I'm smart enough to realize that money is a tool, yet (presumably) naive enough to still think of money as a foundational tool to security, freedom and therefore happiness. Mr. Chandler (who is he?) seems to twist 'won' money with 'earned' money. I've read that 70% of lottery winners LOSE their money in a few years but those that regret ever having won is a much smaller percentage. I'll be following. Thanks for your energy on this. It gets me thinking.

Lottery winners just don't know how to enjoy their money LOL they probably feel guilty.

I'd love a debate about these statements. "Money does not give certainty". Not true money gives you the certainty that if you want you can buy a new home or fly first class. It is totally crazy how these gurus say things like this.
Which are not based in reality. I have had money and been homeless I guarantee you you have far more freedom and certainty with money than without Try choosing to fly first class without money ha ha. to say money does not give certainty is just false of course it does. You have the certainty you can pay your bills you have the certainty that you can travel to another country whenever you want. So many things become more certain when you have an abundance of money.
I wish people would get more real and stop pretending to be spiritual around money. For me, Money gives you so much freedom to choose multiple options in life it gives you far more choice and certainty.
So sorry guys this does not ring true with my experience. So here is my question for the gurus does money give you more choice or less choice? Of course, it is more choice this is what people love about having the money they feel anything is possible they are not limited
Of course, that power does come from within but to pretend that it's only from within and oute money does not give you more certainty or more freedom of choice s just a faulsehood
it has both aspects and the sooner we recognize that the better. . I guarantee you neither of these guys would be truly happy without their money they would suffer greatly if they lost their homes or could not pay their bills.. Come on please get more real.

Money is the most pragmatic and least spiritual thing out there.
Money won't make you happy but not having money will certainly make you miserable. How can you achieve the things you want to achieve without money? How can you leave your hometown if you haven't at least a way to make money when you're away, or save before you go? How can you live in a reasonable apartment without money? What if you want to live alone for the solitude (and you hate camping)? What if you want to take a week off work and go on a spiritual retreat? What if you want coaching from Michael Neil, or you feel like you could do with a professional to talk to (a therapist), or your sibling is mentally ill and suffering greatly and you need to go to a real psychologist?
I think what Michael is saying though is that money can provide many things, but the innate uncertainty of life remains. You never know what's around the corner. No amount of money can take out the black swans of life - covid, cancer, war... You can have all the money in the world and that'll make you certain about the bills or the house on a private island, but it won't stop your beloved wife being taken from you in the blink of an eye by a random event.

Actually I listened further into the video and yes ok... Michael's not saying what I thought he was.... It's a lot worse... It's just a piece of paper? No power at all? Ok... It really sucks to see your friends go to a cool event but you can't go because you can't afford it. That really sucks. Could be all zen about it... Or you could get some cash and have a good experience with your friends.. I'd choose the latter.

@@PCP1992 Yes agreed, of course, money cannot give certainty around random events of life, but even then having money gives you more choice. So ok your wife gets cancer you can choose to pay for the best treatment and go to the best specialists try having the certainty of that without money. LOL, again I'd love a debate about this.
