Reminds me of teaching undergrads at a couple of U.S. universities. Midterm and final exam time was a very dangerous time for grandmothers. Seemed to get sick and die every year around exam. One guy's (a) piano teacher died at midterm time and (b) his uncle came out as gay around the xmas exam, both events "very traumatic for the family"
