so I salute anyone that can get through this game
This video had me drooling over how juicy the crafting system is.
Tip 1: Gouge Left eye.
Tip 2: Apply alcohol
Tip 3: Dry wound
Tip 4: Bandage
Tip 5: Gouge right eye....
I picked up a brand new sealed copy for $5 USD. No brainer for a fan of the series.
I've got a one tip for all the haters: play the game. I was sceptical at first but I tried it after patch 1.05 and it's actually very enjoyable so far (the main isue was animations, story is allright although voice acting and the script can make you cringe occassionally)
Great game, I’d add unlocking the fast travel as the first thing to do on any planet.
When do I get to throw Peebee out the airlock?
So you can change companion's gear?
I loved andromeda even with all the bugs the combat was the best in the series.. the story and characters were not as good but that didn’t stop me from liking it..
I actually quite enjoy MEA. It's not an emotional impact compared to ME2 but just feels right enough to be a return to the exploration simular to ME1.
Still getting it tomorrow. Bandwagons are the devil
Good choice, I am a little ashamed to admit it but i already have 50 some odd hours on it, and it is probably one of my fav games ever, right next to ME 2, I might even like it more than ME 2
Its a good game don't listen to dbag critics
people with low standards are the devil and the reason we have bad games. You morons just keep buying shit and ask for more.
RobosergTV qq smh I would pay $60 for the et game cry me a river
The fact that there has to be a video where they tell you how to enjoy a game tell a lot of Said game
Drakk and Vetra are the best squad mates to take at the same time, I personally romanced Vetra and made drakk my best friend
Feels good playing Mass Effect on Playstation. Even 4 years later.
When you need tips in order to actually enjoy a game, that's when you know you done F*CKED IT UP!!!
ozeal D. It's not a terrible game. I've had quite a bit of fun so far
I read that "You done fucked it up" with Angry Joe's voice.
yeah i watch angry joe so much he's starting to rub off.
darksouls.
ozeal D. angryjoe is a knowitall who doesnt know it all. fuck him.
Bioware maybe should have made world and levels smaller, and put a lot of thoughtful detail in it. And have a more focussed stories and relationship (both romantic and platonic). And really have an alien and unexplored galaxy, not filled with knows spieces, but with unknown ones.
Why does any new game have so many haters...You people should really lower your standards and expectations....
2020 and still enjoying ME:A
Only thing that I don't like is having to go through all the stories and dialogue again on the repeated play throughs.
"you can't be expected to drop everything for every random with a son story"....
that's exactly what I did lol I completed all the side missions on eos, going to the Nexus, getting more, going back to eos, getting more, and now I've completed all of the eos stuff available again and I still haven't even gone to Veold yet lol
I'm only moving on because there's nothing left to do but drive around the planet looking for more ppl to help lol
Lol am I the only one that enjoyed this game? Granted I got it like 2 weeks ago after most of the patches and stuff and am playing on insanity.
If you disregard the bugs,is the gameplay any good? Is the story any good?
Is nobody gonna talk about her head twisting backward like an owl 🦉
Who's going to tell him about Sloane's head?
I was never on the hate train on this game I just waited for the patches and played it and I liked it a lot
Actually enjoying this game is actually not hard, I think the game is pretty awesome actually, actually.
I'm calling it now. The Kett turned off the vaults to hide attention from the Reapers. A Reaper wouldn't have any reason to destroy a dead planet.
I've had very very little glitches the only one I saw was the movie night quest and st the finale scene I was disappeared
Haven't played to much since i got it but so far the only team members I like, personality wise, is Drack & Liam
Also Jaal, or rather the Angaran themselves look like Twil'lek's from Star Wars.
