  • Every once in a while I like to make easy to follow tutorials.This album is 6 1/2 X 6 1/2 with pages that are 6X6. This is perfect for a beginner but it is also fabulous for someone who has to make several albums in a hurry. The albums in this series all have pages that you could use 6X6 paper, or cut down 12X12 paper. In this tutorial I show you how to make "L" pages with flaps and also how I decorated it. I do give measurements in the video, but there is not a cutting guide. Please grab a writing implement and a pad and write down the measurements as you go.
    I picked up this collection while I was in Utah at Country Craft Creations for a retreat. This exact paper collection is not available online, but the tutorial can be used for any collection. Gear it to your needs and desires.

    Here is my story: in 2019 I sold my house and everything in it and moved into a RV. The plan is to travel all over the US and enjoy the great outdoors with my husband. We chose a RV model that had an extra room with bunks, but instead of bunks I have a desk and drawers. It is a small craft room, but I enjoy crafting in between hikes.
    I love paper and enjoy making memory albums. Subscribe and join me as I craft my way around the US!

    I want to thank you so much for explaining what I call scrapbooking terms, i.e., burnishing, ephemera. this is a great beginner tutorial. Im not a beginner but I sure wish I knew all the terms when I started and the reasons behind why we do what we do...

      You are so welcome! I try to remember the things that I wanted to know when I was a beginner when I am doing these tutorials. I read my comments and learn from them. We all were a beginner at one time.❤️

    I love the L attachment! Make putting the pages in the album easier.

      It certainly makes album making easier without the hinge.

    You did a great job on this. I love it! & I really don’t like baby albums.😊

    Have you ever just added your cardstock to the chipboard piece?

    I wish I had baby boys or girls to make albums for. The baby is so cute. Maybe I crook up some of my 47 yr old daughters toddler papers & my 45 & 43 year old sons on. I don’t have anybody else.

      Kim, you could use the tutorial and dig out any 6x6 paper pad! But I agree the baby papers are adorable.

      I have a question about this album. I did everything you did & the album bones did great until I left it open for awhile & when I tried to close it with no pages in it both spine sides cracked. Should I have kept working it or kept it closed? I used Artisan just like you and exactly how you made yours. I know how to hide it but I wanted to make a couple more & didn’t want that to happen again. Any ideas why it would have done that? Thx! 😊

      Hi Kim. Did you leave room between the spine and the cover?

    • @kimbrewer8483
      @kimbrewer8483 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I did it just like you did.

    Art glitter glue and the Bearly Art glue are very very similar in how they work but….. the art glitter one cannot be frozen. If it freezes it’s ruined. Bearly has freeze-thaw properties and will be okay if it gets frozen. For most people I don’t know if this matters but where I live it’s a concern.

      I heard the bear glue takes longing to dry than the Art glitter glue.

      @@kimbrewer8483 I will say that is wrong. I’ve used both. I would totally disagree but you’d have to try both for yourself I guess

    Where do you get the Ortis scrapbook paper you are using?

    • @Project39MiniAlbums
      @Project39MiniAlbums  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did get it at CCC, I didn’t realize when I used it that it wasn’t listed on the site. It might have been the last set. But again, use any collection that you have.

      I’ve been using the Artisan but it’s hit & miss on cracking. We’ll see. I don’t give up easy. 😊

    What’s the difference between a mini album & the next size up? I’ve seen so many different sizes & they are called mini but they are bigger than yours. Does anyone use 12x12’s as an album anymore?

    • @Project39MiniAlbums
      @Project39MiniAlbums  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I call all of my albums Mini Albums. It is probably incorrect, but it is habit. Yes, people do 12x12 scrapbook pages and put them in binders, but it is difficult to make a mini album that large unless you special order larger papers that are 11x17 and that would be expensive to ship. It also can be done by joining multiple sheets of paper together.

    What size is a A4?

    • @Project39MiniAlbums
      @Project39MiniAlbums  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A4 is just a bit larger than 8 1/2 x 11. I usually only use 4.25x 5.5 or 5x7 for cards.

  • @kimbrewer8483
    @kimbrewer8483 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Are you using 1/4” score tape or 1/2”?

    What’s a A2 size?

    • @Project39MiniAlbums
      @Project39MiniAlbums  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sorry, I should have explained what A2 size is. It is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.
