@@GenealCymruhello I’m welsh and proud of it yma o hyd
That loop was so smooth (also hello to all Williamses!)
Hehe thank you thank you. Shout out to all the Williamses, woo!
Agreed! I loved that loop!!! Seamless!
Thank you :D
Hello fellow williamses
Yes, amazing job on the loop! The Williams side of my family came from Cornwall, but Dydh da! to my Welsh namesakes.
My family's name, my family's coat of arms, traditions.... I've tried to bring new life to our fallen and forgotten lineage...and have not been very successful. Unfortunately the majority of my cousins are uninterested in our lineage, our history. I am of the family Blevins, a named that was modernized when my ancestors came by sea to the new world, our old surname was Bleddyn and we are descended from Maredudd Ap Bleddyn, former King of Powys in Eastern Wales.
My maiden name is Morgan. My gran was Beynon.
Owen
Oooh that's interesting. My friend is a Powell, or is it ap howell 😄
:D
Price from Ap Rhys
Thing is, I'm a Devonian
Ooh, I didn't realise Price came from Ap Rhys, makes sense now I see it!
If you are wondering what a Devonian is, a Devonian is a person from Devon, across the Bristol channel/Mor Havren, next to Cornwall, summerset and Dorset.
Ieuan Chinnock
Iean Chinnock
Mac or Mc
For someone with that accent you did really, really well with the pronunciation.
I have a Welsh, patronymic surname, but. I am Welsh, so no surprise.
Thanks. Luckily my Grampie was born in Cwmrhydyceirw and grew up in Llangyfelach, so I grew up with some good pronunciation practice. :)
@@GenealCymruYou speak so well!
I’m Welsh English and my last name is just fucking awful
Awe, I'm sorry you feel that way. The good news is that (depending on where you live) you can always legally change your surname if you want to!
Great visuals, supremely crisp and nice look at. How about Jenkins, came from John did it? John + kins , with kin being an old diminutive?
Thanks! It's been so long. Good to see you back! Hope things are going okay :) And you got it with Jenkins. I think in this video it'd fit into the "has an -s on the end" part.
