Worst thing is that he fully well knows it. Plus, an external political entity has no international right to tell the UK what to do within it's own borders.
Watching the Queen’s hat on a chair reminds me of that old Saturday Night Live sketch where Elvis Presley’s sequined coat goes on tour by itself. At the end of each show, to get the audience to go home, someone has to announce, “Elvis’ coat has left the building.”

I keep my washing machine in the laundry room it’s a room where you keep washing machines and extra clothing basket steam iron and ironing board it’s a whole little room of its own.

Wouldn't it be meaningful for the elderly in the U.K. to see the Queen finally in flats and with a cane or whatever, but still present at these public appearances? If she was my Queen, I think that I would rather see her like that than not at all. Especially if her replacement is a crown on a "thrown" and Charles who almost looks like he won't outlive his mother.

She's a very well known actor. Have you not seen 'Line of Duty' or 'Motherland'.
