Today, I am going to rank every Red Dead Redemption 2 character in a tierlist, by combat ability.

And Deadeye is just a representation of how quick their reflexes are, which is insane. Micah seems to "kind of" have a Deadeye, just not as good as Marston or Arthur. In the scene Sean gets shot, Micah quickly headshots 3 guys before Sean hits the ground, so he's no slouch for gunslinging.
He's a brilliant gunslinger the only better gunslingers are Marston, Arthur, Landon Rickets and Dutch (debatable). I've heard Red Harlow was a great gunslinger but I don't know anything about him.

@@mrepical7235 True Landon is featless but the game tells us he's one of the best gunslingers in his prime, depends really if you take the games word for it.
Where are you even getting this from? People really do make anything up to downplay Micah. No one has Dead Eye. How are they not getting it? It's not a power, it's a game mechanic for the player. It represents the character's speed with a gun. They're not slowing down time, they're just shooting very quickly. Micah is better than John and on par with Arthur. Rockstar confirmed this at a conference I went to. Micah is immune to John's "dead eye" because he simply out speeds and outclasses him.

Fair points, although someone pointed out in the final standoff when Arthur reveals what Micah is, he has his guns drawn much faster than Micah so I wouldn't quite say on par with him. Better than Red Dead 2 John, yeah, though I think Red Dead 1 John is on par with Arthur at his best.

Sean being higher then Lenny and Eagle Flies is a crime. I don't have a memory of him doing something crazy with a gun. But with the other two: Eagle Flies saves Arthur by shooting 3 soldiers in one sequence and Lenny literally carriers the trolley mission. Also I don't think Bill is better at combat ability than Sadie or Dutch
In "the fine joys of tobacco" Sean gets multiple headshots in the horse riding sequence, you need to actually shoot really fast if you want to take out some enemies before Sean, also Lenny carrying the trolley mission? What part of it did he carry, sure he did help out but Arthur really was the one doing all the work
@@BlackLungBadass Idk, in the burning tabbaco mission I actually did take enemies before Sean, while after the trolley crashes I'm shooting towards enemies and almost half of them are X'd by Lenny, like Arthur was working in tandem with him. So I guess it depends on the player. If the player lets these characters do their part they'll do it. Also canonically characters make fun of Sean for not being that good with the gun. All while Lenny is being praised for having good potential in that department. Listen to what Arthur says about Sean's gun skills in the beggining "Pouring For Oil" just before the train heist. Sean is somewhat like a young more inexperienced Hossa. He can have his moments but his best skills are his social creativity and the way he can talk himself into a situation that benefits him.
I agree with your points on Lenny and Sean but I don’t agree with bill not being able to beat Sadie and Dutch. A gun fight is debatable cause he was in the army but a fist fight I doubt Sadie and Dutch can handle bills raw strength and size (which he knows how to use)
@@Reed_M95 Bro but someone's strength and size doesn't really matter when he just can get shot. The one's who walk the path of the fist get killed by those who don't, cause the latter use guns instead
@@kubaswiton9030 I get what you are saying and that’s why I said a gun fight is up to debate. Bill was in the army and fought in a war but Dutch and Sadie are both incredible shots so it’s really 50/50. In a straight up street fight with no weapons, in my opinion Bill overpowers both pretty easily. I do agree that eagle flies would absolutely scalp Sean and Lenny should be higher than Sean. Seans shooting is kinda a joke and it’s implied by Arthur.
I actually think there should be a tier list for just physical fighting with no weapons involved. I believe charles would be the top dog cause that man can seriously brawl and is strong as an ox. Arthur and John would be close behind.

Micah may be a good fighter, but nobody should be giving him credit. He's a great gunslinger, but he doesn't deserve to be. Don't fight for Micah.

Dead Eye is just a representation of how quick there reflexes are, Micah has deadeye since he outweighed Johns dead eye, if we were to play as Micah wed have dead eye
For what it’s worth, Charles is probably the only one that can hold his own in a fist fight with Arthur. Maybe even beat him.
Arthur is probably stronger based on the first bar fight they got in. Arthur cleared all the minions very quickly to get into a fight with tommy. The other gang members were no where to be seen until this fight was over.
@@kaydens6964 that’s true I forgot Charles was there. Charles randomly throws a chair when the bar fight begins 😂 but just cause he was nowhere to be seen doesn’t mean he wasn’t kicking ass. After all, we are playing as Arthur.

Rank all the characters by how good their relationship is with Arthur
Only thing I would change is moving Dutch up on the list. Between Micah and Arthur/John. Mainly because he mentored Arthur/John, he survived past RDR 2 and was still giving the Pinkertons a hard time. Also thinking of the clip from rdr 1 where he hit Marston's binoculars from long distance with a pistol. He's definitely a warrior. Only drawback is you don't get to see his combat prowess much in the games, mainly his gift of the gab.
Sean started to show some character growth in chapter 3 and got better with a gun like when he headshots those two grays while sprinting on horseback away from the fire he and Arthur caused

The gang Frontline is Arthur, John, Micah, Javier, Bill, Charles and Dutch (i put Sadie too because she became Just as ruthless as the rest of these guys) so I think these guys would be the best of the gang
1 - Healthy Arthur (rivals Charles in melee combat, best shooter of the Gang)
2 - John (nearly as good as Arthur but was not in Guarma)
3 - Micah (literally negs John deadeye in American venom, shoots entire Towns)
4 - Dutch (shoots John from far in Rdr1, IS in the Saint Denis shootout with tremendous Head pain)
5 - Bill (Army man, Gang leader in Rdr1, solid fighter in Rdr2)
6 - Javier (Survived Mexico being even more wild than America, One of the best shooters in the gang, Personal killer of the Army in Rdr1)
7- Charles (Would beat everyone on this list in a One-on-one fight maybe Arthur too but would Lose to everyone on the list above in a draw duel, best bow user of the gang solid gun shooter nonetheless)
8 - Sadie (might be better than Charles in Guns, can clear the rest of the O'Driscolls by herself, became a ruthless bounty Hunter)
healthy arthur rivals charles ???arthur is a way better gunslinger any way 100 times better charles is ok with a gun and mainly real strong when it comes to hand to hand

Favorite Arthur moment is when Micah pulls the gun on him at the end of chapter 6, when the gang has the standoff. Although Micah reaches for his weapon first, Arthur still draws it before Micah, despite his failing health. Arthur Morgan, the fastest gun in the west
Sister Calderon got grabbed by a zombie and iced him afterword's in Undead Nightmare iirc, so she's got a a bit more fight in her than you give her credit.

Rains Fall should be higher. He has fought earlier in his life. And the last tier doesn't really make sense. Someone who's a pacifist doesn't need to be shit at combat ability.
My thing is that in a fight during the events of RDR2, Rains Fall would not fight back likely, and would try to find a different way, which makes his combat ability useless.
@@RedDeadTierLists I think if it came down to a "me or them" situation, Rains Fall would pull the trigger. He just doesn't have the chance to do it in the events of the game.
@@RedDeadTierLists And now when I'm at Bronte in the list I think kind of similar. He didn't have the chance to show his mid to low combat ability. If his Mauser didn't jam he would shoot either Arthur or John.

About Sister Calderon, Rain Falls, brother Dorkins and Thomas Downes, I wouldn't ranked them like that. Sistar Calderon says she did bad things in her youth, so maybe she can have combat abilities. Thomas Downes try to fight back Arthur when he comes for the money, even if it was pathetic. Rain Falls fought in the past so he has some capabilities. I think Brother Dorkins should be the last one.

Yeah, because a gun is a lot more powerful than any other weapon. Being good with guns makes you better than being good with any other weapon. If they are equal with guns or at least similar, that’s when I used hand to hand combat or other ways to compare them.

I get you find it sexist but it's really not because back then women didn't have much rights and men were always doing the work and women were doing house chores and sh*t and sister Calderon is like what in her 50-60's so she couldn't have a chance unless with a gun
Yeha back then gender roles lead to the women having much less dangerous jobs with very few exceptions o: Like the only girl gang member that regularly fights with the other gunslingers is Sadie, the other women definitely can hold their own but since Sadie’s the only one that consistently proves that she’s a fantastic gunslinger, the rest don’t have too much evidence of skill in comparison

I agree arthur is the best fighter in rdr2 but Marston in rdr1 surpasses him in deadeye speed and other areas like accuracy for example being able to shoot a rifle with perfect accuracy in deadeye with just 1 arm in a moving wagon
Sadie is no better than Dutch and in terms of short weapons we see that Micha is quicker on the trigger and better at aiming than Jhon Marston, although in terms of physical strength and skills with different weapons Jhon is actually ahead, but Micha is definitely a "terminator", he and Arthur slaughtered Strawberry and Rhodes, as Arthur said: "Why every time I go rob with you, it end up in a pile of dead bodies"
Thomas downes has a final smash toxic spit
Rains Falls, chief of a native american tribe, weaker than Thomas Downes, skinny farmer dying of TB. Just because he's personally a pacifist doesn't mean he's incable. Likely, he was still able with a bow and such. Could definitely beat everyone, up to Swanson, maybe higher.

Micah is not strong physically compared to Arthur, Charles or Bill, he shouldn't really be that high
It's because of his gun skill level and dead eye. He also fought sick Arthur, who is dying but is still considerably stronger than most. Lots of People shit on Micah for not completely dominating Arthur. That doesn't make Micah a bad fighter, it just shows how good Arthur is. Either way Micah was winning the fight and Arthur was doing a good job defending himself

But yeah Ur right, Micah can fight but prefers to use his guns even in close combat because it's probably something he's confident in doing.
Sean is probably the worst fighter in the gang, he's not physically strong, he's easily knocked down, he doesn't have the skills of a gunslinger, he doesn't know the weight of his loaded weapon, he can't make a quick draw, he doesn't have aim, he doesn't have intelligence. emotional, Uncle is better than him, Leny is better than him, Javier is much better, there is no comparison, Joel is better and I think even Cleet is better
Do people not realise that any character that's hypothetically controlled by the player is going to be really good. John and Arthur aren't necessarily better than Micah. John certainly isn't. We just don't get to play as Micah but if we did he'd be just as good. John and Arthur have identical skill for each player. That's not canon. Micah is canonically better than John. Even John knew he was outclassed. Sadie knew this too which is why she wanted John and Charles to help even the odds. They didn't know how big his gang was. They assumed they were just going up against him until Cleet told them he had a new gang.
