Hola, I'm Nate. I used to not know any Spanish at all, and I had no interest in learning the language. I thought learning Spanish would be boring, a waste of time, and would provide no value to my life. Then I started taking Spanish classes in high school and everything changed for me. I struggled with learning the language a lot at first, but thanks to my teachers and my Spanish speaking friends, they helped make the learning process fun. Within a few months, I had gotten to a conversational level, but more important, I had become a more confident person. The real win for me, though, was the friendships I made and strengthened. I discovered that not only did I have higher self esteem, but being out in the real world with people, whether old friends or new ones I met, made me feel more alive and connected with the world around me. Now it's my goal to create videos that make you smile and inspire you to learn Spanish or another language!
#spanish #mexico #brand
Thanks so much for watching! What did you think? You can learn Spanish with me for free here 🎉 spanishwithnate.com/
¿Ella es tú novia?
I think we just found out why he really moved to Mexico.
YAY SHES SO CUTE
Fun video! I love Yazmin. She's adorable. You guys are super cute together! I hope she makes more appearances on your channel.
i love yazmin omg 😭 she seems so interested learning how we pronounce words, & your dynamic is so cute!!
So happy for you both! Thank you for making me fall in love with the Spanish language!
Qué genial que finalmente conozcamos a tu novia de la que hemos escuchado tanto! En la próxima deben explicarnos la historia de como se conocieron!!
My mom always pronounced Sprite as esprite
I could listen to Yazmín ALL DAY, love her accent and her beautiful smile. One more word that is fun to hear in Spanish: Vick's VapoRub😂
Funny things is the ik-eyya is actually closer to the true Swedish pronunciation as compared to aye-keeya
Should have done "Vicks Vapor Rub". First time I heard my Mexican girlfriend say this I thought it was the cutest funny pronunciation
ahah trueee
Vapadoo
Great video! You guys look so good together!! The chemistry shows fr 🇲🇽❤
Nate, Yazmin is a keeper! Enhorabuena güey.
Nike (rhymes with bike) is how they say it in english in the UK and Ireland I believe. In the US we say Nike-y. Great video!
True, I've noticed that. I follow some British youtubers and that's how they pronounce it, sounds like bike.
Super fun video, and you guys are great together! More like this!!
Yay more Nate and Yazmin content please
in Britain, Jaguar is usually pronounced either jag-wire or jag-you-war... depending on how posh you are.
In German, Porsche is more or less pronounced like por-shuh.
I'm not 100% positive, but I think the original pronunciation of the word Nike in Greek is knee-kay.
Why was this such a fun video to watch, kudos to you both
I knew as soon as I saw her in his first vlog featuring her that this was gonna be the novia. Congrats güey !
man i love you guys 😭 good video
Una linda pareja! Buen contenido, como siempre, Nate! Felicidades y suerte con tu nueva relación!
Si hay Ikea en la CDMX, solo que está bien al norte.
Cool video. Great vibe with you two.
SUPPPER cute video and your Spanish is insane! I recently visited Panama and only spoke spanish but i know i have a long ways to go. Def dope seeing someone similar to me speak it so well. killer!
4:38 La pronunciación española de Ikea es exactamente igual que la original sueca.
It's the way Spanish speakers say "Liverpool" that always gets me. Leev-ehr-puul jajaja
IMPACTANTE!
😂
When she started the outro in English so you had to cut to Spanish 🤣❤️
Loved the video!
Esto fue lindo ella en realidad pronuncial la mayoria de las cosas muy bien. Feliz por los dos.
Yo tenía una sospecha que cuando viajaste a CDMX y ella estuvo contigo que ustedes van a hacerse una pareja. Felicitaciones a ustedes! Ustedes se aparecen una linda pareja.
This was a great video and OMG she’s adorable 😍
Loved the outro! 😂😂 cute couple
6:14 I knew it as _"Agua pasa por mi casa, Cate de mi corazón"._
Never heard the version she mentioned.
I've noticed sometimes native Spanish speakers pronounce B and V almost like an F sound. I think this is usually when it is at the end of a word, so it's more obvious when they use the English V or B. Even when they're trained to pronounce English B with a harder sound, the V still sounds almost like an F. It's like a V without the voiced teeth.
my parent's speak chinese and viet and when they started learning english they pronounced most of the words just like her lol
Qué divertido este video!
En español nosotros casi siempre pronunciamos las marcas tal y como se escriben como nuestro idioma , estamos acostumbrados a eso jejej . Good video .
@@gringoenespanol ah ok gracias. Eso tiene más sentido
Ambos son buenísimas parejas 😃
Oh, Nate. She's cool and funny. Nice!
Buena onda tu morrita wey! Felicidades a ambos🫶🏼✨
In Ireland we say NIKE without the E sound at the end.
You should do Texas towns next time 😉
Yasmin (sp?) is fun! Really enjoyed the video. :)
Felicidades Nate y Yazmín. Son muy tiernos. ¡Qué bonita pareja!
In the UK we say nike rhyming with bike
Dove (lo decimos "dobe")
I find it really interesting that she had pretty much zero interest in even pronouncing any of these aloud in the English version--unless she was making fun of the pronunciation. I know this isn't the first reveal of Yazmin as your girlfriend, but I have to say that each time I've seen snippets of her here or on your IG or heard you reference her up until even now, I can't help but think back to watching the first CDMX trip you took last year and feeling like it was SO clear that something was going on between you two, and I distinctly remember how confused I was at the time because you had already mentioned in multiple videos that you had a girlfriend in the states😆 I guess we can't help when and where we meet people! I hope you're really enjoying the experience of living in Mexico!
Suertudo!
Cheers Ned !
Busquemos algo en "gúgol" (aquí en mi país le decimos así a Google). Un saludo cracks desde Costa Rica.
Nike es de etimología griega: significa diosa de la victoria , la pronunciación debería ser como el griego y si recuerdo bien si se pronuncia la e ( en griego)
Omgg novia reveal felicidadessss
Sears está bien dicho en inglés, ya que hay una "s" random junto a la palabra "orejas" (ears).
Muy entretenido
4:40 "Ikea" en sueco se pronuncia el mismo que en español, los angloparlantes lo pronuncian mal lol
In Indonesia we actually have the opposite issue which is hypercorrection, like here people say "habañero" instead of habanero, in Indonesia they say "Bearbee" instead of "Barbie", "Care-foor" instead of "Carrefour" (French supermarket brand)
10:43 eso es interesante porque "Adobe" es una palabra de español (ladrillo de barro), pero ella lo pronuncia como en el nombre original en árabe "at-tub".
12:58 Por•sche because it's German
palm-olive and pal-molive sound so similar. subtle.
Star books 📚
😂😂😂 You're a legend Dorein!
From guide tour to novia haha
Felecidades guapos
I like the way she sez things more
Adobe: lo decimos como se escribe.
Another fun version of this could be how different characters in books are pronounced. For example the Harry Potter characters names.
Great Content. Its time to invest in a shotgun mic setup. It will make filming stuff like this way easier and sound so much better.
Chicos en CDMX está un IKEA que es una marca de muebles sueca 🇸🇪 no me acuerdo en que parte con exactitud, pero un youtuber llamado Luisito comunica va seguido.
Next you can add Other idiomas and phrases from Arg., Spain, Chile...like Langfocus..??
El acento de tu novia, si es muy del centro del país, suena según yo entre chilanga y poblana.. :-) y está bien, me cayó bien
Pienso es NEE-Kay en Greek...?
My dad says Eh-shrimps...LOL
Palmolive (lo decimos junto, no "pálmolif")
Fue un vídeo divertido! Estáis ambos muy monos con uno con el otro. IKEA fue correcta para ella, el pronunciacion en español es lo mismo de suecia
Levi's se pronuncia en México igual que en EEUU, los he usado toda la vida
SPANISH WITH NATE WITH THAT FOREIGN RIZZ 🗣️🗣️
Que tortolitos tan lindos.
Nate, te escuchas más mexicano que tu novia mexicana 😂😂
Yasmin es un nombre bonito Peron Ella parece unpoco middle eastern like half , se puede?
Europeans say Nike like Yasmin. But In the US, we say Nikeee Hehe
Nike is a greek word (god of victory), so technically pronounced 'nicky'
Quaker : Kuaker Nivea :Ni vea : cierre los ojos jaja!!
mic Donald ? how would you say if it was someone's last by name Mis Donald ? Mac Donalds .I have heard very few American pronunce it Mic Donalds .
Funnily enough English people also say Nike without the "ee"
Jaguar es una marca inglesa, ellos lo pronuncian Yaguiuar y no yaguar :P.
nike is pronouncec nikey because its how we pronounce the goddess nike. but europe usually says it hiw hispanohablantes say it
Y soy profesora de Inglés
even though there is no double oo in Spansh ,like there is no double r :rr in English.SPanish people do pronounce google like Americans:oo like u in Spanish .Like moo :mu
This is a new novia? Because I remember he said his girlfriend no habla Español?
En México decimos Adobeeeeee lit como se escribe jaja
K LINDO
barely went to mexico and already has a girl sheeeesh my boy is smooth with it
You know what she really wants from him 👀 haha just kidding love Nate
Make more of those differences.....
You didn't ask her for Costco .
Ella tiene razón sobre la pronunciación de Nike. For any native English speaker, think of how words like Like, Bike, Mike are pronounced. I would not expect Nike to be pronounced how it is in the USA. I would expect it to be pronounced exactly as she does.
Wow never knew this was your girlfriend. I always thought she was your friend.
its funny, Yazmin is pronouncing Ikea correctly while native english speakers pronounce it wrong
Pronunciation doesn't always stay the same when it switches languages.
Funny, I´ve just wanted to write the same
Yo e vivido en Mexico y Estados Unidos mas en Estados Unidos pero en notado que hastas las palabras en español las quieren cambiar a su manera. Como taco, burrito, lazo corral etc. Te corrigen si las pronuncias como son.
Oh God... Not Nate going the Holly way with the brand pronunciation videos 😪
Buen video
Your girlfriend is nice!
¿Se escribe "jocho"? ¿sí o no?
