    Bank 2? Thats down stream sensor.
    Bank refers to each bank of cylinders

    Thanks for the heads-up. I have a 2004 4.7 engine and though I can feel the front/forward sensor, you only have a few inches of room to use a 7/8ths short, open-end wrench. No way in hell you can get the torque to break it free by hand.

    Isn't the driver's side bank1 and passenger side bank 2?

    I used penetrant and a offset 02 socket
    And tap it with a hammer
    It worked well for me!!!

    Hey hows things?
    Wondering how long did those aftermarket 02 sensors last?
    Debating whether i wanna spent an additional 200 quid on OEM ones haha

      I would try a good aftermarket first and see how it does. These seem to do okay but for sure are not the best. I know all these cars are very picky about sensors , and especially 02 sensors. Thanks for the feedback.

    My dog chewed up a bunch of wires under my truck mine is a 01 Dodge Ram basically chewed up my shift sensor and O2 sensor wires I got the shift sensor back together I have the O2 wires hanging down a black of Grey and two whites obviously the black and gray go back together does it matter what two whites go together? I tried looking at my other O2 sensors but they have a sleeve on them so it's hard to trace them

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Black is sensor wire gray is ground and the 2 white are heater wires so it doesn't matter which ones you connect . Now in some rare cases they use different colors but in most cases this is the way they are wired . Hope this helps thanks

      @@s33therfan yeah I just said the hell with it and hook them up my check engine light is still on and I reset it and it come back on I went to AutoZone had them plug it up and there's no codes so I'm going to try to switch the whites around and see if that makes the check engine light go off

      @@s33therfan yes I got everything back together I guess it don't matter what two white wires go together in the O2 sensor cuz it runs fine my check engine light is on but it's not throwing any codes so that's kind of weird

      +Derante Davis I can't remember the code , I went to autozone and got a free scan . They gave me the code on a receipt but I've since misplaced it. I know he got the code and specifically stated it was the upper O2 sensor . Thanks for watching

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Eden de Jesus REYna I actually ordered this part from ebay , denso is a pretty good brand I know it's not the oem but it did really well , and I had zero issues with it. Sometimes I can save quite a bit on ebay depending on if want to wait or not . The parts stores should have them but usually little higher I know oreillys seems to have some hard to find parts alot of times . I know the biggest issue I had was getting a wrench to the o2 sensor . I know they make some special wrenches that make access easier but dropping my exhaust wasn't a really big deal as I didn't have a wrench to get to it otherwise . Glad i could help and Thank you for watching

      @s33therfan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +William Watts it should be similar , I'm not real familiar with those years . I know the sensor itself would be different but it should have a similar set up . I'm guessing yours is 5.2 or 5.9 ?

      The only 2 02 sensors on my 4.7l and the only cat is on the passenger side . It's single exhaust the drivers is nothing more than a pipe running to the header . You can see what I'm talking about if you look carefully in the video . Hope this helps

    When I installed my Upstream I had to modify the connector because none of the auto stores around where I live had the right one that would fit the connector anyways I connected it first then screwed it in because I did that it twisted the wires do you think that's okay or should I untwist them?

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they would be fine as long as they aren't touching the exhaust . I will say auto zone has a loaner tool kit that has o2 sensor sockets that make even the most difficult ones easier to get to. Hope this helps and thank you for watching

    Oh my son no no thatstthe sorrest brand you could possibly get. Bosch the original designer a be inveter of O2 Sensors are the best. Topically O2' should be changed at least by 80,000-99,000 miles.Why? Because what you spend on a O2 sensor will save you 2,000 times in fuel cost. Bosch designed and made a Mexican brand for DCC which is a .0010-.0011 wide frequency ratio. But their original brand have a .005-.005 close closed frequency ratio which is unbelievably way more efficient My 02 new gen as soon as it had 36,000 miles I changed all of my O2 sensors. K&N cabin and air filthy along with a 22% colder E3.74 spark plugs and closer ratio fuel injectors for a neon 2.0 4 cylinder I had to by two sets. Fuel mileage? Went from 18 hwy to 26 hwy! There are many thing for the 4.7 HO but the Hemi is even more options FYI Drive safe brother..

      Is it possible for my 03 Ram 1500 to increase it's fuel efficiency by that much even though it's an older model?

    • @dallasstone4416
      @dallasstone4416 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except a si.ple Google search tells you that Bosch sensors are prone to not working properly in dodge trucks.

    • @jayserna921
      @jayserna921 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      100% wrong!
      Bosch, Denso, and NTK make all the O2 sensors. On older models it was okay to use whatever brand the parts store sold. On newer models, using the non OE brand can set a code. It's not that the O2 sensor was made to a lower quality, it's just different specs. Something as simple as the time to warn up can trip a code. Automakers routinely mix O2 manufacturers on the same vehicle. So an engine may have Denso upstream and NTK downstream.
      If you really think Denso makes poor quality O2 sensors, it's probably because you tried using them in an application they weren't designed for. There are 10 of millions of them out there. Nearly every Toyota runs them.
