  • SIGMA 16MM 1.4 | The Best Prime For Lumix S5IIX
Welcome back and enjoy my quick review of the Sigma 16mm 1.4 for my Lumix S5IIX. This lens is for APS-S or super 35 and delivers a 24mm equivalent for my full frame camera and I love it. This is a great walk around lens and also great in low light. I'll do a video on this lens and its low light capabilities.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this lens. I just bought it for my R10, and I can't wait to use it for my YT channel. I do graphics cards repairs for a living. But sometimes I do product reviews, and I think this lens is going to be a game changer. I am currently using my phone for most of my recordings, but the difference in video quality is night and day with my current setup, which is the Canon 16mm 2.8. But for darker situations, like in my apartment, the F2.8 on my Canon lens does introduce some noise. Nothing significant, but I still want something better. I greatly appreciate your thoughts on this lens even though it is for a different camera.

Hi! Please tell me, if I put an autofocus aps-c lens on the S5ii, for example, sigma 30mm f1.4, can it be turned on in Full mode? Or will the camera not allow you to do this with an autofocus lens? It is clear that there will be a vignette. But after that, I want to select the High stabilization mode and the vignette should go away, and the total crop will be 1.4, not 1.4 crop on 1.5 crop.

Also, such a scheme could be carried out not with high stabilization, but for example in 4k 60 crop mode. But the question is, is it possible to do this?

So the camera will instantly put you in aps-c or super 35 mode, it won't allow you to choose full frame. There will be no vignette because it will adjust to your lens and crop in a bit. Like I said in this video the lens is 16mm but on a full frame camera it crops into 24mm.

@@Damian-i2e Even with a full frame lens on the S5ii and X when you shoot 4K 60 it crops in a bit automatically.
