Welp.. Right off the bat as I was finishing up Alphamon and Jesmon discussions, I realized I missed the option card Waltz's End. I'll just discuss it here briefly.
For 6 memory, 1 of your Digimon gains "Opponent's Turn: When this Digimon becomes suspended, delete all of your opponent's Digimon witth play cost less than or equal to this Digimon." and "Opponent's Turn: This Digimon isn't affected by the effects of your opponent's option cards." until the end of your opponent's turn.
Security: Delete 1 of your opponent's Digimon with the lowest play cost.
Bottom line, in a pure Craniamon deck this could be useful for protecting your Digimon from everything and being the ultimate shield. Hilariously I had a thought of using it with Raid Wargreymon, but that'd be silly. Overall, not bad but I don't know where it'd find a home.
This was the card I mentioned months back in a Deathx board wipe build.
Evolve up while giving it blocker and dare your opponent to attack.
Rare occurrence? Yes, but incredibly toxic when you pull it off.
This archetype is a huge part of why I love BT13 as a set.
Not only do they work in the 13 Royal Knights decl, but (most of them) support any pre-existing decks focused around each member's archetype(s) (save Omnimon exactly) and also spawn new decks for a few members.
Omnimon was the big one to me where I was like.. you don't do well in a vanilla red or blue deck ha ha. Still I also found Lordknightmon and Dynasmon a tad disappointing.

I started changing it up this way in BT12, and I think this worked out a lot better for discussion and deck building.
Ah BT13, if I had to give my main thoughts on this set they'd be: "Man, a Royal Knight set is such a great, fun idea. It'd be so cool if we ever got one."
I mean the set is over all great, especially as the much needed Savers set that it actually is; probably an 8.5/10 from that angle. And it's been pointed out that the set's seemingly called _"Versus_ Royal Knights" precisely because it's about the Savers squad facing the Royal Knights; they're _supposed_ to just be here as an archetype akin to the D-Reapers, rather than being the focal point of the set.
But when we 1st heard of BT13 as an RK set it was hard not to be disappointed to learn they weren't the focal point; and that most of them didn't get more than 1 or 2 cards of support for their own decks (some even get 0, hello Dynasmon & LordKnightmon). And even with Yggdrasil making a MegaZoo for them, that does still kind of suck.
But I do still hope we get a Royal Knight themed set one day soon. Even if this set wasn't really a Royal Knight set in the end, it was proof of how interesting an idea for a set that is and the interest that can lie with the idea. Maybe EX6 since they're on an Adventure kick in the main sets. I won't give up the dream of Craniamon getting his own line & deck that isn't just teching him into Black Good Stuff.
I wholeheartedly agree. I'd love to see all Royal Knights have cohesive lines that go all the way to their mega form and be meta competitive.
Not a bad deck but I know some madmen will sell kidneys to max rarity it.
The Kentaurosmon and Leopardmon decks are kind of fun. Leopardmon is basically swarm and destroy whilst Kentaurosmon is a fun security destruction deck
Lucemon will love the new dynasmon and lordknightmon
Finally cards that target the raise area. That should change things up a bit.
It'll be weird ha ha, it definitely makes a time clock on beating Royal Knights the moment you see Yggdrasil.
The deck did have nearly 100 tops in Asia out of over 1000 events.

As someone whose favorite royal knights are Leopardmon and LordKnightmon, this part of the set gives me intense whiplash xD
I do like the new support they gave to Leopardmon. While I could have covered it in a standalone episode or combined with the next one... well it didn't feel like a canon digivolution to me... which is why I overlooked it.

The blue Leopardmon had Bastemon as its Ultimate
They went Mihiramon for the full Data line in bt13 but still included promo Bastemon to give Leopardmon 2 different ultimates
I hope this arctype is cheap to build, like D-Reaper. I’ve got a D-Reaper format for a 1-vs-Many and think the Royal Knights would make a fun twist for that.
Unfortunately it won't be. In order to build this deck you will need to have 4 copies of BOTH secret rares. Omnimon and Gallantmon are the secrets and you'll need four of to make it work.
I do feel you with the lordknight and dynes, but I think these will played once we get more lucemon support. As we will likely see a new lucemon and lucemon fall down in the future as well as lucemon lvl 7.
BUT HOW LONG WILL WE HAVE TO WAIT?! XD
Because for me the overtuned nature of Greymon decks makes me dread that other tamers will never see the same overtunedness

Dynasmon is core in the RK deck. He's very good.
LK and Dynas IMO are specifically made for this deck. The Lucemon part is just lore reference because both of them were Lucemon's knights in Frontier.
I so cannot wait for this set. This video just makes me even more hype. Be the first set I buy a full case of.
There's definitely a lot to be excited for in the upcoming format! The bling will be real though.
I'm looking forward to alphamon support. Ma boi will always be best.

Definitely feels like an upgraded form of D-Reaper. While D-Reaper wants to go out and do its stuff Yigdrasil will be chilling in the back getting all the pieces it needs. Ine thing though and the strongest counter to the deck is the negate play cost reduction rookies, being able to stop Yigdrasil from reducing cost is so important to slow the deck down enough for you to be able to keep tempo
This is 100% true. And the funny thing is the out against those flood gates aren't too obvious in the deck. Because trying to play the royal knight to get rid of them is also prevented in terms of cost reduction.
So are you also gonna review the interesting Kentarous(Sleipmon) deck later as well? Because you also left him out, too.
Mainly because said deck has an interesting Keyword with "Barrier".

Love that Omekamon is in the game now. Love the dude when I used him in Dawn/Dusk. Also, a natural carrier of the X-Antibody, which is why he's an X-Antibody digimon
Nice vid, but I noticed you didn't mention anything about the last Royal Knight, Kentaurosmon. Did that one digimon just not have synergy with the deck? Just curious.

Unfortunately, Sleipmon (Kentaurosmon) is one of the worst RK in the BT13 roster. His main purpose is a Purge target and a removal. Although in certain situations, if you can proc its effect, it can help you to play Omegamon if you're short on memory because Sleip will gain 3 memory back. I only run 1 copy in my deck.
@@kyrios0307 Agreed. Sleipmon (Kentaurosmon - this is another Digimon I wished they kept consistent with naming) is definitely only a one of for the deck. For it's own deck, it might be fun to run it as it's own standalone deck.
Im not a huge fan of the yggdrasil royal knight deck. It reminds me of magics turbo fog or just a control combo deck. It just controls and stalls till just one turn you play 1 thing and the games over. I was hoping there would be support for each knight for a separate deck. I just want some gankoomon support not gankoomon being the support for a separate deck.
I agree on this front! I don't think I'll be covering a Royal Knight Deck mainly because a majority of the skeletons are the same. Marcus is a great out though to flood gates so this is one thing to be considerate of.

I'm so excited that this set is finally coming stateside! I've wanted to run Royal Knights ever since JP players started demoing it; there's just something so satisfying about going from a near empty field to suddenly having 8 mega's attacking at once
Play cost reduction flood gates like Solarmon, Chikurimon and Psychemon absolutely stop this deck cold.

@@justinmontana3710 Absolutely! The deck is still really cool in terms of mechanics and design.
@@DIGI-PANDA that's why RK also plays BT13 Masaru, Porcupamon, or even hard-dropping a Jesmon for 11 is not a bad move. Can also rely on Purge of the RK.
4 months experience of maining RK in BT13 and still winning despite being locked by floodgates is just absolutely a great feeling 😎

Yggdrasil is inexplicably crazy, strengthened the serte lord demon with a tower and imprisoned each member of the royal knights
