I really like the badminton idea. I think it could’ve worked if you made it similar to the Floette line where instead of harnessing the power of plants it collects these feathers from great bird Pokémon it admires to harness the power of the Flying Type. You could make it a three stage line to mirror that of the Floette line and have the final stage, like Florges, become one with the birds and grow to resemble the great birds they admired with shape akin to a bird’s head. Some of these Pokemon could work well if they were in a Legends game that takes place in a historical version of the region. Gillee could be an inspiration for a regional Finizen and Mossimha for a regional Meowscarada, and the regional Meowth and Nickit line being reused for ancient Devhar.
I think the badminton pokemon should be called Shuttlfluttle and it collects the feathers to both scar predatory pokemon by making them think that they are in a different pokemons territory and for attracting other Shuttlfluttle with brilliant dance displays that shows off the feathers they collected. As for an evo, maybe one that based on a fast moving bird that is extremely territorial that swoops in to protect bady pokemon or give Shuttlfluttle a flocking form similar to Wishiwashi's schooling form that looks like a terrifying Rocket Bird.
Honestly, I think that the Cubkin line would work as a three-stage line you found in the early or mid-game, especially since you only have two completely new "unconventional" three-stage lines (Pangrudge and Queendache lines) in Devhar.
One of the first fakemon I designed for my own region was a grass-type cat starter inspired by Scottish wild cats and pine trees (this was before Sword/Shield were announced so it was originally going to be in a region based on Scotland). Its final stage took inspiration from the smilodon (sabre-toothed cat) and temperate rainforests (there was a whole thing about the starters representing very rare, endangered habitats of Scotland - temperate rainforests, coastal dunes, and peat bogs). When Galar was first shown, I was a little disheartened but figured I could either move my region or make it a continuation of Sword/Shield's Crown Tundra. And then they came out with the spriggyboi, so I decided to come up with an entirely new region and starters, which meant a lot of my other concepts got scrapped too. Honestly, I'm sure we've all had our fair share of coincidences when it comes to fakemon or character designs and then Pokémon announcing an exceptionally similar concept.
You should of kept Mossimba, have it be trapped in a wall somewhere and awaken it with a flute because my jojo loving brain heard its origins and thought ah yes the pillar men
I could probably share some of my fakemon, like a fire rodent thing that gets infused with ghost energy, a water lizard that becomes a hydra, a grass monkey that becomes a robot, a mammoth fossil that's a hill, a t-rex fossil that's a comet, etc.
To be fair, Pokemon itself has like 2 different Fire Monkey evolution chains, several electric Mouse Pokemon (Pikachu clones anyone?), a bunch of birds, butterflies, moths, and dragons. I feel like the Meowth-line and the Gillee-line line could still exist Chien-pao and Finizen and Palafin, they’re designs are different enough that I wouldn’t even think about it too much, but it was your choice to make, and I can understand your reasons. I particularly like mossimha, It’s concept is very good. I think you should bring it back as a standalone mythical or something. I feel like it’s too good of a concept to pass up.
0:47 I'm pretty sure that's just a coincidence because, well regional forms, or type changing forms in general, weren't a concept when meowth first came out, and the types of the two canonical meowth regional forms are dark and steel, two types that debut AFTER gen 1, so to me, a fairy type meowth is more likely, honestly "being weak to fighting" is a trait I associated with the regis (pre gen 8) over the meowths.
That was Amazing, Brandon. For your next Video can you give Sinnoh Starters new types like: The Piplup line as a Rock Type, The Chimchar line as a Electric Type, & The Turtwig line as a Ghost Type. What do you think about these Ideas, Brandon?

Chien-Pao can’t have convergent mons. Convergent mons need to evolve into a similar form to an existing Pokemon species and Chien-Pao isn’t a species, it’s a pile of snow controlled by a sword filled with malice. Its only relatives are the other treasures. There’s no possible way for Chien-Pao to have a convergent mon or relative that isn’t another treasure.
Actually while the original Pokémon doesn’t have to be a species, the convergent Pokémon can be. It simply has to be a species that evolved traits similar to Chien Pao It’s a sword full of malice but that malice chose the shape of a snow-dwelling cat and still acts like one! I doubt gamefreak would ever actually make a convergent based on myths/legends though lol
Can please add the badminton pokemon 1st and 2nd designs and the rocket ship. Also if this was a real pokemon game I would totally catch them. And the badminton one can have different forms.
Dudeeee 1st- That feather pokemon looks sooooo good! I love it, would use it, and it can still work! Just like Honedge, Doublade, Aegislash, you can totally still use it! 2nd- I would totally use Mossimah Maybe it can still be used?
For that feather collecting Pokemon, I feel like it could have worked. I don't know about the name, but for a Pokemon dex, make it a Pokemon that wants to fly like the bird Pokemon. And if it does evolve, I see it turning into a feather duster then evolves into a witches broom. You could even make it a bug type. A grub that collected feathers in hopes it can fly. Then evolves into a bigger bug that looks like a feather duster. Then finally evolves into a flying stick bug broom.
I really think you can keep the meowth forms. Yours look different and Chien-Pao is a legendary so you will hardly see it. I honestly think having a consistent ice cat is really nice and your designs are lovely.
Badminton baby looks so sad in the thumbnail. How could you!? I actually really like the design for it too. But hey if you couldn't flesh it out as much as you want, then I'm not gonna fault you for it. Honestly, if i had to come up with a story for that myself, then I'd make it so it collects feathers to attract a mate or something similar. And you could keep it a single stage. Idk what id name it though either.
I like Gillee & Suswim designs which honestly you can maybe do a altercation not making it a dolphin while as for Turbancha being psychic makes sense since one there was a study to see of snails can have a telepathic abilities snail telegraph & can kind of be a reference to hypnotic snails (I know it’s a parasite that controls the snail)
I also threw away a fake pokemon concept that i like for a long time. It was a evolution for sudowoodo. I called it indenitree i believe. I looked like a mix between a pine tree with the face from the sorting hat in harry potter and had rock like roots to symbolize that yes its roots are a rock type pokemon but it wants to be a grass type.
Those scrapped pokemons of your's will be fit in my fan made pokemon game "Pokemon Duneberry" The "Duneberry" word is actually my own color name, well the color is mixed with purple and lime colors, I mix it and shake it in the Paintshaker machine
atlesset should be bug fighting, as regular rellor changes it's none bug typing when evolve. Fighting I feel like makes the most sense now, as you could say it takes a fighters strength to carry that boulder
Keep the Mossimha line please!!!! It might definitley look like Spirigatito but it is too amazing to discard. You can like make them sort of friend or rival for the grass starter!!!
I really like Gillee and suswim, and the dehvarian meowth And the evolution is really cool, I wish that it made the final videos. I want all of these pokemon were real
1:10 the day before Terastallized pokemon where revealed I maid a gimmick that pokemon could change their type with magic rocks. So I'm in the same boat as you.
they said that the treasures of ruin were imported into paldea from a distant land in their lore, so that means that they probably are from a china inspired region that hasnt been revealed to us yet thats gonna come some time in the future
Probably a dumb observation, but Suswim looks a bit like an icthyosaur to me. If you were to flip its tail so that it swung from side to side, you'd have a viable fossil pokemon, maybe an ancient ancestor to finizen and palafin
I think you still could have added Shawllusk and Turbancha, they are still different enough from Spidops evolution. I also really like the regional Nickit and Jackul.
For when the dlc comes out for Devhar, how about putting Gillee, Suswim, Shawlusk, and Turbancha in it? Even though Finizen and Palafin came out, Gillee and Suswim can be a river dolphin Pokémon while Finizen and Palafin are bottle nosed or striped dolphins which live in saltwater.
The Meowth and Persian are cool Gilee so so silly and I love it Suswim being a werid little guy is neat. Unnamed dumpling is cute at least Sprigatito NOOOO. We were robbed of Cubkin 😩😭
Badminton pokemon could've been called shuttle flock and collected fethers as a was to blend in with bird pokemon hatchlings as it could work similar to coocoo birds with parents leaving other birds to raise the babies and some of the fethers are from the parents
I know how you feel about the Grass cat. I had to fall back and make a new Grass starter for my region based on Israel. I wound up with a jumping spider named Sprouder.
Whaaaaaaat nooo! That Ice noodle is always in my mind closer to a weasel or stoat than a snow leopard and c'mon it's not really a leopard its just bunch of snow shaped like that around a broken sword. Besides, we got Tauros and Bouffalant, and Luvdisc and Alomolmolamomala. Your regional Meowth would've fit right in.
I think the Gillee isn't too similar to Finizen. I also didn't let Sprigatito ruin my plans but I really like the Sishrub line a lot more so fair enough

Shallusk is so cute! I understand why you didn't want to turbine pokemon but i still love their designs!
02:38 Gleek from DC Super Friends reference in a Pokemon video who saw that coming
I’m not the only person who knows who Gleek is right now
Meowth was perrrfect
Abandoned but not forgotten (this is where epic boss music plays)
Great video ✨
I really think you can keep the meowth forms. Yours look different and Chien-Pao is a legendary so you will hardly see it. I honestly think having a consistent ice cat is really nice and your designs are lovely.
7:38 The original grass starter. Looks like a regional mouwth
This is the earliest ive ever been to a video :D
It's a shame that some of these ideas were scrapped, they were solid concepts to explore.
I love the cover with the trashbin😂😂😂
Those scrapped pokemons of your's will be fit in my fan made pokemon game "Pokemon Duneberry"
The "Duneberry" word is actually my own color name, well the color is mixed with purple and lime colors, I mix it and shake it in the Paintshaker machine
I'd keep the Meowth and Persian line, their concepts are too perfect (and they're very pretty)
I do wish the little badminton guy would get a role/fleshing-out. They're so cute!!!
Am i the only one who liked his original background
atlesset should be bug fighting, as regular rellor changes it's none bug typing when evolve. Fighting I feel like makes the most sense now, as you could say it takes a fighters strength to carry that boulder
I think the Meowth and Persian forms are different enough from Chien-Pao. They also are better designs then Chien-Pao too tbh.
Keep the Mossimha line please!!!! It might definitley look like Spirigatito but it is too amazing to discard. You can like make them sort of friend or rival for the grass starter!!!
Snow Leopards are my fav big cat!!! I was also a little disappointed in their representation in S&V
This region is amazing! As an Indian I love all the research you put into it! Can't wait for more updates on this!!!❤
I really like Gillee and suswim, and the dehvarian meowth
And the evolution is really cool, I wish that it made the final videos. I want all of these pokemon were real
Massimha looks like the vampire king from Adventure Time and I don't know whether thats a bad or good thing.
bro the persian look like chien-pao, like they almost look identical, except the fangs.
And they don't have as many spots.
That's literally the reason why it got scrapped
Nooooooo, really? 🙄
it looks different enough, chien-pao is snow in the shape of a feline, not a real one
chien pao is like, a curled up white cheeto with the ability to move smoothly XD@@allahnblitzer205
1:10 the day before Terastallized pokemon where revealed I maid a gimmick that pokemon could change their type with magic rocks. So I'm in the same boat as you.
For another region, you should make a rock type meowth that is a literal "mountain lion"
they said that the treasures of ruin were imported into paldea from a distant land in their lore, so that means that they probably are from a china inspired region that hasnt been revealed to us yet thats gonna come some time in the future
5:02 Badmaero and shuttasphere
For when the dlc comes out for Devhar, how about putting Gillee, Suswim, Shawlusk, and Turbancha in it? Even though Finizen and Palafin came out, Gillee and Suswim can be a river dolphin Pokémon while Finizen and Palafin are bottle nosed or striped dolphins which live in saltwater.
Maybe pokemon watched your videos and were like: hmmm lets use this to make the actual pokemon!
The badminton pokemon shouldn’t be scraped I love him
The Meowth and Persian are cool
Gilee so so silly and I love it
Suswim being a werid little guy is neat.
Unnamed dumpling is cute at least
Sprigatito NOOOO.
Hi PragMagik, is there a place where you can see all the designs in the Devhar region? Awesome job!!!
NO SHAWLLUSK AND BADIMY 😭😭😭
oh i really liked the badminton second design an im curious will you re do the concept later?
I LOVE CUBKIN!!! CURSE YOU SPRIGATITO FOR TAKING THIS ADORABLE CAT FROM ME
If there was a design you would i guess”bring back” which one you bring back
Whaaaaaaat nooo!
