What is the symptom when this arm goes bad. Metal or rubber sound like stabilizer bar bushing

If you pull out the two bolts on the front of the trailing arm, this becomes super easy, as the bushings end up straight. You can then fairly easily push the front end of the trailing arm back into place and replace the bolts.

Satisfied customer. The parts fit exactly, I have a 2014 Ford Focus. I soaked the bolts for 3 days with "Zuper-silla" powerful penetrant oil which made bolt removal especially successful and this video's advice on the swivel socket absolutely necessary for the tight space of the upper bolts of the upper-control arm, a 1/2" drive worked fine in tight space and the swivel socket too, both the driver extension and the swivel socket are about almost two inches round so it looked uncertain if they were going to fit in the tight space but they did also successfully aside from the fact that they appear rather large and bulky items. Additionally here on this video was the use of a ratchet strap, yes this is necessary and also used a large 10inch C-clamp for guiding the bolts into alignment and success the parts fit. So miscellaneous items are: Swivel socket and matching extension, ratchet strap, C-clamp, 3 floor jacks, penetrating oil. This is my review and everything works just fine. Thanks A1 Auto !!!

Do you need an alignment after this? I just got one last week and hope I don’t have to go back and pay for another one

Same job on my 2002 Focus Turnier, but the bolts are frozen and seized in the bushings, can't move them.
I'd love to see a video about rusty frozen bolts removal tricks. :-)

Hello, I'm having an issue locating the rear upper control arm for my 2004 ford focus wagon se. My rear upper control arm is straight unlike the one shown in the video and I cannot find a straight one on 1a auto. Will this one work for my vehicle? Thank you.

Do you have the nuts and bolts cam etc for the rear suspension control arm kit all four with the 12 bolts washer etc ? no damage done to the bushing while hitting on it? whats the cost of your ratchet strap?link for your ratchet strap please , is your torque wrench the same as the digital one you're using?

Did you know if you remove the shock you can get to all the bolts just by taking the tire off and removing the shock

How often does one legitimately only need to replace one of the rear control arms? All those bushings are the same age, and it just seems so much easier to do this with the lower arm out of the way anyway..

If you use a floor jack with the wheel off jack the suspension up to where it normally is then everything lines up nice. Kids that never did this before should Not be making a how-to video.
