True successor to the Yamaha NS1000 speakers.

Take the spikes that came with them to a big box store and ascertain their size/thread pitch. Then order same size casters to screw into the stands for a 3 inch lift. If you insist on plugging the ports use the included black plugs instead of rags. They work best with a 500 watt amp. I know. I own a pair.

hi. sorry for my ignorance. i'm very new to this audio world. do you have the Moonriver 404 ?. have you auditioned the NS 5000 with the YAMAHA equipment that are specifically made for them (the Pre C-5000 and the amp M-5000) ?. which of the 2 Brands do you prefer ?. than you.

Ooh a new video posted of these beauties. Tough competition at the price though, but there is just something about the look that keeps making me hunting for new videos. I'm mostly bothered by the slightly odd looking stands and the short height.
Yeah that remote sucks and would bother me too much. Maybe just get an all McIntosh system. Their remote is perfect and you know the big benefit would be that the black glass fronts plates of their components would match those piano black yamahas you've got ;)
