  • It's time to stop focusing on your weaknesses and think about what positive qualities you bring to the workplace. Lisa will compel you to take a look at yourself and give your best.
Lisa has delivered events to over 9,000 participants in 14 countries. She’s one of those unique MBAs who studies people even more than she analyzes numbers.
You can see her featured in places like Harvard Business Publishing, Training Magazine, and Forbes. She’s currently the CEO of a company called Lead Through Strengths.
She helps work teams boost their productivity by leveraging their strengths rather than focusing on fixing weaknesses and filling gaps.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Your humor, examples, and authenticity make this one of my very favorite TED talks. Thanks for giving us permission to appreciate ourselves for who we are, rather than beat ourselves up for who we are not.

What a gem Lisa! Energy.. writing it in the chat as a piece of paper is not an option (yet!) on youtube 😉

Her introduction was a bit harsh but I like her humor as well.

That was a crazy job. I agree that people to leverage their strengths and focus on what they are good at. I was focusing on my weakness for a long time and became a healthcare professional that I was just unhappy. And now I realized I need to really focus on what I am good at :) I hope everyone and get into a career with more fulfilment and income

Thanks Lisa! I appreciate you presenting this insight to playing to our strengths, instead of being primarily focused on weaknesses! When we use our top 5 - we are FAR more successful and FAR happier! The strengths finder is "mirror" in seeing our true skills and talents! And provides useful suggestions on how to best use those skills!

The ideas are good but as the comment below suggests, this is poorly-executed public speaking.
The structure of the talk is also poor.
I think one to one this lady could teach me a lot.
If she wants to reach out to me about speech-writing - here I am :)

I don't like the idea of just going around firing people it don't just increase unemployment it also increase poverty depending on the job market and the skills set of those being fired

Common sense but not common practice.
