Lol yo this is surreal ! Thank you for the love and appreciation I legit saw that the notification was from you and thought I was seeing things lol thanks again 🌊
I read bleach when I was like 16 and my sense of fashion as a highschooler was female Ichigo even when streetwear of that kind was basically banned in my school. As an adult I have leaned into the sailor moon style and that's such a testament to how much of an iconic anime it was considering its already been more than two decades since it came out
Everything Rumiko Takahashi put out had mad drip. Not only the contemporary streetwear but the historic fashion and the fantasy creative fashion as well. Another mention: the CLAMP team and everything they did but especially Card Capture Sakura. She does a full change of outfit for every Clow Card. As a little girl I wanted all of her outfits sooo bad.
Yes! CLAMP characters are fashionable too. I personally like the outfits in XXX holic manga. Like some of the traditional mix with modern style clothes that yuko and watanuki wears.
YES! CLAMP are my absolute favorite mangaka of all time! And their costume design is just WONDERFUL! One of them even released an illustrated guide to kimonos.
It's always the 90's anime's with the most drip. I based a lot of my own style off of them. It would be nice to see more nowadays than just a uniform of some sort for clothing in anime.
Sailor moons fashion is so good they really looked like a group of girl friends who you would see everyday! Even their transformation outfits were cute
I just wear black to avoid standing out too much, no offense... but I guess pants do look a lot better, and... taking this to the next level, well, its why you see people getting some uhh... surgical operations & genetic modifications... cause we want to look particular ways and all that for a particular reason... like me, as I said before, wearing black to avoid attention & also simultaneously exude a particular, well, "I'm not social, please leave me alone" kinda vibe... cause I just want to be left alone, socialising is not my strong suit, please... oh please... leave me be... :C...
I love how no matter how great the fashion of Yu Yu Hakusho was... we never fully figured out how Hiei's cloak thing worked. Maybe that's why nobody was ever able to truly duplicate it.
I know people talk about how ridiculous the fashion in JoJo's is, i think sometimes as a criticism of it, as if to make the point that the series is hard to immerse yourself in because everything about it is so crazy, including the clothes that characters wear, that it can distract you from what's actually happening, but that's a major part of what i love about it. i think when it comes to JJBA's fashion, trying to replicate it irl never works as well as in the series, because of course its near impossible to get clothes like that, that aren't like cheap halloween costumes. but i think in simply trying to emulate the designs in the series works amazingly, it allows for a lot more creativity on your part, you could go simple - for jotaro maybe a dark blue jacket and jeans, with a light purple shirt - or you could go all out - the full trench coat and wide cut pants, accented belt, with a gold chain - but as long as the clothes you choose go well together, emulating a jojo's character embues your outfit with a unique sense of individualism within the ordinary that's hard to get from places other than those trying to make a statement about society, such as the punk scene.
I like this perspective, it's not copied off rediculous ideas some random ripple rhythm TH-camr puts out that is taken seriously seriously for some reason. I personally love Jojo, or at least want to love it. My relationship is complicated as it was important in growing me as a person, but as time goes on I see everything wrong with it and desperately want them not to be there so that I can enjoy Jojo once more. But the fashion, is rediculous. Not in a good way. *Jojo's bizarre adventure* slowly turns into *John's Daily Delivery Run* as it goes on. I know it sounds backwards, right? Araki is getting more crazy and it's making it feel more normal? The problem with trying to showcase the bizzare is you have to understand what is normal first. When I consume Jojo media, I feel as though Araki is attempting at writing outside the box when he has not created a box to be in to begin with. This concept applies to the fashion, where it is so focused on making individual fashion, breaking standards, and doing obvious characterization. It just spells itself out as a selling manga, though it's not much of a secret if you read into what Araki says in 'Manga in Theory and Practice'. He believes making 'Correct' manga is more important than telling a story.
That's one of the reasons I fell in love with Jojo Anime and now it's my favorite, the characters design, crazy hairstyles, make up, and fashion. Especially androgynous looking styles mostly for the male characters, that's my top fashion style. The whole over the top thing. Many of the shows I became obsessed with since I was a kid be it anime or Western animations (Like Monster High, Ever After High, and Totally Spies), all have a flashy, very colorful, over the top styles and that's what make them eye catchy and likeable. They show the hard work and love their creators put in them.
I can't believe you talked about Nana and not about Paradise Kiss. If you haven't seen Paradise Kiss, it's by the same author and the story is literally about fashion. You need to read this manga ASAP if you love fashion

This is LITERALLY one of my most favorite things in the world to talk about, analyze, discuss, etcetera etcetera and it is like...so under utilized. Not only is it way more interesting than to compare character who can beat Goku on the runway vs, say, in a fight (tired, boring) but a lot of times the personal fashion of a character is absolutely *riddled* with symbolism/makes use of colors and themes that lend itself to hours of analysis (woke, based, cool as hell.) Just... Okay I've watched like 5 minutes of this video sorry but I already know it's my new favorite thing and I love you, work it sister!! Would love to have ur personal wardrobe!!!
Also, 19:06 is an ACTUAL Gucci collab! Jojo x Gucci was sold in Japan, he drew his characters in Gucci looks and even designed some pieces for the brand. Araki has also had his artworks displayed at the Louvre!
One piece is getting there, they getting collabs in various brands. Some designs were used in their movies. Also if I remembered correctly, luffy is the first (or only?) Anime character to be on the cover of one known fashion mag Of course, nothing can best JJBA at louvre just yet. It's peak
I think botan from Yu yu hakusho sits up there. Like she’s always wearing something different from traditional Japanese clothing to like dark 80s esque rock looks & they’re always so good.
for me, fashion in anime/manga peaked with sailor moon's high fashion inspired outfits - the mugler (rip) and dior pieces especially were stunningly rendered and accessorised and were the perfect example of uses for 'unwearable runway fashion'
I remember i got complimented on my outfit by a group of girls while i was at the bookstore browsing books. I was wearing a more punk ish vibe with a graphic shirt with roses, red plaid skirt, a harness, spider patterned tights, doc martens and a coffin bag. Plus chokers , a long necklace and cross earrings. Needless to say shout out to Misa Amane and Nana for punk inspo😔🤞
Oh my god, as a kid I always wanted to dress like Ichigo - or just about any characters seen in the intros of Bleach, the nostalgia of this video hits hard LOL
Something I love about JoJo's drip is that it's so simple, but it works Jotaro's outfit is literally just a t-shirt with a Japanese delinquent jacket, hat, and leggings, and boom, an instantly recognizable character
This has got to be my favourite video about anime out here. And it isnt really about anime. Genuinely, 90’s anime fashion is such a great inspiration for style in general and its such a breath of fresh air that someone out there agrees.
Cardcaptor Sakura is probably amongst one of my favourites when it comes to cute designs being an iconic fashion statement. We see Sakura in new stunning outfits every episode, courtesy of her fashion designer and photographer friend Tomoyo, it's really refreshing to see since the outfits have so much detail and they also match the theme of the episode, making the outfit more meaningful. It's a different approach to the typical mahou shoujo outfits we see.

I appreciate you throwing Bleach in that category. In highschool I would wear clothing inspired by Bleach. I truly loved that style. And seeing Yu Yu Hakusho in that list as well pushes me more to that style. Awesome video.
I’ve always loved punk fashion and have incorporated its influence into my style but watching Nana recently has made me double down on that a lot more. I’m mixing lots of thrift store stuff and diy’d distressed garments with comme des garçons, raf simons, dior, mugler, and vivienne westwood etc and I’m loving every second of it!
@@InternetPitstop it hit me like truck, just now - you haven't said anything about lovely grim reaper - Botan. I get it, dude talking about dude fashion that we could emulate, but she had some tremendous looks like one where she run around with baseball bat killing demon bugs with that jacket, or her traditional oriental dresses, or one with suspenders .... i could go on and on xd
i was just looking for something to have in the background, but i binged all of your videos in 1 sitting, and this one sticks with me the most it started with black butler, then jojo's. the characters just looked good and i couldn't tell why, to the point where i thought for the first time i questioned my sexuality. I thought to myself "why does X character look so damn good" and one day it clicked... The Trash Taste boys in their jojo's suits I started buying up all the dress shirts and suits i could find (that fit me) at thrift shops and anywhere for cheap, without going the full mile of just clean cut, businessman suit, short slick hair. I found my own look that im happy with and can say is "my style" When you feel good in your own clothes, it helps you feel better being you. It gives a confidence boost, much like a construction worker putting on his hard hat, he knows who he is for today. Also fun fact, the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho is married to the creator of Sailor moon
One thing I have to say about clothing and style; making sure it fits your body proportions, and your body shape, is what will elevate any look. The great thing about drawing is that all clothes will look good on your characters because you can change the proportions, or the fit, of the clothes to make it work, while in real life you need to go to a tailor or seamstress to get that same effect. Also, shoes are super important.
Not to mention skin color. Alot people get offended by this and say wear whatever you want... yes you can you can look good but you look _better_ if you fit it to your proportions and color
Man I really thought you were gonna just end the video without mentioning jojos I would have never forgiven you but fr jojos has been my favorite piece of media for awhile now and the art and characters and styles araki comes up with are just incredible and I feel it's safe to say he has incorporated every single style there is. The emo, the casual, the formal, the downright luxurious if you want more steampunk or vintage: steel ball run if you want more of a street look feel: jojolion or diamond is unbreakable, and if you want to go wild: golden wind or stone ocean I could literally see myself rocking Hermes or yasuhos fit anyday
Finally, i can find someone who really accompanied with old styles fashion and old music in Anime. Thanks so much bro!! I have subscribed for you and hope to see more interesting concepts from yours.I think everyone has so much things to discuss, every lovers of anime. These always inspire me alot when i need ideas for drawing, designing characters not only the outfit but also the stories, their unique personalities. It's hard to have friends who passionately research and understand the different beautiful sides of anime. Hope you forget my little pesimistics. Love all of you guys !!
10:09 When sailor moon started my little gay, fashion obsessed heart gave up the ghost. I'm so happy to finally see people realize the amount of work and dedication these salior goddesses received in their designs. On another level.
You should’ve mentioned Rumiko Takahashi and her work… Ranma 1/2, Inu Yasha, Uresei Yatsura, etc. she incorporated some really cute outfits (mostly for the female characters). And the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena… those dashing uniforms 😏. Hunter X Hunter which is also by Yoshihiro Togashi (Yu Yu Hakusho) also has some sick fits. Princess Jellyfish also features fashionable characters. Anything written and illustrated by Clamp such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knights Rayearth is going to be full of fashion too.
Dude I binged through your content in one go. So glad to have found your channel! Also, as for drippy anime characters, I think Edward (the FMA one) iconic red coat over the sleeveless black Tanktop with the black pants, the boots and the belts, combined with the braided hair is just awesome. Also, quite a few early Rumiko Takahashi characters have sweet clothes imho.
Saw this on my recommended awhile ago but didn't come around until my friend told me to dress up for our hangout. BUT HOLY MOLY MAN, THIS VIDEO IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED; not only did I find several anime with amazing fits but for once I feel inspired and healed seeing such good drip. We'll go thrift shopping later but damn man, thanks for this hidden gem!
I can't fully express to you the Joy I feel when you pull out an anime or old xbox game that I thought for certain only 8 people in a reddit forum knew.
Ocean Waves totally changed my mind about fashion. There I said it! After watching it the first time, i rewatched again just to appreciate the different clothing style EVERYONE had. And I cant say I copied some styles lol
As an anime watcher ,my style used to be so horrible and then I got into kpop and it improves my style a lot.But I just realised that many 90s anime have good fashion ,back then I used to base my fashion on recent anime .No wonder lol . Seriously never really noticed it until now eventhough I'm a fan of a few 90s anime .
TH-cam recommend me this....and Oh my oh my, I found my new fav channel. This dude just presents a thesis on Anime Fashion...gives the man a Master's in Art NOW!!
Bleach creator has some of the best fashion design ive seen idk why no one gives him a chance in the fashion industry i would love to see his visions in real life
As a 33 year old man that last part about Samurai Champloo made me emotional, it's like you took a peak into my brain and pulled all of my childhood fears from it, Champloo is still my favorite til tgis day and the feelings that show gives me will never go away. Amazing work on this video man
I like how ichigo as a character is clearly very inspired by yusuke yet he has a completely different style of clothes and he looks nothing like yusuke. They don’t even have that similar of personalities but they have the same role in the series and even have similar motivations and character themes. Also I feel like some shaman king characters have drip especially yoh and hao. Ruroni kenshin characters also look very cool. And probably the character who stands out most to me in all of anime for drip is black jack. Only a medium like anime can make (somewhat outdated?) styles like samurai and the delinquent look with the pompadours, look awesome.
I was literally yelling jojos at you the whole video until you said exactly that, I mean the jojos gucci collab is what got me into fashion in the first place
I gotta say, I love the fit you’ve got at the end there. The white tee and blue jeans with the socks just give the perfect relaxed wind down for a video so focused on all of these different styles. It’s like a palate cleanser.
Hunter hunter for me has the craziest drip, the outfits are all so unique, kuripika is dressed like a soldier from the British crusade, gon has a a cropped jacket with short shorts all LIME GREEN, chrollo is what I imagine ryuk would dress like if he was human, and it all goes insanely hard. Despite the characters not having many outfit changes, each one dresses so differently and stylishly that it’s definitely up there in terms of fashion.
Fashion is a JoJo reference was such a godly line. I'm into fashion and drip but too lazy and slightly chubby to pull it off, but you might have inspired me to at least try. -Subscribed-
Glad to see that actual Yusuke jacket, LITERALLY last week (having not even seen this vid til now) I was thinking about buying one but wasn't sure if it'd look good or it's a cheap-made same mass-produce that I see on multiple sites. Now I NEED to (also which site you get from)
I got mine from Jacketscreator.com you can also just google search “jackets creator yusuke” and you’ll find it they shipped fairly quickly and though it’s not a perfect replica (the one yusuke wears is a cropped jacket this one isn’t) it is the closest I’ve seen come to it and the it is exactly very well made I’d recommend it for sure, thank you for checking out the vid 🌊
My favourite mangaka when it comes to fashion is Tsukasa Hojo (cuty hunter and cat's eyes) the detail he puts in clothing... and the way he draws bodies in general... love it
You’ve always got the fire drips. You have it on when you’re walking across the room. And you fill other people with it, because you remind them that they’re fly. Id love to see you on the rant cafe podcast talking about fashion in anime.
After years of ravaging through TH-cam algorithm suggested videos, it spit me out at the corner of the internet. It was well worth the struggle to find this diamond of a channel 💎
You may not have watched it but card captor Sakura had some great fits and almost every character had a distinct outfit each episode. Honestly, those girls probably had a larger wardrobe than I've ever had at any point in my life and it seemed to keep growing with every passing episode. Maybe it's it's just a rule of every magical girl anime to provide the characters with as much sause as possible.
my gf is a massive fashion nerd and ik they take a lot of their inspiration in how they dress from anime, especially nana. def recommending ur channel to them now :)
I had to come back and watch this after I got back from vacation. This is so well made, man. Beautiful video. Your passion shines through, and your knowledge of it is actually pretty impressive. Watching Bleach 100% influenced my fashion style, and still does to this day! My favorite jacket looks just like Ichigo's jean jacket with the white fur. I get complimented on it all the time too. Thanks Kurosaki.

That’s a great mix of brands ! Bet it looks great!
@@InternetPitstop I don’t want to brag but it does! I finally feel like my style is my own
FUCKING LOVE NANA
@@orange1293 me too!!!
Bleach deserves it's own category. The diversity in each individual characters' fits is extensive.
Yusuke Urameshi with green jacket, yellow sweater and red plaid shirt is THE GREATEST
It’s THE LOOK bro
@@InternetPitstop it hit me like truck, just now - you haven't said anything about lovely grim reaper - Botan. I get it, dude talking about dude fashion that we could emulate, but she had some tremendous looks like one where she run around with baseball bat killing demon bugs with that jacket, or her traditional oriental dresses, or one with suspenders .... i could go on and on xd
I love the fashion in NANA, just immaculate punk fashion ❤
I ALWAYS LOVED the fashion in Yu Yu Hakusho and all of Amyzawa's works
I didnt know I could adore Sailor Moon more than I do now! Subbed.
i was just looking for something to have in the background, but i binged all of your videos in 1 sitting, and this one sticks with me the most
it started with black butler, then jojo's. the characters just looked good and i couldn't tell why, to the point where i thought for the first time i questioned my sexuality. I thought to myself "why does X character look so damn good" and one day it clicked... The Trash Taste boys in their jojo's suits
I started buying up all the dress shirts and suits i could find (that fit me) at thrift shops and anywhere for cheap, without going the full mile of just clean cut, businessman suit, short slick hair. I found my own look that im happy with and can say is "my style"
When you feel good in your own clothes, it helps you feel better being you. It gives a confidence boost, much like a construction worker putting on his hard hat, he knows who he is for today.
Also fun fact, the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho is married to the creator of Sailor moon
Your Yu Yu Hakusho takes are absolutely fire
One thing I have to say about clothing and style; making sure it fits your body proportions, and your body shape, is what will elevate any look. The great thing about drawing is that all clothes will look good on your characters because you can change the proportions, or the fit, of the clothes to make it work, while in real life you need to go to a tailor or seamstress to get that same effect. Also, shoes are super important.
Not to mention skin color. Alot people get offended by this and say wear whatever you want... yes you can you can look good but you look _better_ if you fit it to your proportions and color
Man, if this channel doesn't blow up in the future I don't know what is.
Seriously, your videos are amazing!
This is my dream video. No one ever talks about men’s fashion in art but it’s one of my favorite things about anime. I enjoyed this video so much.
Never has a video made me want to be friends with someone so bad
Aw thanks man lol
YOU ARE SERIOUSLY SO UNDERRATED. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO STOP GRINNING SINCE I STARETED WATCHING YOU
10:09 When sailor moon started my little gay, fashion obsessed heart gave up the ghost.
Aww hell yeah, that Yusuke fit tho!!!! Clean AF!!!!
Thank you my guy you know the wave 🌊
I was screaming jojo at the screen and was half way through thought it was going to have it's own video but i'm so glad it got into this one.
New Internet Pitstop video, this day is already a 10/10
Thank you for always supporting, raphi 🌊
I can't fully express to you the Joy I feel when you pull out an anime or old xbox game that I thought for certain only 8 people in a reddit forum knew.
Pronouncing Tite Kubo as Tight Kubo is actually correct because his fits are tight as fuck
I don't know why the algorithm is just serving me this now but its everything. This guy gets it.
Ocean Waves totally changed my mind about fashion. There I said it!
After watching it the first time, i rewatched again just to appreciate the different clothing style EVERYONE had. And I cant say I copied some styles lol
Yes, I watch your videos religiously and endlessly. I forgot how many times I’ve seen this, but I never get bored of it!
Bleach creator has some of the best fashion design ive seen idk why no one gives him a chance in the fashion industry i would love to see his visions in real life
Not only is the drip AMAZING in this video, the editing is radiating the same energy!
Dude I am already a footwear design intern. HOW HAVE YOU MADE ME MORE INTO FASHION??
Bro you had 300+ subs making this 11 months ago and now you’re at 73k that’s insane! Good shit man 🙏🏼
How are you the only person who can pull off an anime look and make it look good out of the picture. Impressive. You’ve made me want to get into both
I was literally yelling jojos at you the whole video until you said exactly that, I mean the jojos gucci collab is what got me into fashion in the first place
This video is exactly what I needed to get back into building outfits
The first fit reminded me of something yusuke would wear too
I Like that you did his fit too
Fashion is a JoJo reference was such a godly line. I'm into fashion and drip but too lazy and slightly chubby to pull it off, but you might have inspired me to at least try. -Subscribed-
Bro go for it!
i was so ready to rage about bleach not being included but it was mentioned after all and i was very pleased😭
The perfect merger of fashion and animation. You killed this video bro.
My favourite mangaka when it comes to fashion is Tsukasa Hojo (cuty hunter and cat's eyes) the detail he puts in clothing... and the way he draws bodies in general... love it
I love the Cat's Eye fits!
I love this video so much that I didn’t skip any second of it
Thank you for reaffirming my fashion icon NANA (the punk side tho I dress as both). Love the video
The world needs more of this good sauce
Amazing jojo poses but im MAD that u didnt do the josuke ones. also WHERE DID U GET THE GREEN JACKET 4:26 YOU ROCK THAT FIT SO IMMACULATELY
I’m sorry lol and it’s from jacketscreator.com
@@InternetPitstop bless
You’ve always got the fire drips. You have it on when you’re walking across the room. And you fill other people with it, because you remind them that they’re fly.
Id love to see you on the rant cafe podcast talking about fashion in anime.
I have always loved anime/manga fashion. Bleach is a great example of fashion in manga, as the splash panels are full of street style looks.
I'm late, but no one pointed out the fact you used the tekken character customization music all over the video, and I love it!
Dude just hit me with some anime Ted talk.
I’ll have to bring out the black turtle neck next time
It’s crazy how similar your tastes and thought processes are to mine, going through all your videos really feels like you’re reading my mind
Thank the TH-cam Gods for blessing me with vid! You just got yourself a new subscriber
Thx bro!
Bro I keep coming back to this video I just love it so much and love seeing someone else talk about the two things I’m so passionate about
Dude the thought that someone comes back multiple times to a video I made is so genuinely amazing to read thank you so much !
I dont watch anime but i love your videos but I love that Jolene's fits are directly inspired by the woman who wrote her namesake, Dolly Parton.
Maybe it's it's just a rule of every magical girl anime to provide the characters with as much sause as possible.
so you talk about fashion, anime and gaming
just hammered that sub button
No shit i like u. Keep it up man ur wonderfull.
my gf is a massive fashion nerd and ik they take a lot of their inspiration in how they dress from anime, especially nana. def recommending ur channel to them now :)
Bro.. the music choices in this video 👌🏼
Thank you bro! I put a lot of time into that
@@InternetPitstop yessir top tier music..you have great music taste
4:05 this tierlist is the closest thing to perfection I have ever seen, I dont think I disagree with a single placement. Absolutely sensational
