I am in my 70s and live in the UK - I want to do encourage you to keep up your crocheting skills, particularly with thread which is what we used when I first learned over 60 years ago. It makes me happy to know that the old skills are not being lost. Very well done - you are very talented.

You see, we can always learn from each other. Thank you for that inspiration.

I can’t wait to see all your creations!! And congratulations on over 100 subs! When I watched you the other day you only had a few so wow!!!
Just watched your Dollar Tree video & left a comment there😊. I've been a miniaturist (1:12th scale doll house) for many years & as knitting is my preference, I've been knitting miniature items for years, but recently I tried micro-crochet & I'm loving it❣️ I use a 0.5mm hook & cotton sewing thread or very fine wool/acrylic machine embroidery threads☺️. I need a lot more practice but it's such fun learning a new craft!!☺️
I've just started to try micro crochet, after seeing a video by Steffi Glaves. (She has a pattern book out too.) I found that embroidery cotton works quite well for this style of crochet. It's also great for working your way down to a finer thread.
Sorry im two weeks late I got the McDonalds WiFi 😅😂 And yes I really enjoyed the vid I might start micro crocheting too I mean….. IF my cat doesn’t eat my creations 😂
Somehow, the TH-cam algorithm smiled and gave me your video. I crochet and knit 55+ years, and I prefer using the chain to the magic circle. I really enjoyed your vibe. Subscribed ❤😊
Just finished watching this video! You are a joy to watch! I love to crochet.have done it for about 65 years. I am 77. Take a look and see how small tatting thread is and size 15 steel crochet hook! Keep up the good work. The Aunt Lydia 10 is the size of thread. The other number on the wrapper a way we know the thickness. Those numbers are on yarn also believe they go 1 2 3 4 5 bulky. Cotton thread goes 100 and up to 10 ! Enjoy ! Lynda
Oh my goodness! You are so precious. I too have way too many hobbies, but your creativity and sweet personality has made me want to pick up my crochet needle again…immediately.❤ Liked and subscribed. I cannot wait to see the next video and I wish you all the best.
In crochet thread, there is a different sizing system. The "1" and "0" you mention are general categories, but most crochet thread falls into the "0" category; the thread sizes are on the front of the balls where it says "fashion 3" and "classic 10". Smaller numbers = thicker thread. I suspect the reason you want to hold the hook that way is that the narrow body of the hook hurts your hands so you naturally grip the flat portion
They turned out great! 'Love the contrast! ...and I REALLY like how much JOY you"re projecting!!! I'm happy, cuz you're having so much SUCCESS (and FUN)!👍😄 "Happy hooking!"😉
New to your channel and I also subscribed. Beautiful young lady, I am 69 soon to be 70 and have crocheted since I was 9. I am so filled with joy to see that this beautiful art is still carried on by young people like you! Keep it up and be proud of what you make! Thank you for allowing me to come into your life! Your earrings are adorable! My first project was at age 9 and completed at age 16. I made a pineapple tablecloth with white thread. I still have it. Anxious for your next video! Reach for the stars sweet girl!
Love this idea! I am going to show it to my daughter she has crocheted earrings before but I don't remember her making just a granny square and that is so stinking cute. I also love the idea of using them as stich marker.

What a great job! Can't believe this was your first micro crochet project. I learned about crochet thread sizes the same way you did. If you do amigurumi at all, I know you can do the mini or micro. I can use the size 0 but, I still can't seem to hold on to sewing thread well enough to make even stitches. Love your new channel, just found it and you earned a sub from me. You're doing great so far! Can't wait to see this channel grow! 🥰❤
I saw that you can block it with a mixture of water and pva glue, so the earrings wont bend from hair weight and all the movement. Great job! I also want to try make some
Love this!! I made the same mistake as you and bought two different size threads to start with. You got a weight 3 fashion thread which is quite thick and a weight 10 thread which is thinner. I like size 8 - 10 thread for my granny square earrings with a 1 mm hook or a 1.25mm :)
You are so lovely, please stay just the way you are! We love real people!❤ I have tried micro crochet but I have very bad hands so I can hardly hold the thread somehow
The lily sugar & cream in camo pink is so cute - good luck w ur channel! Subscribed :) - magic circle all the wayyyyyyyy - the earrings turned out adorable! Gonna try making a pair of the snowflake earrings as a gift, ty for the inspo!
I stiffen mine with Aleene's stiffen quik spray. I pin them to a board or piece of foam and spray and use my hairdryer or heat gun to dry them quickly.
Dog hair/people hair in my crocheting ANNOYS me so much! So much that i drag out my vacuum and clean my area as best as i can. Rarely.... Do i have the hairs to make me frustrated as i enjoy my relaxing hobby. Hope this helps as i have 2 dogs that are very clingy. My grandmother used to use sewing machine thread to edge her pillow cases, multiple rows of tiny crochet that looks so delicate. Your channel is overall very peaceful! TY❤
I would probably just use a regular sewing needle to weave any enda in- Plus it has a sharp pointed end and that would make it easy to get through the yarn when weaving in. I am impressed you were able to crochet with thread that fine.
Omg!!! It's so funny I was making a purse out of pink camo too and I ran out of yarn. And as I was watching this I told myself when you went to Joann's that I needed to go get pink camo. Then you pull, it out. But unfortunately my local Joann's are out of stock. So,I have to go an hour away.

thank you so much! Your support is so encouraging! I figured it would be more secure! (I love your pfp btw! lol)
@@KniTeaGritty omg thank you! I am obsessed with Markiplier lol 😆
I saw that you can block it with a mixture of water and pva glue, so the earrings wont bend from hair weight and all the movement. Great job! I also want to try make some
@@sastasica thank you for the tip! :)
Love watching your video and I’ve been kind of shy to make my own channel but this encourages me loved watching this video
@@alimustafa7680 yes do it! i was too at first but it’s so cool to share the craft with others! 💕
This is so cute love it definitely subscribed 🎉
@@allright1937 thank you so much! 💕💕
I'm so glad I found your channel! I subbed. I want to try micro crochet too.
@@Shelly_Kelly thank you for the sub! :) you definitely should!
Love this!! I made the same mistake as you and bought two different size threads to start with. You got a weight 3 fashion thread which is quite thick and a weight 10 thread which is thinner. I like size 8 - 10 thread for my granny square earrings with a 1 mm hook or a 1.25mm :)
@@goshunk358 oh i’m glad i wasn’t the only one! lol yes i definitely want more colors now! it was actually so fun!
I’m inspired to make some of my own micro-crochet jewelry! You should try a multicolor pack of embroidery thread to get a bunch of colors :)
@@taylarsciborski8789 yes! i’ve made three pairs of ear rings now! and i definitely should! :)
You r so cleaver well done ❤️🌻

I have tried micro crochet but I have very bad hands so I can hardly hold the thread somehow
@@LennyPane78 thank you so much for your kind words! it was hard to hold such skinny thread for sure!
Keep up the good work!

The lily sugar & cream in camo pink is so cute - good luck w ur channel! Subscribed :) - magic circle all the wayyyyyyyy - the earrings turned out adorable! Gonna try making a pair of the snowflake earrings as a gift, ty for the inspo!
@@bellab5757 of course! :) yes i love the color of that yarn as well! thank you for the sub! 💕
I stiffen mine with Aleene's stiffen quik spray. I pin them to a board or piece of foam and spray and use my hairdryer or heat gun to dry them quickly.
@@natalieseals5518 ooh i’ll have to look into that
Keep it up you are doing great!
@@StampinJax thank you! 💕
With the thumbnail i was so sure you were an experienced youtuber cus its rlly well done and cute! It genuinely shocked me lowkey
@St4rlighttss thank you so much! i appreciate that! 🥹💕
TY❤
@@betsyvanek9275 the pillow cases sound so pretty! 💕
I would probably just use a regular sewing needle to weave any enda in- Plus it has a sharp pointed end and that would make it easy to get through the yarn when weaving in.
I am impressed you were able to crochet with thread that fine.
Good luck with your channell ... was a great video
@@NatalieBramasole thank you! 🥰
Omg!!! It's so funny I was making a purse out of pink camo too and I ran out of yarn. And as I was watching this I told myself when you went to Joann's that I needed to go get pink camo. Then you pull, it out. But unfortunately my local Joann's are out of stock. So,I have to go an hour away.
@@MusicloverQueen oh my gosh that’s crazy! yes i had to as well actually!
