I LOVE this build mained it since I started and I'm so glad it's been buffed. But I'm new so only have ascended and no legendary gear I just made a super expensive switch from trailblazer's to celestial to play cele builds for the other 3 elite specs in wvw. Is there any possible way I could make this build work without replacing ALL of my cele gear? It's sooo expensive when you don't have legendary yet.
I would love to hear Vallun comment on his own competitive pokemon strategies or even yugioh. Also were is that cute girl that follows vallun in the comments?
no its not good for pve at all, fear damage is very burst oriented because its limited access and ease of disrupting it with other cc, making it have very low sustained damage for pve
"you get destroyed by CC or being massively outnumbered..." I mean, are there any classes that don't? I don't mean cowardly running away from the fight and calling it "kiting", but actually sustaining yourself and winning 1v4+ fights. On most classes/specs, I find 1v3 is the most a skilled player can do, if the outnumbering players are of average skills. Only classes/specs I saw being able to do 1v4+ without running away are a couple of tempest/catalyst broken celestial builds and permastealth daredevils. Are there any more that I am not aware of?

I didn't write that celestial stats are broken, I wrote that there are couple of elementarist builds relying on celestial stats that outperform nearly all other builds in WvW. Seeing how you feel a need to lash out on a random TH-cam comment with immediate personal insult tells me you are most likely a celestial build enjoyer with a paranoid idea that any time someone criticizes anything even remotely related to celestial stats you feel like ArenaNet is going to remove it the very next day. I can sort of understand you because that's what they did in PvP, and I agree it was a stupid thing to do because it sets a stupid precedent that simply deleting content/playstyle from a game is valid gameplay balancing strategy. But no, I don't criticize celestial stats, I criticize just couple of builds which clearly stand out in WvW in terms of their defensive/offensive performance.
Virtuoso had 100% evade uptime when it came out and also there is some builds whith great evasion uptime like: Sword skill 3/Great Sword skill 4, alliance skill 7/assassin skill 9 vindicator whith evasion relic. Sword skill 3/Dagger skill 4 /great sword skills 3 and 4/Shortbow skill 3 Ranger. On Elementalist u can run the conjure earth shield skill 5 and also the block on catalyst´s fortified earth and the evade on fire staff skill 3 which also has an elite skill which can reduce its CD (elemental celerity). There is also the willbender whith great sword´s skill 3, the elite skill renewed focus, the heal shelter and the two charges from F2. There is a build on theredevil that is also like a million dodges but i dont really know it to adress it in here :( I belive im forgetting some builds but thats all i can remember right now n.n

i only do that in full build guides, i never have ever shown the build in my wvw commentaries, this a hybrid of those

Cele is probably fine for WvW. You will have lower condi damage but more crits leading to more condis applied and longer boon duration.

From my experience if something works in wvw it works well as a solo pve build, quite good for killing champs

there are plenty, anything with mobility, evades, or tons of stun breaks, necros just eat everything their enemies put on them
