BMW F32 How to replace side mirror glass
Why is your camera so far away.cant see nothing
nice footage and editing bro! But is this legal? I really wanted to shoot this same thing but it's illegal here in Michigan to fly drone over the stadium during the game day
Here in California we are not allowed to fly over stadiums, I used the mini 3 pro the day I pulled this off. Usually my drone won't even allow me to get altitude but that day it was a go, and I went for it.
How did you replace the lens? Cause my got scratched too and I want to replace a new one.
I just replaced the lens guard I had on. I believe us with the x3 have to send it in to be done. What I've seen online is it runs about $75 each lens.
Keep it up brother very good job!
Hi! Please tell me, if I put an autofocus aps-c lens on the S5ii, for example, sigma 30mm f1.4, can it be turned on in Full mode? Or will the camera not allow you to do this with an autofocus lens? It is clear that there will be a vignette. But after that, I want to select the High stabilization mode and the vignette should go away, and the total crop will be 1.4, not 1.4 crop on 1.5 crop.
Also, such a scheme could be carried out not with high stabilization, but for example in 4k 60 crop mode. But the question is, is it possible to do this?
So the camera will instantly put you in aps-c or super 35 mode, it won't allow you to choose full frame. There will be no vignette because it will adjust to your lens and crop in a bit. Like I said in this video the lens is 16mm but on a full frame camera it crops into 24mm.
@@Damian-i2e Even with a full frame lens on the S5ii and X when you shoot 4K 60 it crops in a bit automatically.

I've been seriously consider the S9 to pair with my Sigma 16-28 for Travel. My 16-28 and 28-70 lives on my S5 II for work but I need a "FUN" Camera at this point.
@@pureheartvisuals my 24-70 art doesnt leave my S1. I actually picked up the 24-100 Panasonic lens and its clean brotha. A 16-28 would be perfect for the s9
I love the 24-105 🔥& also the 70-300 both are crazy cleanand float handheld. I sold both ONLY because my application changed and I ended up with fairly duplicate focal lengths. I have 16 Wasabi Batteries, won’t leave home without them 😂 I definitely think I will pick up the S9, I could always throw on my Atomos Ninja V if I needed it as a Long Form Safety Shot… clearly another upside.
Great kit! Lumix S5ii is such an awesome camera.
I appreciate it, I stay constantly switching things up.
Great Content Sir
Thank you
Love it, thank you for sharing! I’m also tempted with the S9 😏
Yes that S9 will be in the bag soon.
sick bike
Why i have like glue on connector? I can t remove them!? How can i do
Right around 2:36 in the video you can see where I had to use pliers to remove the prongs right in front of the clip, they're two of them.
I hear who it's made for and it has innovative features, for that price. Someone only concerned about creating content could purchase a DJI Pocket 3 creater kit for $600 and a used full frame camera and lense to take pictures. The price of it is an issue because of the features it lacks, not what's included. The features that it has, I don't think entry-level content creates, need, will use, or care about. Most photographers use an EVF and flash.
You're spot on with all you said, Lumix puts us in a weird position with their camera features. To me they give the most for the least amount of money.
@ShellyBHollis I think they could have gone with a smaller battery and added an EVF, a pop-up flash, and 30-minute record limits. Also, drop the 6K. With that and everything it has, it would be the entry-level full frame creater video/ photo camera that it wants to be.
@@quintessentialgrooming5285 Yes the 6k is a lot especially since they are going after content creators. I've seen some record limit test, there's been no real problems with over heating so that's a plus. I live in Cali we get 100+ degree days often.
@@ShellyBHollis How is it as a Webcam for streaming? No one has mentioned that.
@@quintessentialgrooming5285 I haven't heard anything about it. I use my X from time to time, but my new Mac video is 1080 and looks solid for me.
Why can't we hate a shitty camera like the S9 ?
Dope take on this camera Shells. This may be my 1st foray into LUMIX FF. M43 is my workhorse system of choice. But man this thing looks like fun
People are upset when something isn't made for them, incorrectly assuming that they are always the target audience.
I agree.
Panny shills are upset because this shitty camera will affect their kickbacks.
I own a lot of Cameras 😂 I am having a time reading through all the comments from all these S9 Videos…. All personal comments about a person’s internal gripes. Bro DO NOT buy the Camera then, it’s not for you. But to have a 2 paragraph complaint session on something you claim you do want or need because it’s missing something you want 😂 come on people. The Internet really is a place for people to complain recklessly 😂
Panasonic did something for a market that isn’t being served right now, folks that want a small capable camera with a full frame sensor, without all the buttons and switches. I started my channel with a Panasonic HC-X1 camcorder, I liked the image it produced and now learning about their hybrids, I may end up getting one. I’m waiting to see what the new S1 series brings. I’ve shot Nikon for years with photography and tried Sony’s FX30 and A7R V, I prefer the screen on the A7R V and wished they had put that on the FX30 but the FX30’s active cooling made me keep it when I moved to the Z8, plus the ergonomics on the A7R V hurt my hand for prolonged use. I’m thinking the S9 could make it in my collection as a simple point and shoot, everyday use. I’m curious to see what other small lens Panasonic makes for it.
Ha. I want it as a back up full-frame for my SL2. All that glass gets a new friend. Done deal. Prolly better AF than the SL2, too.
I just starting trusting AF when I picked up the S5iix, size and mounting options is what's making me interested.
Agree your comment about Gerald 😀(i think and hope it was Gerald hehehe)
Gerald really woke up the TH-cam community with this launch. Overall I think this was good for all camera brands, time for content creators to speak up.
I am using Leica SL with native lens OMG i hardly using it now too big and too heavy specially going out with family. Having smaller body and keeping most tough notch spec is good for me.
the hate comes mostly from obnoxious advertising strategies from Lumix AND influencers. I think people are getting tired of endlessly being sold a bill of goods and the influencers who people have trusted and made past decisions off seeing them switch to Lumix (mostly from Sony) to shill a new camera after a $7000-$10000 all expenses trip paid to Japan. That's the core of it, i'm 98% sure.
Why are people acting like this is some new phenomenon started by Lumix? It's been standard practice for many companies for years, and across all kinds of industries. New flash: Sony flies people out for events. So does Fuji, so does Nikon, so does Canon. GoPro. Car companies. Tech companies. It's everywhere. Did people just realize that embargo reviews aren't the best way to get information about a camera? Gerald Undone's video had some good points but it's shined a giant spotlight on Lumix alone based on his personal experience to the point of being unfair, in my opinion. All these companies are playing the same game.
@@nickcarneyphotography yeah, Sony started the extravagant trips. And those events made them switch from the GH4.
THE PRICE and it could have been
I love Panasonic cameras, but the S9 has me mystified. Panasonic made too many design concessions in an attempt to make a full-frame camera what it can never be, a small camera given of the size of the lenses it needs. The 26mm manual focus lens with a fixed aperture size of F8, which is needed to actually make the S9 appear to be a small form-factor camera, is a joke. If I put my Panasonic/Leica 15mm F1.7 on a M43 Gx9, I will have an auto focus camera with better low light performance and a shallower depth of field than the full frame S9. (Did I mention the GX9 has an EVF?) Panasonic, update the GX9 with a better EVF and screen, use the G9 M2 sensor with its improved IBIS and its new hybrid autofocus system, and then you will have a near-perfect small form-factor camera. Hard pass on the S9.
your spot on with all of this, they should have had that 18-40 ready at launch. That 26mm will be all over eBay for about $100 in the near future. I have no use for it, I think they went that route so you don't need a ND filter in log.
The very first camera i ever bought back in 2017 was an Olympus pen E-PL9. It has no viewfinder, no phase detect AF, no USB charging, no headphone jack and somehow I was still able to make it work for 3 whole years without ever having an ounce of expectation that it was supposed to be anything "more". I think people just need to manage their expectations. Some of these people are acting like they're taking it personally that the camera lacks this feature or that feature.
My first camera was a Canon T3i 1080 30fps, I know exactly what you mean.
As long as you know for whom it's made for and don't expect OM1 features and specs.
mechanical Shutter. That's all I ask for. I am okay with a slow sensor but lord not those leaning lines on my cernival photos please.
I'm going to switch my X over to electric shutter just so I can see the difference, I'm more video focused personally.
I don't use Panasonic. I use Canon day to day and hire Phase One for bigger jobs. Still, the S9 caught my attention and I don't understand the sudden rage. I suspect it's simply simple folk going tribal over their Fuji X100vi etc, which is funny given the hate the Leica guys rain down on that.
You can't use the S9 normally for still photo work without missing something...(mechanical shutter...electronic Hot shoe...etc)....But the main reason is Panasonic appears to have forsaken its M43 GX9 line....(along with OM dissing the Pen F line).....Cheers
Why are you swearing all the time? Does it make you feel a bit cool?
Actually I'm in my house talking to a camera giving my opinion and just saying what I want to like always. There's other pages with personalities you might like, happy hunting.
Electronic shutter only? Pay a little more to get a lot more.
There is nothing inherently wrong with this camera; it's a great option for its price. However, there are some puzzling choices, such as the F8 lens and the fact that the other lenses are large, compromising the camera's compact nature etc...but no camera out here is perfect! The main issue lies not with the camera itself, but with Panasonic's approach and practices. If Panasonic is aiming to create a new segment of cameras, they should have engaged a different group of content creators to review it during its release in Japan. By choosing well-established, high-level reviewers from TH-cam to evaluate what is essentially an entry-level camera, they invited professional-level criticism. Consequently due to that, the S9 got heavily compared to Panasonic's own S5II models, making the S9 seem subpar and a poor value in comparison, despite the S5II being a more professional consumer product. Panasonic should have had the professionals review the S5II(which they did) and let entry-level content creators, who are the actual target audience for the S9, review the S9 in Japan. Those are the individuals they should have flown to Japan for the launch. That would have created a difference and avoided the whole S5II comparisons and make this camera feel lackluster This practice of having everyone release videos of the same camera simultaneously after its release, just to bank of the influence of these large creators, only underscores how stale tech reviews on youtube have become.
Good call on the people they choose to invite, I totally agree. Maybe this should have been more of a TikTok push 1st and then TH-cam 2nd. The lens threw me off as well, my only possible way to reason with it was them trying to eliminate people needing a ND for it? I still have a 40mm pancake lens from canon that's a 2.8 I keep around just for fun.
I was gonna make a video but you’re pretty much nailing everything I’m thinking in my head 😅 I’ll say one thing: if someone creates a small lens like that new 26mm f8 but make it a f2 with autofocus, it’s gg fam.
I still own my 40mm 2.8 pancake lens from canon... So we know it's possible and I think I paid less than $200 for it.
New segment for cameras? A7C/ZV-E1 was here few years ago. Problem it's not with camera but with the pricing - you have 15 min 4k 😅 It's not for content creators but it's all about money.
The ZV-E1 was $2,200 at launch and this is the price of a iPhone pro max.
@@ShellyBHollis A7C was cheaper than ZV-E1 and can record more than 15 minutes of 4k. Maybe it's price of iPhone Pro Max but with manual 28mm f8 lens... This is a joke. For content creators, you need to buy lens for price of the S9 (like 16-35/4 or 2.8) and you can't compare it with size of iPhone Pro Max. With 28mm manual lens, you can't vlog (of course, you can but it's not normal).
@@rafanaluzie2062 I still own a canon 40mm 2.8 pancake lens, so we all know what's possible. They did mention they have a 18-40mm F4.5-6.3 coming out later this year.
@@ShellyBHollis how many vloggers use lens like that with 4.5-6.3? Most of them buy f2.8, some with f4. This 18-40 sounds like kit lens.
@@rafanaluzie2062 sigma has a nice 16-28 F2.8 but it's a solid $800 bucks.
I love the compact size, definitely something I’d pick up for easy travel creator content. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it.☺️
This could be a great over the top camera for your nail videos.
I like it, just not a video guy
🔥✊🏿🔥🔥🔥✊🏿🔥
I looked at the specs, I don't see a use for this. f you buy this, it seriously limits what you can do, and there aren't cheap upgrades. I am a photographer, I am enrolled in a TAFE course. There's not enough camera here to complete the course. If you are videoing interviews, perhaps you will want to roll the camera for 30 minutes and more. If you start as a beginner and buy this camera, you get a rubbish lens, so you need something more. I think most beginners should start with a decent phone.
Because most the YT folks are a tad pretentious? 🤔 and the manufacturers use them and stroke their ego.
Other gripe I have about the S9 is, why is it Full Frame? Wouldn't Micro Four Thirds make way more sense for what this is, how it's meant to be used? They could have made an updated Lumix GM1, which still has a cult following ten years after.
I don't think they want to hurt the gh6. This sensor is just repackaged from the S5 and this makes 6+ cameras with Lumix that has full frame.
@@ShellyBHollis how would an updated GM1 compete with a GH6? The GM and GX line owners have been waiting and clamoring for *years* for Panasonic to release a modern updated small rangefinder style body. And now they finally do . . . . in full frame??
@@U-03C9 People love the GM1. The S9 is far more video focused where the classic GM1 is the perfect everyday walk around camera with great lens options. The Gh line by far is the best hybrid option for micro 4/3 shooters.
The viewfinder thing… Yeah, I shoot with my phone and no viewfinder-and then struggle to see what the heck I'm even pointing it at, when I'm outdoors in the sunlight. I tolerate that because the phone is always in my pocket. I can even tolerate that from the Ricoh GR because it slips into a pocket. The S9 won't fit in anyone's pocket. It's a Big Boy camera, and some of us expect more from that.
One thing I give Lumix credit for is they listen, maybe next year we might get a S9X that has a viewfinder and a few extra hardware features.
Same here I don’t buy cameras without a viewfinder, otherwise it’s just a glorified high-tech phone! Plus some reviewers were acting like it’s the best thing since sliced bread and better than the Fuji X100 series!
You’ve just talked about video capability in your justification at the start of the video. Us who are interested in photography and not content creation are frustrated because it doesn’t have an EVF, no mechanical shutter and no hot shoe. If Panasonic had just done that we’d be all over it. It’s probably great for video, I have no idea. But it’s another case of a camera company being nearly there but just either doing incremental updates rather than giving us what we want, or getting it nearly right but still missing something which is always just over the horizon. Apple do the same.
Lumix to me has always been video focused so I totally understand you. I have friends that are great photographers and they never use their cameras video features. I don't think Lumix put photographers first on this one.
Seriously. If it had an Evf I’d be interested. Even more so it was APS-C
@@lmenzol APS-C interesting.. Honestly when I put a APS-C lens on my X I love the look and compression. That's why I don't complain I'm just happy to be able to press the record button
@@ShellyBHollis part of the point is to make it lightweight right? I’m not too familiar with Panasonic or their range of APS-c lenses if they have any. My XT-5 is lightweight, color sims are amazinng and lenses produce great 3D contrast. I’m looking for a cheap daily carry, so maybe something like an X-T30 or XE-4. This camera is definitely interesting but full frame lenses are heavy and expensive. Most people who buy full frame don’t even know the real advantages of full frame sensors.
@@lmenzol ive always heard nothing but good things about Fuji, i love the style of cameras as well. Retro
It is going to challenge current shoot & share market, smart phones
iPhones cost the same price, and we all know phones will never have a full frame sensor.
Hi - what's the IBIS like on it, is it S5 standard. Plus I hear a 18 - 40 kit lens is coming - I find that very useful for my work.
IBIS is equal to the s5ii and it has the new stabilization features just release with a firmware update for the s5iix. In simple terms it's a walking gimbal.
It's not for me, but it's a cool camera and will suit plenty of people. A lot of the controversy is about the influencers flown to Japan with the pressure of a lifting embargo to rapidly release content on it. Almost all of them cited the 4k30p 15 minute clip limit as being a compromise for the small build. Now many of them have the camera home and have more time, it turns out that the 15min 4k and 20min HD clip limits aren't entirely about thermal management. I've seen a few shooting back to back clips and overheating at 4k30 kicks in typically at over an hour. So why not a 30 or 45min clip limit. It's looking like the clip limit for HD might be entirely unnecessary if it's about cooling. That press event release cycle isn't unique to Lumix though. I think a lot of the push back this time is maybe something to do with the number of TH-camrs who were flown to Japan. For people who watch a lot of camera related content on TH-cam, suggested videos went a bit nuts with video after video of people walking around Kyoto with an S9. Having said that though, the same thing happened with the Sony A9 III launch and the internet didn't melt down. Maybe it was the number of TH-camrs talking about their expenses being paid to travel to Japan that put people off (which is important to disclose). Maybe it's a lesson to all manufacturers to not involve international trips with expenses when inviting TH-camrs to a launch event?
In the past companies paid models and actors to promote their brands and products, they need to do the same now because content creators are getting the views. They're just going to have to be open to our opinions if this is the movement of the future. When we were only watching television none of us could leave a comment, but that has all changed with a TH-cam and social media.
@@ShellyBHollis very true
Well we all know this Ytuber thing is mostly a fraternity and about Copy Cat Artist. Far too many commenters that Blank up to the bigger Channels and the Big Channels that think they are ALL That when they really aren't. So when a bigger channel goes on a crybaby rant about not getting invited and or how Panasonic is supposed more punitive then their Mom and DAD, SONY, then things tend to get out of hand. Then that channel and even smaller ones even complain about FREE trips not being Free. Okay, then don't go, I don't need to hear them crying a RIVER. Plenty of up and coming photographers who would be more then willing to take their place. From what I have seen so far, the S9 is far from a Trash Camera, but there are certainly TRASH yTubers stating otherwise. Why all of sudden these yTuber has decided to SINGLE out Panasonic, Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I agree, I made the switch to Lumix years ago when the S1 was introduced because it fit what I needed coming from Canon 5D mark ii. I think that trip to Japan made a lot of people look into the mirror like who TF am I, why do I sound like everyone else on TH-cam? I would have loved to make a video with something new, just to be creative and objective. New tools just gets me excited again, and if it's not for me it's just not the right tool for the project. Lumix video features to me are still on matched for the price, and all these features is still the price of a iPhone.
I’m intrigued by the S9 Would have liked a hot shoe though and the option for an EVF attachment. It will be received better from the photography enthusiasts once there’s a few nice pancake primes available
That Leica “already been done” shit is what makes me have doubts about l mount. I have no doubt that the l - mount alliance is a cartel where they withhold features on rotation. I’m a sigma fp user who almost decided to switch to this s9, but I can see they’ve nerfed the s9 so that it doesn’t beat the s5. Sony is even worse… they have their cinema cams which get the exclusive raw video and ability to turn off noise reduction. Looks like Nikon z6iii is my next big purchase and I just hold onto my fp
How do you like the fp?
At least Sony makes ...(and continues to make) new cameras every year...both video concentric and stills photography...I no longer do much video... only Iphone and go-pro/dgi stuff ...but I have sold most of my M43 gear because both Panasonic and OM both have not continued their GX or Pen F series...(I have always used small "rangefinder style" cameras for street work)...right now... I am left with a pair of Sony A7c bodies and an older A7s body to fill my needs... Cheers from my home in Bangkok
@@georgemahlum6542 Cheers my man, you still got some great cams on hand.
@@ShellyBHollis love it. The raw video edit is a bit of a challenge but I just need to spend more time learning how to grade…. I think it’s the right choice for me because I’ve invested in a couple (budget but authentic Leica m lenses) and I want to get the most out of that glass. I am also going to try and use photo software to edit the cinedng files… I believe they are identical to raw photo files which is amazing. You just need an external ssd
Thank you Shelly, an attitude of gratitude and you’re right on the money that we have little to complain about regarding this camera or what Panasonic has been building of late. I do have an S9 on order and expect to use it for a lot of BTS and personal projects. For instance I keep thinking it will be wild to have such a compact tool during location scouting. The perfect way to not only gather some angles and shooting ideas but with the app you can also start playing with different looks on the fly. I will think of it the same way a painter might think of the sketch book they carry around, testing colors and ideas before executing the big painting.
