I have a saint Pyrenees and I knew I wouldn't be able to fight him at 100 lbs so I bathed him aaaall the time as a puppy and thank God it worked he's great with it now jumps in and out of the tub and everything. Don't talk to me about his nails though...
@@spicencens7725 I feel horrible for saying this but I used one once and it immediately got wrapped in his fur.... And he hated the sound anyway. We've devised a system where he lets us clip a couple every couple days lol and that's usually enough to stay on top of it.
@tammydawson280 Lol! Dogs and cats really do make it sound like you're trying to kill them with routine care, but will almost off themselves willingly while playing. Too much! 😄
I ended up getting mine done at Petco. I tried to do it at home since she was 8 weeks old. Neighbors thought I was abusing her. Then it became a Murder scream. I ended up letting everyone know that I was trying to trim her nails. So embarrassing.
Btw, thanks for pointing out his body language. Some people don’t realize when a dog won’t look at you, and kinda stiffens up when you try to pet them - means don’t pet them.
We found a Rottweiler wandering up our street, toward a busy intersection. He was nervous & rather 'belligerent' while in our fenced yard, while we took pics & looked for the owners. After a couple of hours he was still dis-trusting & anxious. Then his 'Mama' came to get him-> He immediately turned into a giant, prancing, silly goofball as she harnessed him up and told him they were going home now. It was fun to watch that Beast turn into a puppy, instantly.
Totally different dog with his humans, haha He did allow more than I expected, these big dogs are so sweet he was having a protest but in a non aggressive manner.
It was so hilarious watching Brodie understand Vanessa and that he was in no harm, he's still a pup and yet has an amazing intellectual gaze. His eyes when Vanessa was drying him melted my heart. The owners reaction was one of the best now. Brodie the Brave. What a good boi!
No one has talked about this but as a furry friend owner, Our dogs who were pups at the beginning of Covid, they were not able to be "People exposure" trained. For 2 yrs, our dogs, at the prime training time of their life. were stunted. Made for Anxious, unsure, kind of loopy dogs.
My dog displays ALL the signs this dog showed. I thank you for commenting it so hard, so random people can learn how to recognise this kind of situations. You are the best
He definitely has the Great Pyrenees boop! Our Pyr boy is also distrustful of humans for about five or so minutes as he takes his time to size them up. Our Pyrenees girl, however, decides far more quickly, and she absolutely adores being groomed! You can brush and fuss on her all day and she is there for it! 😂 She is the epitome of the girly girl diva rockstar at the grooming salon.
He had that gorgeous Bernese chest. Congratulations on making it through the obstacle course. You got the mats, you got brushing, even his feet and he looks good.
What a handsome and floofy man dog Brodie is, and he did so well during his first time being professionally groomed. Thanks Vanessa and staff at Girl With The Dogs for the work you do. You're awesome. 😁🇨🇦
Thank you so much for showing more of the owners reaction after the groom❤ They cannot believe how BEAUTIFUL their fur babies look after you have done your magic🥰🥰🥰
Lol I swear I love your personality u are super funny the way u talk bout the dog animals and too them it's just so funny puts me in good mood watching these videos
Omg I have a soft spot for Pyrenees mixes! I have an Aussie/Pyrenees myself and she is beautiful. This gentleman is no exception!! One handsome man!❤❤❤
Another groom well done. Brody, like so many of your doggo clients, seems to sense and quickly pick up the confidence and gentle authority you feel and display, and decide you are not a threat. Very interesting watching this interplay.
@@ferretyluv I used a pair of crayons scissors to trim areas of too long fur on my dog once, it won’t look pretty but it’s not like it simply won’t cut unless it’s specifically made for cutting fur my guy
It's one reason I'm sad she doesn't do more pitty-types. I know they're short-haired, but the butt wiggles! Can't stop them from wiggle wiggle wagging all over the place.
Brodie is such a beautifully adorable dog. It was heartwarming to see how you won his trust and he got through his stranger anxiety. What a precious soul. ❤❤❤ Love the work you do! Thank-you.
It still gave me anxiety. Extremely dangerous with a nervous dog ... one flinch and you'll stick him, and if you nick the aorta he will be gone before you can look for something to press against the puncture. I'm sure she was really glad when that was done without a horrible accident.
Beautiful big baby! I always hope that although your clients are getting their dog (cat, pig!) groomed for free, that most of them show therir appreciate in some way besides their excitement when they see the transformation. You deserve so much for all the care, time and experienced skill you offer.
We have a Great Bernese too and he is JUST like Brodie! Doesn’t like new people, is very shy and skittish around them but with his people he is a big love bug and happy go lucky.
Your channel is so positive and loving. Your infinite patience and genuine humor is infectious.I always find hope and joy in myself and this world after watching your grooming adventures. My grandpa once told me “ when someone has found a career they love, they have already realized they can retire “ 🥰👍🙏❤️
This is one of my favorite grooms! Brody’s expressions were plentiful and charming. Looking at you like “What the fluff?!” the whole time. “I got a paw out the door lady” … Love it!! Kick sequence was great! 😂😂 He is such a beautiful boy, bet he is forgiven for everything. 😉 The transformation was incredible! ❤
That's an amazing dog. Big, beautiful and gentle. He's indeed really friendly, Though he didn't like being touched, getting wet, or hearing the shaver, he just gave side eyes, raised his paw, grimaced, instead of growling, baring his teeth or even snapping. He was like: "wait, let me tell you something..." 😅 He's a polite man, though, a real Gentleman.
My Ellie is mostly Bernese Mountain Dog and she acts the exact same way! Big Baby! ❤❤❤❤ He’s beautiful! I know he appreciates your patience and kindness.
0:46 I love the paw raise for "Hold on, we need to discuss this., please" 😂
Wait a fluffing minute 😂
Oh man I do the same thing !
I have a South paw too 😂🥰
let me tell you something !!!
My Pyrenees does the paw thing quite a bit. He just likes holding hands
The joyful bounces and leaps when he was reunited with his humans was the best!
"You won't believe what these humans did to me!"
I love it when dogs are so enthusiastic about wagging their tails that their entire butt wiggles. It's just the cutest thing.
@lilwyvern4 Same!
The entire body wiggles.😂
❤

I have a saint pyr as well, you would think I was murdering him trying to trim his nails... Love my fluff boy though
Have you tried using a Dremel? He might hate that snap sound of clippers.
My pups are much more tolerant than they were with clippers.

Outside of the furnados, I am surprised how much it amuses me when you sternly say”Sir.”
I love it when she says “Mr. Man.”
I like how he looked at the snack and went "That's too small to be food"😁
Btw, thanks for pointing out his body language. Some people don’t realize when a dog won’t look at you, and kinda stiffens up when you try to pet them - means don’t pet them.
well, yes! 😭
He was totally different when his owners arrived. What a cute doggo
Yep, what a nice reunion, everybody so happy to see each other.

Those Berner side-eyes are classic!

What a looker❤
Half the time his eyes were saying "I don't consent to this crap but I'm too good natured to do anything about" 🤣
Brodie loves his humans. He looks really proud of his groom. Very much a 'look at me mom, dad.' 😅
Brodie is a lefty, he keeps trying to bop you with his left paw 😂
He's a genuine "south paw"! 😂
He a soft artsy soul
He's doing a heckin brave
Yep!
That looks like a really great hug waiting to happen. Love the big fluffy ones.

Very good point. They were only exposed to their families during their early development so stranger danger is real with these Covid pups.
My dog displays ALL the signs this dog showed. I thank you for commenting it so hard, so random people can learn how to recognise this kind of situations. You are the best
9:29 Brave Brody ❤
This giant, gentle baby, aw. He just needed some time to find his Zen and he did pretty well in the end.
I'm glad you were insistent, but patient with him.

Brodie is adorable the way he tries to act indifferent. I want to give him cuddles.😊
He had that gorgeous Bernese chest. Congratulations on making it through the obstacle course. You got the mats, you got brushing, even his feet and he looks good.
What a sweetheart he is, not to mention drop dead gorgeous. Thanks for taking such good care of him!
What a beautifully behaved and very brave dog.
Ohhhh he's such a beauty. What a handsome good boy. You are so patient with him.
Another giant dog. Two huge breeds Bernese Mountain dog and Great Pyrenees.. Gottta love him, he turned out beautiful ❤️
It’s always the huge dogs who are scared of water. He’s too cute 🤣❤️

Brodie is a sweetheart with the most beautiful eyes. Not a fan of the clippers though bless him ☺️
Such a lovely temperment when he is nervous. Good boi!
Brodie is totally adorable!!! What a good boy he was for this being his first time!!!❤
"A brand new dog"!!!! The best compliment!!!
That end result was amazing. Great job Vanessa 👏
I love seeing the families reaction at the end!! So cute and heart warming !!
Thank you so much for showing more of the owners reaction after the groom❤ They cannot believe how BEAUTIFUL their fur babies look after you have done your magic🥰🥰🥰
Aww the reunion with his Humans! 🤩
Brody is ADORABLE. He's huge but a totally sweet boy. What a sweet heart
4:43 He is MORPHING his face inbetween his ears and the clippers!!! 😂 What a cute dorky boy. ❤
The reunions with the owners always make me so happy! ❤
Lol I swear I love your personality u are super funny the way u talk bout the dog animals and too them it's just so funny puts me in good mood watching these videos
Girl you have the patience of a saint! Beautiful work! 👍❤
Hands up if you cried at Brody reuniting with his peoples ✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️ Great job Vanessa and Brody❤️🐶
✋
✋️
Omg I have a soft spot for Pyrenees mixes! I have an Aussie/Pyrenees myself and she is beautiful. This gentleman is no exception!! One handsome man!❤❤❤
How does that even happen? An Aussie girl would be squished, but a boy would have to be on his toes.
@ferretyluv good question! I wasn't there for it but I'm sure it was a struggle 🤣🤣🤣
He’s got that karate side kick down Pat! 😂❤
What an adorable doof. 😊 He loved seeing his humans again! Brodie is a big ol sweetheart! 😊❤❤❤
Wow! What a difference. I love his parents' reaction. Good job, Vanessa. As always, your patience pays off.
Off the scale cuteness, in a jumbo package! Makes me wish I could still manage a big dog. Bravo for Brody !
Vanessa had me dying at “BABOON BUTT!” 😂😂
it definitely wasn't a phrase I was expecting to hear today! 😂
@@debjoy12 IKR, 😝 lol
You are doing such a great job of calming him. Absolutely freaking wonderful!
What a great mix hopefully he'll be healthier for it too
Another groom well done. Brody, like so many of your doggo clients, seems to sense and quickly pick up the confidence and gentle authority you feel and display, and decide you are not a threat. Very interesting watching this interplay.
He was so determined to hit with that paw, cracked me up Great job Vanessa and Brodie was very handsome 😊
I spotted the industrial size bottle of fluff off 1:25.!
That was the sweetest dog, human reunion at the end. He was so happy to see his family. 😊❤
The kung foo kick at 6:19 was hysterical the kung foo fighter song started playing in my and will probably be there for days.
Sir Brodie the Brave! Thank you!
He was so happy to see his humans!!!
I think he might be left pawed. He loved to lift that one.
You can see what a sweet boy he is, he's just nervous. Great dog.
You need a pair of the safety scissors that come in first aid kits. They cut really well and have blunt ends.
Trauma shears! Designed to cut off clothing without injuring a patient.
Those are for cutting clothes, not fur.

Brodie is a MASSIVE bundle of fur and fluff! He's absolutely beautiful!
Wow! Brodie is so sweet! He did so well , considering this is his 1st groom! What a sweetie!!
it looks so FLUFFY and HAPPY at the end
Aw....I love seeing the owner's reactions. So much joy! Great job!!
What a gorgeous doggie Brodie is!🥰
Enjoyed his groom. Vanessa!🌸
The best part of having a dog is the enthusiastic butt wiggles when you come home or in this case pick them up..... What a cutie...
It's one reason I'm sad she doesn't do more pitty-types. I know they're short-haired, but the butt wiggles! Can't stop them from wiggle wiggle wagging all over the place.
7:33 minecraft sounds 💀

Love the work you do!
Thank-you.
I used to work at a dog daycare and one of my favorite dogs was this same mix and they look exactly the same. So sweet and huggable
What a gorgeous giant! You did an awesome job, Vanessa, as usual.
My favorite is the owners reaction… I always get a little teary eyed
Lol you’re amazing at reading these animals.
I love seeing the owner's reactions.
Using those scissors to remove the mats behind his ears was pro-level 1,000!

giving a new meaning to gentle giant!
He has such an expressive face,
That’s a good looking domesticated bear!

Brodie doesn't subscribe to the 5 second rule for food.
