PHYANG FESTIVAL | PHYANG MONASTERY LADAKH

The festival takes place at the Phyang Monastery, which is located approximately 15 kilometers west of Leh, the capital city of Ladakh in northern India. Located amidst the spectacular landscapes of the Himalayas, the monastery provides a picturesque setting for the festivities.
It happens annually for 2 days in the month of july and August . The festival is dedicated to Skyoba Jigten Gombo, a saint and the founder of the Drikungpa order.
Masks Dance ( CHAM DANCE) steal the limelight of the festival.
