Murphy is such a sweetheart 🤙🏽🌺😎
Speaking of ticks... What flea and tick treatment do you recommend for dogs and cats? And do you recommend any natural remedies that actually work? Because I really don't want to use those harmful chemicals on my pets. 11:26
Does someone take the high velocity dryer to you and these big grooming jobs. You were covered in Murphys hair.
Omg, you the boss, maximus would not let me shower him like that lol, and he is as big as that one, keep posting cause I need pointers, and please tell me how shower cats 🐈 😮
I love how they come out so much fluffier, like they've gotten bigger, when the reality is they've lost enough fur to make another dog 😂
Lol
LOL So real
It's like magic 😂
Yep, they can loose enough for a couple of dogs almost every day.
i love the singing Huskies
One day you have an unhinged malamute, the next day you have a dopey pyrenees
The day to day life of the girl with the dogs!
A mostly chill Pyreness is groomer rehab after that dramatic operatic diva husky
I thought it was an Alaskan Malamute?
I beg to differ. The Great Pyrenees are never dopey. They are very intelligent. If you have never had one, you wouldn’t know that tho. So I forgive you. 😂
@@aleasha.k.b it was a Malamute, yes.
Is it me or did this sweet, floofy boi have double dewclaws on each of his rear paws?
One of my college profs ha a Great Pyr, who would casually wander around the class, stuffing her giant Pyr head into student’s laps. If you were stressed, Stella would find you. If we were all ok, Stella would sleep on her back, paws aloft, gentle snoring. I do not remember the professors name, but i remember Stella!
That would ensure I made it to every class early lol
@@jazwhoaskedforthis I would never learn anything though, lol
@@GeekGamer666Well, if it was advanced calculus then probably not ^^but for a more humanist subject like languages, literature, philosophy, even biology - it could work..I hope. I took one of my dogs with me to law school classes because they ran well into evening and my mom couldn't carry him downstairs to pee. I hope I didn't sabotage anyone's education with his cuteness and smol snores 😂
That is AMAZING.
What a perfect name for such a dog too. I can just see that.
Murphy is a really well behaved gentleman. He has such an expressive face and calm temperament. I love him.
I agree 🥹💙
@@MessagesFromAurora. me too ,just fabulous ❤
He is such a cute sweet natured fluffy cloud ❤
Great Pyrenees are the best. Shoot, just about every dog is wonderful, but GPs are, to quote Cartman, "super sweet!"
My favorite part is when they are prancing around the yard in the sunlight and realize "Hey, I am feeling pretty good!"
I'm jealous. This pup got the equivalent of a triple shampoo a massage, a mani/pedi and some talk therapy!
😂❤
I fostered a GP named Murphy. He was a mix with a rough collie (which is my breed) but literally the only indication he was a mix was his coloring. Everything from physical to personality was GP. He came to me at 40 lbs and left at 90 and still a little slim. He was one of the easiest fosters ever. Aside from learning he was allowed inside (where he behaved like a gentleman), that people did care to spend time with him, and teaching him that we don’t need to patrol the property at 3:00 in the morning, he was as perfect as a dog could be. It gave me a huge appreciation for the breed.
lol GP get a little addicting. That calm, sweet, gentle personality is really what most everyone really wants in a dog. But yeah, mine have to sleep in my room so they doesn't wake everyone up all night.
But you did need 3 am patrols and goodnight barks to the neighborhood. The 10 years we kept maremmas we never saw coyotes again. ( a maremma is basically a 2/3 size gp without the roaming tendencies)
I think the tick got stuck halfways to Murphy's skin and died of starvation😂...but seriously, what a sweet, adorable floof!
I can tell by the way he looks at you he really likes you.
there certainly was a lot of eye contact
But stupid
Vanessa is a dog whisperer. ❤️
Murphy is maybe the calmest dog I've seen you groom. What a good boy!
she needed a quite day after that demon possessed Malamute 😂
My hound would have sat down and had his bath. That is what he always did for a bath.
I think Kuma was calmer, not even one bark. But he had an affair with the dryer 😂
🥰
She had a another dog a while back that was incredibly calm from beginning to end with no noise or anything. I forgot who it was but it was so cute
Guys please consider a senior doggy for a rescue! My pupper is 19, blind, deaf, and wears diapers for peeing. I know, I know!!! BUT…he still plays, bring joy to our lives, and just because he has some “difficulties,” we absolutely love him!!! Remember that all dogs require effort! Don’t assume that a senior dog is any less enriching than a new puppy. My dog as a puppy (my roommate’s coworker’s dog had an unexpected litter l so I got one so they didn’t have to go to a shelter) required WAY more work in regards to training and time as a puppy than he does as a senior even with all his “issues.” Give it a thought, for Solly my senior! ❤❤❤
I adore senior dogs. My childhood lab and and terriers both left too soon (for my heart) but they were just as cute and wonderful as blind, confused, poorly oldies as they were when they were puppies. I completely agree with you on how much a senior has to offer! ❤
Yes! They all start confused and peeing on the floor as puppies and go out peeing on the floor and confused as seniors. 😂 Well, humans start in diapers and end in diapers too!
@@michellerizzoandersen so true 😂
It's not always a suitable match but I'd encourage anyone who CAN adopt a senior dog to do so, especially if you know you can't commit the energy etc. for a puppy.
My "oldiest" whom I adopted at 14 years of age was an active, happy, alert dog right until his last months when he had a stroke that we fought through and that made him require more care. Another oldie enjoyed balls and walks despite his joints holding on likely by sheer willpower, the only additional expenses being anti inflammatory and Librella injections (as joint support supplements and even hyaluronic acid injections and such are something all big dogs in risk of degenerative joint disease need as prevention). I only adopt seniors and "finders keepers" dogs and still, the most diaper experiences 😂 I have had was with a very young doggo who needed abdominal surgery out of nowhere.
What I'm trying to say in convoluted way is that with pets you ought to be ready for any level of medical care, young dogs aren't immune to falling ill. Senior pets require more often checkups and a bit more vigilance but unless they have very special needs, the care requirements aren't all that time consuming (keeping up the medication, being observant of any change in behaviour) up until the very end of life (and sometimes - not even then).
Life with seniors isn't constant sacrifice, drips and diapers- it's mostly joy, lower intensity exercise and hanging out together on the couch. Seniors are extremely good cuddlers and they are the most charming, grateful companions whose love makes you feel like you are on cloud 9. They are perfect for people who have no stairs and lower energy levels 😅
One slightly toasted marshmallow, please.
He’s a beautiful boy
💜💞💙
“Sometimes my lip get stuck on my teef, you think it looks weird but I can’t help it”
Teef means bitch in Dutch
that's going to be stuck in my head all day now (not that i mind cuz it's adorable LOL)
I saw a picture of an English Lab/Mastiff mix who had his lip stuck to his teeth. He looked so adorable and goofy that I instantly fell in love. His name was Lars and he was actually anything but goofy. He was only with us four years (he was 9 when we adopted him, and he lived to 13).
Puppy songs!
Reminds me of my
Leonberger...we call it "the Elvis"
Why must all the cutest breeds be high maintenance😭 Imagine being able to keep a great pyreneese, a husky and border collie in your studio apartment...Sigh, getting a big yard for my future dogs is my only motivation to become rich
I for sure wouldnt like to be neighbour to any of those breeds... Yes they are cute.. But GP barks at everything everytime they gets the chance, Husky will often Howl like crazy when you leave them even for a sec, and with BC you need them to have something to do if you dont want them to destroy your home when you are not there :)
Oh no no no don't even think of dogs in an apartment!! You'd for sure need to walk those dogs at least once a day for a long walk, and the border Collie would need agility training too. If you had a farm or ranch the Pyrenees would guard the perimeter. They'd get royally filthy but would get a swim in the pond once in a while.
I had two great Pyrenees indoors before we found a groomer when I would brush them it was literally like we were walking in the clouds because there was like 2 feet high of dog fur🤣 I also had to vacuum daily to keep up with it.
I do have to add though, they were the very best, most perfect dogs for kids. They loved children like no other dog I’ve ever had and they were so durable I think it’s because of the amount of hair that they had but especially my male dog, he would follow my daughter around like she was the Pied Piper. When my daughter was almost 3 taking a nap on the couch my female was laying of course right next to her on the floor and my daughter in her sleep rolled off the couch onto the dog, the dog didn’t even budge they actually laid there sleeping together afterwards.
@@jydeinden as much research as I did before I got my two great Pyrenees, somehow I missed that it was literally bred into them to bark. I tried everything. Then one of my daughters friends had mentioned how he loved to go into the bathroom, (we jokingly called it his room) my male great Pyrenees why didn’t I just put him in a time out I laughed at the moment and then later on I thought huh I wonder. I’ll be darned all I had to do was tell him to go to his room and he would go into the bathroom and close the door, not to worry because my female great Pyrenees knew how to open up doors so if he would bark or cry she’d let him right back out but it deterred him from the barking. He actually had a viral video on vine back in the day.
Your comment has suddenly made me realize why people continue to breed the hairless cat. 😂 I couldn't even watch that video, that cat creeped me out so much. Maybe you should start with a small furry animal for your studio apartment. Something like a hamster with a wheel in its cage.
To Mr. Murphy's Family Thank You for sharing your Sweet and Handsome Boy! Please give him so cuddles for me😁
And from me!
He is so beautifully behaved
He looked soooo depressed in the Happy Hoodie.
Then you hit that 'aah' spot with the dryer.
After that, he was in Nirvana.
I was surprised she had one that would fit him
Excellent transfer of floof from doggo to groomer 😜
Love that after you took the tick out, he nosed your head, almost to say thank you (or that’s what it looked like). Such a cutie
I thought he was smelling her hair 😂
He looked like a little old man in that hoodie.
"I'm going to power dry you for ten years." I Love Vanessa's gift for understatement.... ;)
I just want to snuggle this floof!! What a sweet boy!
Magnificent Murphy! I get non-shedding dogs now. He's gorgeous, but the upkeep surpasses my 70 years! 😆💕💕💕🐶
❤❤❤❤ I have three very 'sheddy' Huskies, I know exactly what you mean! They have two shedding 'seasons' one from January to June and the other from July to December, I swear!
I can definitely relate to that 😂I'm 61 and not in the best health, so I'll have to stick to short haired dogs
That face! Even when he tries to complain about something, he's adorable about it.
Ticks always make me think of my grandmother who could sit and have a casual conversation like it was luncheon while picking ticks off the dogs.
Hahah that is so funny to me 😭 your grandmother must of been so used to it that it was not a problem for her
Hey I resemble that remark lol 😅 ticks are casually removed here also ..
@@kianashea3195 What made it funnier to me is she didn't grow up in the country, but the minute she married my grandfather and moved to Missouri, she was willing to pick ticks, walk across fields to look at birds and let her children play in giant dirt piles left from when they built the house.
@@coyoteartist that is so sweet, she sounds like an amazing woman
@@kianashea3195 She was. Never got to go to college, but she could give an Literature grad a run for their money. I always joked she and my grandfather raised me as much as my parents even though being in Florida and then California we were always half country away so time was even more precious when I had it.
I love these dogs! Such gentle giants! A neighbor of mine had one, and every winter, Bella would blend in with the piles of snow. ❤
What gorgeous, good boy! Your hard work shows
I had one, my Great Saint. He was the best dog ever. The drooling was the only thing I hated. 😂
A gentle giant yes, loyal yes, but mine wouldn't hesitate to screw up your day if you are dumb enough to enter my house uninvited.
They are the absolute best dogs. Mine adored the snow and cold and would refuse to come in lol. I miss her every day. They are such gentle giants.
If Pyrenees had the temperment of a Chihuahua we’d be living in Planet of the Dogs. Fortunately they are good doggos!
Well, wolves and coyotes (if they're still alive) can tell not to mess with Pyrenees and their herd.
...because they have literally been bred for certain characteristics. Breed calm and friendly chihuahuas.
That is because chihuahuas were breed for food and not a specific temperament. Pyrenees were breed to be patient guard dogs.
@@helmaschine1885 Also, the fact that they're tiny doesn't mean you don't need to train them. I swear a huge part of their reputation is the fact that people find their antics amusing and encourage it, rather than correcting the undesirable behavior.
@@Narangarath This. I remember being shocked by how chill and friendly the chihuahuas were in a shop in Mexico that I visited and said as much. The shopkeeper responded to the effect of "you all just need to train them properly." And he's absolutely right. I would say start with the responsible breeders because doing so pays dividends: their well-trained dogs will discipline the puppies and give them a head start, and on down the line (or at least this was the experience I had with my parents' super friendly cats - they picked up their mother's temperament).
Such a soft little "but do we HAVE TO" - what a good and gentle boy! Clearly by the time you got to the second half of brushing-out he was feeling better. It's always so wonderful when the dogs realize "hey this is helping" and calm down a bit.
Beautiful! Made me miss my Sasha girl even more, again. She had the same coloring. She's been gone for 18 years now, but she was my sweet girl, raised my kids, my youngest was 3 when she went. He was the saddest little boy, he kept asking for his Sasha 😭💔 thank you for sharing this beauty.
Mine is gone 2 years still very hard Murphy had a similar look. Good boy! They r sweeties …. IF brought up correctly ,
Oh gosh why do you dog people make me cry a little with your sweet stories of love? Too bad I can't stop reading them! 😪🤗
Great Pyrenees are such lovely dogs, as livestock guardian breeds tend to be. Murphy is just a big baby, but thankfully not being stubborn
Ohhhh my fluff, looks like he was attacked by an army of shaving cream 😳 😊
He’s so calm and doesn’t seem to mind the blower. He actually likes it on his chest. It must itch there. He’s beautiful. Great job!
He's a sensitive, lovable, sweetie pie who cries when you say get down, you're not in frame. 😅🥰 He must be very, very loved at home where he gets nothing but hugs, kisses, and praises such that the slightest negative tone makes him sad.
They are actually a very sensitive breed. My groomer warned me my guy was very sensitive. I didn’t believe him until I stubbed my toe and was yelling and cursing at myself(not him). My poor big guy ran to his room like he was in trouble. Obviously I gave him lots of kisses, cuddles, and treats.
😂I will never get over the bonnet on the Great Pyrenees, I get such a laugh out of it, it’s ridiculously hilarious. Thank you!🤣
I haven't seen a giant dog cry like that since I told a Rottie/Bullmastiff he couldn't sit on my lap.
Murphy looked so sad in the Happy Hoodie. Murphy was laid back for such a big dog with a lot of fur. He turned out gorgeous.💕😍✂️🐾
he looks so concerned when you said his back end was matted! 9:21
That look of concern 😂😂😂
Idk why she's so hardly brushing the matting poor boy is crying 🥺🥺🥺
Murphy was an extremely good boy, and a a very handsome pup too. I hope this is the start of another run of extra floofy white dogs and their impressive furnadoes
He just smiles as you tell him he’s a mess, one big mess. If puppers could laugh, he’d be cackling!
If you have a group of textile artists/spinners & weavers in your area, they might be interested in taking for of the longer dog hair fibers. Apparently, socks made from it are very warm.
In the 60s my aunt knit a sweater from her Samoyd fluff! Dog undercoat fur has been used for thousands of years! A friend knit many pairs of socks from her shedding Shetland pony!
@@impunitythebagpussA Shetland pony isn’t a dog, though. They also don’t have long hair.
Google “Nine Lives Twine.” Can’t recommend Teresa, the owner, highly enough. I sent her several cardboard boxes of tightly packed combings from three of my Samoyeds. I’d collected the fur over about 7 years. She sent me back the most beautiful yarn I have ever seen. She knows all about what thickness of yarn to spin for different kinds of projects. Also, the dog hair fibers are short, so they have to be spun with another type of long fiber to be strong enough for the yarn not to break easily. She did half of mine with white Merino wool, and it just looked like all Samoyed yarn. The other half she spun with white bamboo fiber, which gave it a subtle sheen . Beautiful. I have a scarf, a hat, and a couple of lap blankets from my beloved dogs. They make me very happy.
Teresa is easy to work with. She sent me short samples of the yarns to approve before she started spinning. I think she’s in Pennsylvania. My yarn arrived by mail in California. She does cat hair, too!
This is not an ad. I’m just a satisfied customer.
Shetlands actually have quite shaggy hair. Also their manes and tails are long.
I love that about giants - they are calm and have a blast with their surroundings
That dog is so massive, he doesn't have paws, he has HOOVES! Can't believe the size of some of those dogs. Amazing when you look at all the breeds.
That's what I was thinking, too. He has paws the size of a bear. Vanessa looks like a 5 year old beside him 🐻❄
Vanessa posted this video of Murphy an hour ago, according to TH-cam, and as I'm watching the furnado, the view count keeps ticking: Now 15,984 views in an hour!!! The same amount of time it took to blow dry his coat. What a following she has, and it's so well-deserved.
"Okay Murphy, are you ready to blow up the shop?"
🤣🤣🤣
Teef. He’s just smiling and seems to be enjoying himself.
What a big, sweet, huggable dog!
I've watched you for a long time. This video is the first I've felt compelled to comment on. This sweet soul is an exceptional dog. His eyes show so much emotion, love and sweetness.
An exceptional soul!!
Murphy is well-behaved and he looked so gorgeous when the grooming was all finished, His owner must have been so delighted when he/she came to pick him up. I know Murphy was very tired of standing and probably went home and took a nap!! 😊😊Great job Vanessa!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He's so handsome 😍
My daughter has a Murphy and she is totally black and the biggest puppy ever. She wants to be a mother to every animal and thinks she's a lap dog 😊 such a wonderful temperament and always well behaved
Murphy has a wonderful disposition❤😅
How cute is he watching you 🥰 Murphy the big beautiful teddy bear
Congrats on the fund raising, awesome results!
Murphy is such an adorable pupper.
"I must be seen by the camera" - Probably, Murphy
It would be so cool if you have your own merch line for "Pet washing clothes" with witty sayings and what not !
"You've got me soaked." Is possible the most said phrase. 🤣
She just said 'I'm completely covered in his hair' as I was reading this comment 😂
You big hairy beast...or good BOOY! GOOOD BOOY!!
“Furnado time” would be a good one
He is closing his eyes and hopes it all goes away……like a dream. Nope…..still here. He is a nice boy. You made him gorgeous.
You need to find someone who spins and weaves. All that dog hair from long-haired breeds like Murphy would make fluffy warm blankets!
Murphy makes the drying table look tiny!
He's the sweetest mess ever!!!
Such a bright and beautiful cloud at the end! He's a lot of work, but the best boy he can be.
That’s one chill dude xxx
yessss he is a great, pyraneese. A very good boi. So cute!!❤❤❤
Murphy turned out beautiful and fluffy! Totally hugable!!! Good job!!!
"I am soaked. You have completely soaked me." Murphy glances over "Sorry not sorry." 😂Murphy is such a sweetheart 🤍
There is nothing like a pyr. NOT for everyone. But just amazing dogs. They do not come when called. They only listen if they agree with you. They do not do tricks( rarely) …. But the love is ‘beyond’!
My grandmother had one that threw down with a bear and won.
Total truth!
Amazing the owner didn’t think he wouldn’t be as difficult this time. I’ve had a similar thought with my goldens. The ones I think are not so bad, take the longest to groom
Beautiful and well behaved dog ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Blowdrying a shedding Murphy is like making cotton-candy on a windy day; it gets EVERYwhere! 😂❤
What a pretty dog. ❤ Also, I like how Candians say the word "sorry". 🙂
Murphy: Why do you call me a Wiener? How do my long legs make me a Wiener?
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😆😆😆
So good even during the challenging “back end” brushing.
Murphy: I'm supposed to be a mess, and yes, I don't care. 😌 Beautiful boy.🩵
I have been watching this channel for a few months. This seemed to be the most well-behaved dog I have observed thus far. 😁
My favorite & calm dog is Princess Smoochie, a big beautiful king shepherd. Never made a peep for her almost 3 hour groom! 😊
@@SusieWebster-wo5vo Ah ya, now that you mention it, I remember that one too.
Also, that female Rottweiler she had on a while back, she was pretty chill too.
Find videos of Kuma, the late but incredibly great American Akita! He was the best boy, I miss him so much on this channel.
@@SusieWebster-wo5vo princess smoochie was the first one I watched!
Love watching! Good luck in the fund-raising…Wish I could give more.
What a good boy! Murphy
What a great personality!! He’s so regal looking!!❤️
Such a cute big floofmeister
He's standing there while being brushed like "am I a mess??? 🥺"
Wow you have raised so much thats amazing ❤
I've always had a bias towards totally white Pyrenees dogs, but my goodness, Mr. Murphy is a looker for sure! ❤
My badger faced female is such a sweetie and I love her coloring too. My male is white with cream areas on his head and back.
Murphy's such a good boy.😊
Murphy: (back end being blow dryed) lady, can you not film this part and leave me some dignity?
You turned Murphy into a fluffy cloud! What a beauty! Lovely disposition. . .
He is a beautiful dog!!😍
Such an adorable face! He is so handsome!
Oh I luv dis gentle giant!!
What a beautiful dog. And very well mannered. ❤
I love how gentle and good he was for you, unlike that Malamute from yesterday. Yikes what a big difference. Murphy was so handsome after you groomed him. Way to Rock Vanessa ❤❤❤❤
What a transformation! Vanessa, he's absolutely gorgeous! ♥♥♥
He now glows in the sunshine
Oh my gosh! Murphy is the very essence of CHILL! He's so cool with everything. He's a big, beautiful puffball!! ❤❤❤
I had a GP/border collie cross growing up and we had a soul connection.Thankfully he loved being brushed, so in the summer he would lay sprawled on our lawn (trying to fit as much of his body into my lap as possible) and I'd brush him out, building a fortress of fur piled all around us. I miss him so much.
The swishing of his fluffy tail reminds me of plume fans used by medieval aristocratic women.
Such a good Boy! ❤
Murphy's coat is glorious! And he's such a patient boy. 💗
6:03 Murphy sporting the not-so-happy-hoodie 😂 bless his heart ❤❤
He's a beautiful dog
Murphy is a beautiful and sweet boy❤
I have two Pyrs who have been groomed from 2 months, through puppyhood, and then seasonally since they officially blew their first coat. Our groomer earns EVERY PENNY she gets, plus the fat tip! We are so, so grateful for her. 🙌🏻 Murphy reminds me why, and such a good boy, considering how patient he needed to be for that marathon. 💙 Super handsome, too!
love love love the pyrs
What a sweet boy!!
My Pyrenees mix does this and she is the cutest thing ever omg 😭💚💙💜
Ugh, he has no business being so gorgeous.
