Those are beautiful details of this fantastic game.
The legendary animal notification could've been a delayed pop-up from when you were up by the Tesla tower. If you look at the map, the legendary moose appeared on it.

That was a close one there with Arvak. If someone had shot my horse I'd do more than just swear... Don't forget to head to a gun shop for more guns & ammo. You might even pick up some garlic while you are at it.
Lightening u can carry 2 or more animal pelts on your horse plus a person or animal on the back and 2 smaller animals on each side of the horse all at once
It’s also interesting watching you play RDR2 after I’ve played Red Dead Redemption; seeing the characters in RDR2 after knowing what goes on with them in the first game puts some things in a different perspective at times. I’d be interested to see if you ever play RDR to see your thoughts after playing it sequentially time wise.

Unless you meant Marko Dragic, ofc I did the bull gator quest on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough with my bow. (Had to trick the game to bring it on my back by accessing my horse weapons the moment before a cinematic). Shot him with a fire arrow and the game wouldn't progress... I was stuck in the mission. I don't recommend -a bit boring

Make sure to finish the brother Dorkins (the monk) side missions, they can affect the end of the game
Make sure you replace that horse reviver if it was the only one you had Liz.🤠 Nothing worse than realizing you don't have one on you when you need it.

FYI.....Arthur is a great swimmer. Also, you can "stack" small pelts/hides on top of each other on back of horse.

theres a side mission you can only find at night in the swamps somewhere, you can only get it once you've encountered the night folk
Don't forget to check on Marko Dragic and his "son" in a couple days. It won't show up on the map. (And check his lab thoughouly).

47:50 you could have kept both cougar pelts. You didn’t have to discard it. You can hold about 4 cougar pelts.

When you go to the gunsmith max out all types of ammunition you don’t want to run out again especially if you have to fight off bounty hunters
