Thank you for sharing, an interesting way of using the washy tapes. I would never have thought to add paint, embossing powder etc. then use the dies cuts. All the cards turned out great❤
I use an hair straightener to iron any kinks out of any ribbon I use. Another use is great to use for Christmas baubles. You beat me to the banners for sentiments😊
Such a lot of great ideas Natalie. It took me ages to watch, because I had many interruptions and had to keep restarting. I’ve got masses of ribbon, because I went through a phase of sticking a bow on every card, and bought tons of the stuff. I really went off it, and use it up now for wrapping Christmas presents. I’ll have to have a think about using a bit on my cards again now!
I just must add, that you are my favourite crafter…. You seem to craft things I love to craft too, I’m so very glad I’ve found and I’ve watched all your videos…. Thank you so much for all your great ideas, guidance and ‘sensible’ approach to crafting. Well done Natalie, I’m a fan for life. ❤xxx
Some lovely ideas on how to use ribbon. I love the look of ribbon but am guilty of not using it! One way I have used it in the past is for iris folding, it gives a lovely effect and is quick and easy to do.
Scrapbook photos with ribbon frames behind will be gorgeous! Little leftover bits crisscrossed down a 12 inch strip on a page will look great. I never knew ribbon worked in an embossing folder.
Ooooh. Ribbons galore. That’s something of which I have plenty, as I love fabric, yarn, etc., but have zero ability to sew, crochet, knit, etc. The dry-embossed ribbon is especially pretty, and I like the card with the teeny bit of silver ribbon in the corner behind your focal point best. I also like your horizontal ice-cream-bars design. That would be great for a summer birthday. Speaking of which, my director’s birthday is coming up next month….🤔 Thank you, Natalie, yet again! 💕
You are a creative genius and superb teacher. This video has my head buzzing with ideas. Congratulations on passing 10,000 subscribers - this channel should be growing geometrically!
WOW! I have oodles and oodles of rolls of ribbon. A ridiculous amount truth be told. You have inspired me to make use of some of it. The sheen and dimension are impressive. No bows for this girl so now you have given me many terrific ideas. Thank you, Natalie.
I was sorry to see you toss that bit of embossed ribbon cardstock into the trash. I would have used it either as an accent on another card or behind a die cut/punched opening like you did with the woven ribbon panel. At any rate, these are wonderful techniques, & I love your finished cards. You've inspired me to get out my ribbon & washi tape and USE them! Thank you for sharing. Take care, & have a fantastic day! :)
Oh my word!! If ever a video was needed it was this one! I would never have imagined using ribbon and getting clean and simple cards!!! You are a genius!! Now have incentive to even just look at my ribbon stash again in different light❤️xx
Holy cow! LOTS of inspiration in this one video! I love all the wonderful cards and techniques presented. I definitely will be trying some of these. Thank you so very much! 🩷🩷🩷
Natalie, you are the BEST!!! I have so much ribbon and have not used it in a long long time!! I love all your ideas!! This was so very helpful!! Hi Natalie, I love, love, LOVE your videos! Techniques are so well explained, and inspirational! Please give us some links to your suppliers! I NEED to make cas cards! TFS!
Thanks! I don't provide links in the video description because a lot of my tools are second hand and i dont have time to search for everything. But if there's something specific you'd like to know about, leave a comment, and I'll see what I can find out.
Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful ideas using ribbon & showing all of the cards that you made with them. I like the finished card with the weaving heart card just wonderful.
All of the cards and ideas are fabulous. I loved the birthday cards and felt they would be great for any age, but especially for your girls between the ages of 8 to 13.
When you showed your last little leftover square, it occurred to me that with a bit of string or yarn in a bow on top and running down and across as you wrap presents, it would make a cute little gift, as for a birthday card. Thank you for your imaginative, great ideas!☺️
Loving your ribbon ideas; the banners looked as well as the weaving & lacing techniques too, such a skewt, adorable cards created. Thank you so much! 🥰💜✨🤩🙏🏾
OMG, thank you! I have collected a very large hoard of ribbon over my 30+ years of card making and now I have several useful ideas for using them on cards. I especially loved the idea of embossing them.

But now I have some really sweet ways to use it.

I use an old curling tong to ‘iron’ my ribbons before I use them, it’s so quick and easy too xxx 😊
Thanks for the tip!
All the cards are great, and my very favorite is your little ice cream bars! So very cute!
Thank you so much!
I use an hair straightener to iron any kinks out of any ribbon I use. Another use is great to use for Christmas baubles. You beat me to the banners for sentiments😊
